Vinegar douche for a girl (Might be TMI)

DH and I want to TTC#2 at the end of the year and would love a little girl. While we would be happy to have a healthy baby we would like to have a shot at the pigeon pair! :p

I have heard that a vinegar douche 10-15 mins before BD increases your chances of a girl. It apparently kills off the boy sperm and creates the best environment for the female swimmers.

I have a couple of questions:

Has anybody done this and been successful?
And HOW do you actually do it? I am just wondering how you get the vinegar to the right place? (sorry if TMI).

Any suggestions would be great! Thanks in advance!

Ok well what I was saying was.....
I have read a bit on douching but came to decide it was not that good, infections etc.
I would focus on timing intercourse few days before ovulation, male sperm swim faster and die earlier, so trying 3-4 days before ovulation will let the boys get there first but have no egg waiting. By the time the girlies slowely swim there the egg can be there ready to go!

Oh and if 3-4 days does not work next cycle take it down to 3 days.... but no more than 2 days before ovulation!!

Hmm I would think it might. I don't think I 'll try it, too scared.:confused: I read about it though and O & B's mum is right there are risks to douching yourself, stuffing up the Ph down there etc can't be good for ya.:no:

That's what I did this time around because we wanted a girl......it worked for us. It's called The Shettles Method.

Determining when you ovulate is vital when you are learning how to conceive a girl. Shettles recommends that you have sex 2 1/2 to 3 days BEFORE ovulation in order to increase your chances of conceiving a girl. Having sex closer to ovulation will dramatically decrease your chances of conceiving a girl. The timing of intercourse in relation to ovulation is a vital factor in increasing your chances of having a girl.
