Hi, ds is 16months sleeps in my bed goes to sleep on a bottle but has to be getting cuddles&wakes constantly and cries he will have a bottle before bed and another at about 5 in the morning, he wakes countless times through the night I'm 31weeks pregnant and I'm finding it so hard he wont lay by himself he wakes if i try to move and screams wildly for ages I'm awake most of the night trying to keep him asleep he won't roll himself he lays beside me and always has to face me so i have to pick him up and move him to my other side. He often lays on top of me with his head on my chest. When he wakes during the night he often sits up and tries to go play. I don't want a screaming baby but also need to start getting sleep. Any ideas please ladies? hes always slept in my bed he was breastfed but started taking bottles two months ago hes always woken several times at night but its getting worse and worse.

hi missymoo9, I feel for you. When I was 18 weeks or so pregnant with DS, our DD 14mo was sleeping badly and I was so tired I took her to the Dr and said "what can I do?". He recommended controlled crying. I absolutely hated it, but it only took one night of re-settling her in her cot every 5 min for 2 HOURS, the second night she took 6 minutes to resettle and we had no problem after that. It was really really hard and I cried listening to her, but I was SO TIRED and needed the sleep so badly, I did a complete 180 as I was totally anti CC prior to that but found I was so desperate that I did it for sanity's sake.
Just wanted to give you some :hugs: and say I know how you feel. Please do something (whatever that may be)now as when bubs arrives you will need your energy for him/her.

Ih Geez, DS is also 16mo and has just started the exact same stuff. He used to sleep through so well but all of a sudden he is terrible. He has always been in his own bed though and is now in a toddler bed and is getting up every night and coming into bed with us and screaming for me. I can't even get up and go to the loo without him absolutely screaming the house down for me.
I did a bit of searching on the internet the other night and it seems that it is a fairly common thing for this age. Apparently around this time they start developing fears and can start having nightmares, which what I am sure DS is doing. I think it is just something I am going to have to work through until he gets better, but I am going to buy him a funky night light and see if that helps at all.
