play dough recipe?

has anyone got a recipe for play dough?

On the back of food dye box
1 cup plain flour, 1/4 cup salt and 1 tablespoon of olive oil, food dye as desired and water to form a workable dough.. store in fridge

Playdough

2 cups plain flour
4 tablespoons cream of tartar
2 tablespoons cooking oil
1 cup salt
food colouring
2 cups water

Mix the above ingredients in a sauceoan, and stir over medium heat for 3-5 minutes, until the mixture congeals.

(Taken straight from the McKenzie's Cream of Tartar tin)

I love this recipe and is the best I've found so far, good luck!

Thanks guys.... DS must have seen me making pastry earlier and i just found him with a pin ( from a bowling set) trying to roll flat his chocolate :laughing: how cute:) i have to make him some play dough now i reckon :yes:

Awww too cute! Good luck with your playdough, I'm sure he'll love it. I keeps ours in the fridge after the girls are done and it lasts quite a while.
