Will any of the girls here be finding out the sex of your baby.
Or keeping it a surprise for birth.
I have been thinking about this because dh and I started out thinking we would wait till birth, but now I think I want to find out.
I really want a girl and if I find out now I can get used to the idea of having a boy, or go nuts buying little dresses and pink muslin wraps if it's a girl;)
Also the not knowing would drive me nutty, I'm not very patent.
So I guess you can put me down for finding out early:laughing:

We have our 19 week scan at the beginning of Sept and we want to find out the sex. We are holding off doing the nursery until we know as I want it to be blue or pink! I think we will keep it a secret from our families though but I might mention it in here, I am not sure yet.
We will definitely keep the names secret from family, we have already chosen the names for either sex.

I found out the sex
And I will again with any other bubbies!
A few reasons:
1. We could start buying clothes etc (& so could our families' lol)
2. We could paint and set up the nursery (and didnt have to do neutrals)
3. Could narrow down our names' list!!!
4. We felt more attached to our bubs' (we named him for a start, but we could also call him 'he' instead of 'it' or 'bubs' hehe)
And there was still the suprise of what he looked like :smiliedance:
Goodluck in your decision!!

I'm with you on that one hells bells. Dh and I wouldn't tell others what the sex is either.
You have to have some private things.

Yes it is important to keep some things private (IMO)
I have even had my BIL suggest names (including naming the bub after himself!) and he has said a couple of names that we liked, so now we won't use them as it would seem that he named our baby if we did

Leaning towards yes, but not 100% sure. May leave it to be a suprise. May want to find out earlier so I can buy some boy or girlie things. But then, it is not 100% guarenteed if you find out anyway. Hmm  .

With both our boys DH and I didn't want to know the sex at all. We loved the surprise of it at the end. We found out the sex this time around because I was REALLY wanting a girl, so I figured if I was told it was another boy I would have had 5mths to get use to the idea. If I hadn't been wanting a certain sex, I definately wouldn't have found out this time either.

Hi everyone
I think it comes down to personal choice and what feels right. I didn't find out with my first three & really enjoyed the 'surprise" element, however with my 2nd marriage DH wanted to know badly so he could get ready early ( he really wanted a boy & we had a girl but he was only dissappointed for a minute - and shes still a daddy's girl to this day!) our second baby I found out by accident at the ultrasound as baby was chucking a leggy and he was showing off to all!! I tried to keep him a secret, but I was so excited and Dh wasn't at the u/s & nagged until I told (so I tried saying it was a girl - he chucked a tanti to rival any toddlers, refusing to set up the cradle for me LOL) & after apologising and agreeing that it didn't matter as long as the baby was healthy, I didn't have the heart or willpower to keep it from him. Our third we found out as we agreed that whatever came was fine and we preferred to be ready as it was elective c/s. (not much time for shopping later)
This time we're going for the surprise as its our last addition and we'll be thrilled either way.:yelclap:
Good luck everyone, I'm sure like me you'll get exactly what you want - a baby LOL :smiliedance:
