YES!!! I've had them for about a week now and I swear they bite!! I have tried putting a light on outside to attract them so they don't come in but they are still venturing in. Not quite so many but they are still there. Cheeky little buggers!

OMG. I just ranted to my partner about the "little green bugs". they are everywhere. They are landing on the bed, and my son.

They seem harmless though.

i've just looked up in the loungeroom, and noticed they are also there.

Im up on the Sunshine Coast and they are everywhere!!. I put my boys in the bath and looked at the bathroom window and its was GREEN with bugs. Thousands upon thousands of them!.

We have done the same thing and put a big spotlight on outside and it seems to be ok inside now.

Yep DF and I were having a whinge about them literally 2 minutes ago!

We've got our kitchen light on and nothing else so they go to that one area (we've already had dinner so don't need to use the kitchen).
Last night I was watching tv and ended up covered in them becaue there was a light on above the couch! Stupid, annoying little green bugs!

I don't have any here! Are they winged? I had a similar swarm last year (but these looked like ant with huge lacy wings) and it turned out to be termites flying away to mate en masse.

Whatever they are, they've made it to Bundaberg as well.

We have hundreds of them in the house. DH killed a couple 100 last night, but there back tonight and are driving me nuts.

They're currently all over the laptop screen...and all over me.

im in beenleigh (south brisbane) & they are driving me insane i swear they bite to! i bought a bug zapper so im hoping that works. i got a close up of one on the fly screen & they are small enough to fit through. so the only way to eliminate them inside is to shut the house up completely. does anyone know what they are called?

We have them here too :hair:

At dusk yesterday as the kids walked aross the lawn, you could see just swarms of them coming up as they trod on the grass and last night there would have been millions of them on our glass doors and another million on our lights :hair:

Same here. They adore our kitchen light and we can't really get around having that one off at night time. Basically as soon as dinner is done, we turn all the lights off, but then they just flock to the tv.

Driving us bonkers! Teeny weeny little green grasshoppery dudes. Grrr. I wish the weather would turn cold so we could keep the house shut and keep them away. So annoying.

They're in Rocky too, I think they must get through the holes in the screens. Have benn around for 3 nights, but I noticed not as bad last night, so hopefully they'll be gone tonight!

Hi girls ,

The bugs you speak of are JASSIDS (http://www.cottoncrc.org.au/content/Industry/Publications/PestsandBeneficials/CottonInsectPestandBeneficialGuide/Pestsbycommonname/Jassidsandleafhoppers.aspx) (DH is an agronomist :D). And yes, they are indeed sneaky, biting little pests!!! We have them every season and I have to say I'm kinda glad others find them sooooo annoying!

Good luck staying away from the little pests.

No worries hun! He does come in handy sometimes :p. Our girls are always collecting bugs to show Daddy, I dread the day when they stump him!!!
