Hi everyone,

I have been looking at purchasing some Dymples bottles as my Avent ones are making me crazy, I have checked our Pigeon teats fit them.

I was just wondering if anyone has used them and if they can be put in a steam steriliser as the packet doesnt say anything other than

"boil teat for 60 seconds. Bottles dishwasher safe- top rack only"...

I dont want to buy them if I cant sterilise them and the harder plastic dymples bottles dont say they are BPA free :(.

To be honest I dont even know why BPA is bad, I just know im not meant to buy bottles that arent...:o

I'm not too sure about Dymples bottles, but I use MAM bottles (also BPA free) and they are fine to steralise. I just use a microwave steam steraliser so no chemicals. Easy :)

And BPA is a chemical they put in the plastic to make it clear. It can then seep out into the milk after being used over and over again. Its the same principal as how we are told not to reuse plastic water bottles etc. Although I'm not sure what sort of percentage it is of it actually causing any harm. You could also try glass bottles, they are great too.

Hi, sorry, not really answering your question here. Do your Avent bottles leak?
If so, you may want to give Avent Australia a ring as my Avent BPA Free bottles leaked and I emailed them and got the leaking bottles replaced with new ones which do not leak :smiliedance: :smiliedance: :smiliedance:

Apparently, older batches of the BPA Free Avent do leak and Avent has made a slight modification to their new batch and bottles from the new batch do not leak.
