Hi everyone,

My DS (19 months) has been on cows milk since he was 11.5 months old.

Last week he vomited every night after his bottle. He was fine, no problems, then up it all came, in big chunky, congealed lumps (sorry TMI). Then last night, he vomited ALL night. He kept asking for a bottle but would have a few sips then up it came. He was happy and ready to play (and at 3am, I wasn't! lol) and generally 'ok' otherwise.

Also, he hardly ever eats. Today for example, he had:
2 quarters of toast with vegemite
1 bite of banana
1 biscuit
1 mouthful of yoghurt
2 bottles of milk (260ml)
and thats all!!!

He is offered everything under the sun, he just wont eat. Do you think he may be LI??? PLEASE throw your suggestions at me! We're seeing our GP at the end of the week but a few ideas will be much appreciated!

Thanks!!!!

P.S. Sorry for the :ecomcity::ecomcity::ecomcity:

My experience is it depends on the doctor.

When my DS was around 9 months old he was getting lots of tonsilitis & being given antibiotics regularly. The GP said to cut out all dairy products because he is lactose intolerant- that the brand of formula I use is based on goats milk which is very low lactose. It seemed to work at the time- he cleared up and I gradually reintroduced small amounts of dairy.

At his 12 month checkup with the paediatrician he said he couldn't possibly be lactose intolerant as his formula is based on cows milk and his symptoms would have continued.
