OMG nipple pain during ovulating???

Anyone getting this? I thought it was thrush again but nope, pretty sure its to do with my cycle that has just returned. :banghead::hair::thumbsdown:

Im going to wean if this continues. Anyone have any tips at all for getting through this?? Its absolute agony, its a burning and scraping pain like DS is chewing on me. :crying: I never knew this could happen.

Oh Lord I hope not. Im taking a HPT soon, when DP gets back with one. 10 days ago I had my first AF since falling pregnant with DS, it lasted 5 days with a v. heavy bleed, it was definitely an AF. Since then we havent DTD cause Im terrified of falling pregnant. So long story short, I'm 99% confident Im not pregnant. Which means Im now day 10 of my cycle, right around my O time, so I assumed the pain which came on yesterday was due to O-ing.:confused:

Well it could be? NOt something Ive heard of or personally experienced. I would prob try and rule out other explanations first, for that extent of pain ie thrush. Is it easing off?

I had a day weeks ago where both my babies (am tandem feeding) seemed not to like my milk. Anyway turns out I am pregnant, so my guess is that I was ovulating on that day. Something was going on though. I dind't have any pain though.

Yes, I get horribly sensitive nipples when ovulating. It has improved over the last few months. I too used to think it was thrush! I absolutely hated breastfeeding during ovulation, but it's not so bad anymore. It is only for a few days and then it settles down but at the time it's astonishingly uncomfortable.

Yep I get this and during my period. No advice as I haven't found a way to stop it hurting. I just breath through it and try to concentrate on the tv or something else.

Thanks lovelies. I've read online that evening primrose oil can help so Im gonna start taking tablets tonight. Ill do a HPT tomorrow morning with FMU but pretty sure itll be a BFN. If the oil doesnt work then Ill just try to tough it out. Its AWFUL tho. :no:
