last week i had my 1st af since having DS, every where i read i seem to notice they are normally heavy.. or just like they were pre-baby... mine lasted 4 days but was EXTREMLY light (tmi coming.....) but my bleeding didnt look normal, it was kind of brown (TMI) and not at all like my af's of the past. has any-one else had this with their 1st AFs PP?

thanks in advance for any advice or comments!!

i had a similar experience. my first af came when bub was 6 weeks old and i kid u not it started mid arfternoon and was light, just like they usually start off (tmi, i know), anyway at about midnight i went to toilet and there was nothing there... i had changed pad at about 10 before bed and now there was nothing. so i went to bed and when i got up again in the morning...again nothing. well that was 2 1/2 mths ago now.
wierrrd
(mind u i dont mind not having them, just like to know where they r)

Mine too were really really light and at the same time all my friends in the same boat had an extremely heavy af first time.

I just finished my second cycle since having my bub and all is back to normal.

All is normal.

Interesting that I stumbled across this thread. I had some discharge the other night and thought it might have been af but it was really really light and then I had nothing. It too was a brownish colour..... I had always heard the first one after having a baby was heavy....????

I have had 2 periods now, and both have been extreamly light....4 days and hardly ANYTHING! I'm usually in bed with a hot waterbottle and Panamax and about 2 packs of supers in the cupboard!!

Any idea if they will stay like this?

i had an appointment with my gyn today and during the conversation he mentioned that periods are generally lighter and less painful (if they were previously) after birth..no idea really as i still haven't had one but that's just something he said
