Mucus Plug

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what a mucus plug looks like? I found a big clear clump of gooey stuff on the toliet paper when I wiped, Just wanted to know if this was my mucus plug or what??? This is my 1st pregnancy so I have no idea and Im only 35 weeks at the moment. Thanks :confused:

Hello

Mine had blood in it but it was quite clear. I had a show about 4 - 5 weeks before I went into labour so don't worry too much at the mo.

Sounds like your body is gently gearing up for a beautiful birth :D You can lose all or part of your plug many times before labour and it replaces itself. I hope you have a lovely gentle lead up to a great birth!
