I've noticed that Toys R Us have the Peg Perego Venezia on sale and am just wondering if anyone out there had any views on whether the Venezia was better than the Pliko?
Not sure about the V, but I have a Pliko and I love it.
I got the venezia when DS was born 4 years ago and still have it now....it lays flat and you can have bubs look at you which I have still at the moment and DD is 6 months.....it can then sit up in 2 more positions and turn around like a stroller so bubs is facing outwards. What I really like about it at the moment and since DD was born is that my DS stands on one of the foot rests when I am out shopping and he gets a ride so I don't need a toddler seat/double pram kind of thing! 4 years old and still going strong, still looks like new.....any questions just ask
The Pliko has a toddler step, folds sooooo easily (love that)
I can even hold my 3 year old and push the stroller.
I have been meaning to post a review - I highly recommend Pliko.
As I have seen Peg Perego is a high quality brand - good choice.

id get the pliko :D
i have the venezia (got it when had dd2 as i loved the step so dd1 could get on and off) and highly recommend it especially at the sale price (saw the catalogue too). a key difference between the 2 is that pliko has 2 handles while the venezia has one solid handle - some people have a real opinion on which is better or easier to maneuvre. i have found that all one bar handles are easier to push with one hand while 2 handles (lilke on my maclaren) you end up all over the place.
overall they are both good strollers and can come down to the deal you get (i don't think the plikos are on sale are they?) the deal on the venezia is great and i think if you ever sell it you woudl get back a lot of your outlay because it is so reduced and they are ALWAYS popular.

I have the Venezia and highly recommend it. Great versality, easy to lift and put in the car one handed, sturdy, durable. Love the Peg!

The Pliko got a bad rap from Choice Magazine advising it didnt pass all safety tests... heres some of the info they put in their April magazine. Hope this helps
PEG PEREGO Pliko P3
Price: $549
Good points
Has a ledge behind the seat for another child to stand on.
Adjustable handle height.Bad points
Foot opening (between seat and front bar) poses a risk that an unsecured child could slip down and get their head trapped.
No effective head barrier to prevent a child slipping out of the head end of the stroller when the seat is fully reclined.
Handle isn’t reversible.

Thanks to all who replied to my initial post - I've decided to stick with the Pliko - I had managed to pick it up for $149 so it was a bargain. I also bought (on the same day?!) a Bertini Bidwell very cheaply - so I think I'll just use the Bidwell when the baby is little and Pliko later on. I was very tempted though to sell the Pliko or the Bidwell and buy the Venezia while it was on special - but am too brain addled now to do anything !!! Thanks again for your input.
