View Full Version : Pepti Jnr, Neocate, Elecare - differences?
Just wondering if anyone can explain in laymens terms what the difference is between all of these formulas??
My DD has tried all and has been prescribed Neocate for milk protein allergy and ezcema. My paed explained them all to me but I sat there nodding my head for fear of looking stupid:confused: He used all these big words that I had no idea what he was going on about...lol
Eleanor you will prob see this and know a little....but anyone else as well?

Hydrolyzed Artificial Formula (http://www.infantrefluxdisease.com/hypoallergenic_baby_formula.php)
This link shows you the difference between the different types of perscription formulas. Which one did your Paed recommend, as you need a script to purchase. How old is your baby?
I've come in with no more ide than you at the moment M.
My DS1 went to the gastro and I had a quick chat about DS2 and he suggested we try Elecare as the Alfare is not solving his problem, just maintaining him ............ ????? WTH
Thanks for the link Goosie ... unfortunately my Alfare isn't on the list .....

Hi,
I think that is because Alfare is only semi hydrolysed. I dont know much about formula (not really my area of interest especially)

Babytoo-
My DS was pescribed Neocate. I have 2 boxes of the formula. My DS didn't take to it- ended up that he didn't need it anyways.
I would hate to throw the formula out.
Would you like the boxes?
Here is a link for u asbout it.
