I everyone, i am 9 weeks pregnant and have been very sick. I am currently taking Maxalon 3 times a day just to get through and it has been going on for 3 weeks. I am struggling to enjoy the pregnancy being this sick. Anyone with any tips would be very helpfull. :)

Have you tried sea bands? I was really sick and ended up being admitted to hospital cause medication didn't help but sea bands provided a little relief.

Hi! I know exactly what you are talking about! It will pass eventually... I was very sick with both my pregnancies. I had really bad hypermesis & literally had to keep a bucket on me 24/7 up until about the 13 week mark (I am only sick once in the morning now between about 3am-6am - Im 23 weeks now) but it's absolute heaven compared to how bad It was...

I know it is so hard -I really feel your pain! I had to get people to come and help with my daughter as I was that sick I couldnt even get out of bed! I found maxalon didnt really help much either- you may have to go to hospital & be put on a drip if you cant keep anything down & believe me you dont want that!

The sea bands do come highly recommended by lots of people- I gave them a shot & wore them everyday & I do think on some occasions they applied a little bit of relief! You need to wear them in the right spot though and for such a small price they are definately worth a go!

You should also go to the local chemist and get some Hydration iceblocks or the sachets (I would definately recommend the sachets over the iceblocks plus you wont need to drink as many) but even if you cant keep it all down- keep trying to sip at least every 5-10 mins or so- they restore electrolytes so even if you do vomit at least it is rehydrating you a little bit. Gatorade is also very helpful as it has electrolites too both are probably better than water.

You are 9 weeks now is that right?- usually once you get to the 12 week mark it will start at least subsiding and I know it seems like forever & a day but the time will come and you will be able to start enjoying you lil bundle of joy! I know it is hard but try to keep down some fluids- and when you get up or anything try to take it really slow- this should help the nausea a little bit too.

Also a bit of personal advice I dont know if you are on any morning sickness herbal tablets (blackmores) or anything- but they made it alot worse for me- both pregnancies I tried & apparently they make alot of other mummies sick too! Also when you get up in the morning you could try to have some ginger biscuits (or plain if you cant stomach ginger) at your bedside and nibble on those about 10 mins before you get out of bed... I hope some of these ideas will help you iof you decide to try them- I will keep my fingers crossed for you.. Good Luck! :fingerscrossed:
