Is this normal??

We have been TT DS1 for two weeks, and most days he is excellent - even does poos in the potty, and tells us somehow (still trying to teach him to say potty mum!!!) when he needs to go, but then other days like today, he just seems to completey forget, and comes he tells us after he has done had a wee in his underpants. There was nothing different about today...... Is this normal, do we expect to have a few of these days everyonce in awhile??

HI Jkat, yes it sounds so normal to me, every kid is different and sometimes they regress who knows why and there are good and bad days at times.

I am tt my youngest dd at the moment I just keep rewarding her successes with a sticker and I don't make a big deal of the accidents. I just say never mind next time when you need to go lets try and make the toilet and get her a fresh pair of undies. I have a pretty casual approach to TT.

Yep, it happens here too. DS1 still sometimes forgets, especially first thing in the morning.

Just wanted to add that sometimes they get so involved it what they are doing they forget to go, this even happened to my son at preschool and he was at least 4 then.

Thanks Elfin and Starlet :hugs: , I was starting to think, they maybe I was doing something wrong. We will just keep going with all the prasies (even I get a big clap and a "Well Done Mummy" from DS1 when I go to the toilet :eek: :laughing: ) and stars and wiggles undies!!
