My First Time Tonight

Hi everyone,

It's my first time tonight, and I sent a message about 40 minutes ago by clicking on someone's thread - sorry about that Piglet. I realised I'd done the wrong thing and needed to click on new threat but it's taken me 45 minutes I think to find the new thread button!!

Anyway, some of you may know the dear woman who has become a friend, who is going to be our donor.

I look forward to getting to know you all.

I don't know how often I'll be able to hop on hubbub but I'm going to try as I've heard and read some wonderful stories so far through our friend.

Hey, I think I'm getting the hang of this!

Our donor found us at Sydney's Child, and we still can't believe our good fortune. We've been for all the tests and counselling etc, and we're now waiting for periods so that we can get our cycles linked up. It's unbelievable that it's all going to happen soon. There's a long way to go yet but our doc is giving us a 40-60% chance so we're going for the 60%!

I can't stay on long tonight as it took me so long to get going!! I'm working full-time and have an early start tomorrow so had better get to bed.

Yep, we feel very very fortunate, particularly after looking a little around the bubhubsite. Every day I'm counting my blessings just to have someone who is prepared to do this for us.

I so hope everything goes well. For both of us, as I know it's something that she really wants to do in her lifetime.

Hi there and welcome!:wave: I've been following your journey already through Angeldoula's lovely posts. Congratulations on finding such a committed, wonderful donor.

Come and post in the ED area so we can get to know you. There will be many of us here to cheer you on from the sidelines as you begin your ED journey.

We found our lovely donor through Bubhub and hope to be doing a cycle later in the year. Isn't it amazing that these incredible women are willing to give such an amazing gift? Not a day goes by when I don't send up a little "thank you" for our good fortune.

Thanks so much for your messages, and good wishes, and support. And I'm so pleased that those of you who have got to know M have connected that Angeldoula and Cradelweiss are a team - and a pretty good oneat that!

I must admit after so many years of not being a mother, I have never imagined I could be part of conversations of like-minded mothers, and I feel like a bit of an imposter on this site. But I also see there are many you, like me, here, looking forward to the future hopes of becoming a mother. So my good wishes and good fortune to you who are reading this too.

I won't be able to come on hubbub too often, working full-time and not having a permanent computer set up at home, I can though hop on my partner's laptop every few days though.
