Hey Kel,
That's fantastic :yelclap: I wish you the best of luck losing weight hun.
I don't have much to suggest other than lots of steamed veggies, fish, fruit, salad and meats like steak.
Stay away from breads, pasta and dairys.

I agree with Lauren. :) Steamed, boiled and grilled veggies, fish, meats (chicken without skin and lean meats) are the best! Also when you want something sweet, have fresh or dried fruit.
Good luck with the diet. I'm also struggling with mine at the moment. For some reason, I've had so much cravings this week!!! Must get back on track! :)

Good luck with your healthier eating Heymamma.
Before I got pregnant I was using the calorieking website for healthier eating ( I lost 8kg before I got pregnant!) You don't have to be a member to access their recipes, and they have great stuff to make sure you don't get bored with the same old recipes. I found it great for getting more fruit/veg into our diets.
Hope it's useful and good on you!:yelclap:

This is easy, super delicious and healthy
Warm Chicken Salad
2 small or 1 large chicken breast chopped
1 purple onion
1 clove garlic
1/2 bottle Paul Newmans Lite Basalmic Vinegar dressing
A good squeeze of honey
Cracked pepper to taste
A few pinches of basil
(This is usually enough for 2 or maybe 3)
Fry up onion, pepper, garlic in a large frying pan, then add chicken. When cooked add salad dressing and honey. Cook for a minute or 2 and voila.
I pile up a salad on a plate. I used mixed lettuce, tomato chopped, shaved parmesan, some chopped black olives, cucumber, sliced mushroom and carrot slivers. Any salad type thing is fine from a bag is even quicker. Then pour the chicken mixture over your salad and eat straight away. It is just delicious especially with the parmesan cheese

My Dh was diagnosed with Coeliacs over 12 months ago, Which is an intolorance To wheat and gluten. Since cutting wheat and gluten from his diet he is back to a flat belly instead of a keg of beer  Maybe that might help you.

I do agree that steamed veges and fish and such are good choices for weightloss.
However, I think they are bland and tasteless and if I tried any such thing I'd certainly give up and resort to eating badly again.
You CAN eat better without eating like health-nut...you just have to learn a thing or two and take a long time doing the shopping.
Get aquainted with Calories/kiloJoules and fat content.
You can convert kJ to Calories if the packaging doesn't have it already converted... there's basically 4.1kJ in every 1 Calorie... so when something has 1000kJ just divide it by 4.1 and you'll get how many calories it is (or just divide it by 4 and assume there's a little less than the number you ended up with...it's easier that way).
Therefore, a product containing 1000kJ contains a bit under 250 Calories.
For a FEMALE wishing to lose weight, it's best that she consumes a maximum of about 1200 Calories a day.
A lot of low-fat products are really great...you can eat things you love but still manage to avoid excess Calories.
The Weight Watchers brand is an easy way to do so...but check the nutrition panels...sometimes there are even healthier options than the WW brand.
Use skinless meat...and always go for LEAN meat and chicken breast. If you want to use mince (it's very very fatty), look for diet mince (or one with the heart foundation tick!).
Wholemeal bread and pastas are much healthier and won't instantly turn into fat like white breads and pastas. (Wholemeal pasta actually tastes exactly the same when in sauce...and it cooks quicker too!).
Remember to eat regularly. That's the major key. Eat often, and healthily, and don't skip meals. In fact, have snacks as well. A good way to eat is...
Breastfast
Snack
Lunch
Snack
Dinner
Snack (optional)
This ensures that your metabolism is kept up-to-date and your body doesn't go into starvation mode (if you wait too long in between feeds, your body will assume there's a famine and resort to storing fat...so anything you pop in your mouth after that will go straight to your behind!).
Veges are the BEST option if you're feeling hungry...
I'd recommend getting a book like "The Lazy Girl's Guide to Losing Weight and Getting Fit" by AJ Rochester...it's got good advice about eating (and exercise if you're interested in that). I'd also recommend getting yourself a Calorie Counter... you can find different foods in there and see how many Calories they contain (things like KFC...White Wing cakes...mayonnaise...basically anything in a few different brands). It'll give you an idea of what's better for you than what (did you know that crispy-based pizza is pretty much as fattening as regular-based pizza?).
