Hi ladies..

I am just wondering what do you do when you are working from home and you have your kids with you? How do you stay motivated to do work? Do you feel lazy because you are home?

I work from home and lately, i have been feeling like I cant be bothered doing anything. I have been doing alot of advertising online etc, but to actually go out and find prospects, its like I cant be bothered, or I wont today because the kids are grizzly.

Any advice would be good :)

I try to make all bisiness outing kids based, like let's go pick up stock, then we get to have a picnic at the park. Tends to motivate me a bit more knowing me and my kids get rewarded at the end of a big day.

If I'm doing bookwork I try involve him, give him a calculator pen and paper and count as I add or read outloud, like I'm spending time with My boy teaching him while working.

With regards to motivaion, I try think of it as if I can get x number of sales, we get to go here, or on this holiday, or get this treat. makes me feel better about workin when I could be playing with my boy, knowing I'll get an even better time with him in the end.

Hope this helps a little bit.

Have you tried working in blocks of time. Depending on the ages of your children you can set them an activity per task that you have. Setting a timer for them can help so they watch and gain an understanding of time management. When the timer goes off you can then set a 5 minute pack up or change over for them.

I know it can be time consuming and drag on but it actually teaches your children a lot too.
