Have only just starting to TT my 27 month old little girl who is quite happy to wear knickers, knows exactly what wee wee and poops are, wants to come with me and watch (no privacy anymore!) when I go to the toilet.

She sits on the potty (our loo with a cushy seat on it) and knows exactlly what to do and has even managed a few wees on there too.

HOWEVER........!!! When hanging out around the house she just holds it in. Even though she sits on the potty throughout the day this afternoon after she woke around 1pm, she didn't do one wee up until she had her bottle around 6.30pm when she was sitting on her lounge and it was H U G E! I kept reminding her about her potty, but she must have just sat there and peed everywhere then was just happy to SIT in it??? Ewww, the poor thing.

I didn't make a big deal, I just discovered it and said I'd better change her pants and next time try to use the potty and she was a bit upset wanting to "keep them on" referring to her pants.

I'm feeling like she's ready but is this a sign she isn't?

Thanks for your wisdom!

Hope you get an answer. My DS is doing a similar thing, didn't do a wee at daycare all day today, finally weed outside at 6pm. (enormous). He seems to be anxious about the toilet, he won't wee in a nappy, he won't wee in the toilet.. argh.

Sounds like she's a little bit anxious. I would back off and try again in a week or two. Maybe focus on some fun stuff like flushing the loo or wiping etc.

I had similar problem with my son whos 32 months old now. He started toilet training around the same age as your dauter and he was really good with the poo job and staying dry overnight (but he was off the bottle by then, which could make a difference in your situation), but untill very recently he would not do a wee in the toilet he went from weeing in his knikers to holding out for hours on end. there were days when he would just go to the toilet once per day. he almost drove me insane, for his own health more than any thing else and it was too late to put him back on the nappies. to cut a long story short, after trying every thing and all the method anyone can think of , I found the only thing that worked is telling him that he has to go to the toilet to do a wee or else he'll wee in his favourite Knikers and he can no longer be able to wear them. magically enough he started telling me when he needed to wee`( eventhough he still spot his underwear before telling me, we are deffinetly one step forward). hope this will work for you too.:fingerscrossed:
