Hi Everyone,

I am currently desperate to find a Mother's Group. I am a new mum to 4 week old Madeleine. None of my friends or family have children yet, so I am feeling a bit isolated and need some adult interaction. We live in Upper Kedron on Brisbane's North West side. Does anyone know of any groups around this area? Thanks.:fingerscrossed:

Might be worth contacting your local Community Child Health service (look up Health in the White pages, to find your nearest one, sorry dont' have the number for you). They will run baby clinics and also from these mother's groups often form. Also there are lots of mums here on bubhub from northside brisbane who have meet ups often. Good luck!!

You could also check out some playgroups in the area. Lots of mums take their newborns to them, as well as older kids. Its a great way to make new friends.

Child health can also put you in touch with a new mothers group. Try both these links:

Playgroups Qld (http://www.playgroupaustralia.com.au/qld/)
Child Health Qld (http://www.health.qld.gov.au/cchs/locator.asp)

PS. I'm at The Gap, not too far from where you are! :D
