I am currently 5 days overdue for my period. I took a pregnancy test on the day it was due and today (5 days later) and both results were negative.
I have been feeling bloated, cramps in my stomach and pelvic region, headaches, a little nausea but not much, obssessed with eating vegetables, drinking excessive amounts of water (over 3 litres a day!) and the bottle water i usually buy has been tasting strange.
My intuition tells me i'm pregnant but maybe its just all in my head??:(
Please help! Any comments and advice are much apprecited :D

:hugs:Some people don't get positives ever with HPT's so if you're convinced something is happening then go to your GP, get a quantitative BhCG blood test done and go from there. Hope you get the result you want.

:iagree: with Becca. Best thing to do is go to your GP and get a blood test done. That way you will know one way or the other.
Can I ask how long you'd wait to go to the Dr? I'm in a similar position where we've been ttc #2. My periods were due yesterday and haven't arrived. I did a HPT today and got a :bfn:. If my periods weren't here by Friday would you go to the Dr?
Sorry to hijack your post OP, but I was about to post the same thing.

I really hope that you are pregnant! When did you O? Maybe you O'ed later than you thought?
Every pregnancy is different - but generally speaking 18dpo is often long enough to wait for a positive result on a HPT. BhCG may be too low to detect prior than this and if you are going to test early - make sure you get a HPT that is designed to pick up low levels of BhCG in urine. If it were me, I would wait until I was 18dpo before getting a blood test done - however if you don't know when you ovulated - then a week past your due AF date should be long enough. That's my opinion only - so don't take it as gospel. Hope you get :bfp::babydust2:

Well i actually have an appt with my GP in 1 week from tomorrow. I made the appt over a month ago before I felt pregnant or was even overdue. I would like to move the appointment forward to this friday but I agree with everyone else in that u should wait longer just so the blood test result will be more accurate.
Hope you get a good result :) good luck :):D

Not sure when i did to be exact, but from what i have calculated, I did happen to have intercourse mid cycle (when i was O-ing i assume). So maybe i'll be just lucky enough to get a :bfp: :D
I hope so !

thanks everyone for your comments and help.
I think i will hold out and wait another week until my GP appt next Thursday (even though i really wanna know now!!) . That way my blood test will be more accurate....hopefully i will come back with a positive result! :) :) xx

Good luck.
With O'ing, I O from cd18-cd26 due to PCO, so cd14 (or around there) is not usually O day for some women!
