Big Ted Birthday Cake

I would like to make a Big Ted (from Playschool) birthday cake for my daughter's first birthday next week. She loves her Big Ted.

I don't know where to start though. Any ideas??

You could print out a picture of him from the internet or enlarge a colouring in book page and go from there to get the shape. Making a bear cake isn't too hard - you could also check out some of the kids bday cake books - most of them will have some sort of bear cake. You'd just need to make him yellow with black eyes, nose and mouth and you'd be right. I'd do him with a little t-shirt that could say "Big Ted" so that everyone knows exactly who he is!

This website has loads of homemade teddy bear bday cakes.

Also the women's weekly party cake book has all the patterns in the back of the book so you can cut the cake around the shape you want, I am pretty sure there is a teddy bear, you can just decorate it the way you want , yellow icing smartie eyes , licoroce mouth etc.
