hi, i have come in contact with a girl called rachael that wants to organise a young mums group in the maroochydore area. We will be meeting on wednesdays each week, so whether your expecting or have a baby... or toddler.. or several!!! feel free to come along!
here is what we are up to for our first meeting:

Our first Mums Group Meeting will be held next Wednesday the 16th August 2006. I thought we could all meet up at a park to start off with so that we can get to know one another. If you wanted to bring a plate of something or even a packet of bikkies, that'd be great.

There is a big playground and duckpond right off Alexandra Parade ( the main road through Alex Heads along the beach ) down Okinja. It's right in front of Suncity Bowling Alley, if that helps.

I thought we could meet there, between 10am and 12pm and just have a morning tea. If you know of any good games that we could play to help us learn a bit about each other, keep them in mind and we'll play them on the day (I'll have a think as well...). If you have any friends that also have bubs, they're quite welcome to come, too. There will only be a few of us next week but hopefully we'll get more interested soon.

Hopefully see you there!! Have a great week!!

Rachael

if you are interested.. please just come along!!!!

thanks for reading this

take care, Belinda:wave:

It's all right Belinda - we're not offended...... just jealous!!

(OK, I'm not at the point where I'm making noises every time I bend over, but I'd still like to turn back the clock on the spare tyre I didn't seem to be lugging around in my 20's! ;) )

OK, you got me! I probably did always have a bit of a spare tyre, it's just far more pronounced now!

Hey, I'm always up for a nanna-cuppa! I work full time during the week, but weekends are great.

Otherwise I do have a weekly cuppa & get-together with a bunch of other great mums at the Caloundra library (& the Cafe Mediterranean afterwards for a chin-wag) every Wednesday morning. They have a great program at the library every Wed morn at 10am - goes for about 20mins - half an hour & they do nursery ryhmes & songs & stories. All the mums & bubs LOVE it!

You should come along (if it's not too far for you, I can't remember at the moment exactly where on the coast you said you lived - PG brain strikes again... or is it dementia...?! ) it's free & great fun!

Hey all

I'm youngish - 25 next week! :smiliedance: I live in Diddillibah, so not far from Maroochydore, i may be interested in meeting up. What has been organised?? Will it still be at the duckpond near the bowling alley? Let me know :D

Hi Proudmumma,

I'm Rachael - the mum that bel_aiden was talking about!:D

There will only be a few of us there this week (4 or 5) but hopefully we can get some more Coast Mums interested soon:fingerscrossed: .

It is still being held at the duckpond on Okinja so if you're interested, it'd be great if you could come along:wave:

Hope to see you there:fingerscrossed:

Proudmumma, by the way, i forgot to mention that we will all just meet up and get to know each other this first time but will all have a chat about what to do in the coming weeks. Some ideas were to go to the Babes In Arms Screenings at the cinema, bbq's, walks along the beach to help get fit, etc...

Let me know if you're interested:fingerscrossed:
