So just after the footy finished on tv last night my whole house creeked I said to DH what the f**k was that? DH replied with I dunno I said hmm maybe it was an earthquake  and so it was  but apart from thinking someone was on the roof it really had no impact as we live in munno para west quite far from the epicentre. So who actually felt the ground move? What was it like?

We live at Mt Barker which is apparently close to the epicentre they were talking about on the news.

It lasted only about 20secs, but the whole house shook and windows rattled, but nothing moved out of place that I noticed or broke (was only 3.8) and my cat looked a bit freaked.

DH and I were on the couch looking at each other like wtf, it was like a Jumbo Jet flew right over the house (DH described it like really loud thunder). :D

My DH thinks it's the start of the movie 2012
I know it was only small but the way people are talking on my FB is like it's the end of the world. and half of them don't live or were at the time anywhere near the epicentre. I guess it's the biggest thing to happen in Adelaide ever  we don't get much action hey?

My god facebook and twitter were going stupid, people were creating and joining "We Survived the Earthquake of 2010" groups and there is already a tshirt for sale :D.

I said to DH jeez must be a slow night in Adelaide (well when isn't it hehe) for them to all pouncing on the quake (and the end of the world theories like 2012 will be back with avengeance).

Apparently Adelaide is on/near the fault line though and we have about 20 quakes a year sometimes but no one notices them.

I did, we were at home playing board games. I live in prospect and the house was shaking. Most exciting thing that's happened in Adelaide for centuries. I'll admit to being a wee bit worried :p
