Hi there!
Not too sure if this is the right section or not, but i'm hoping you'd be able to help me.

Just wondering when did you stop putting your little one in a high chair and taught them to eat from a normal chair and table? (is that even what you do!?!?!) Or did you have a booster seat? (what do they look like? tray or no tray?)

Are there any tricks to it?

I'm in no rush really, just curious, thats all. I got DD2 arriving in 3 months so i'll need the high chair for her in about 7 months time.

Any advice/suggestions/ideas is greatly appreciated.

TIA!
:)

we use Ikea high chairs they are so much easier but better for an older bub, my 3 yo twins sit at the table and i use a small step stool kinda thing for them to sit on which i put on my regular dining chairs. My 2 yr old is in an ikea antilop high chair with the tray removed and i push it upto the table. Works great for us, they are cheap you can get them for about $25 i think now and they dont take up much space either.

We used a bumbo and tray on the kitchen counter at 6 months.

After that a Mothercare little wooden low chair with tray. It was about knee high off the ground.

Now hes 3 and a bit and we use a stokke trip trap chair with no tray and just move it to the table for family meals and keep it at the breakfast bar for snacks and drinks during the day.

We will have that chair for years. It can be used for babies right up to adults.

My son is 21 months now and has occasional meals in the gig chair but usually its on his little table and chairs, on a stool at kitchen bench or sitting on a regular chair at the table. He is short but manages just fine.

Thanks for the replies.
i'll see how DD1 goes in her chair without her table but she loves it. i could get her a smaller chair and table set but i dont want her to feel excluded from our dining table. she loves to be part of the family. the only reason why i was thinking of moving her out of her chair was cos her baby sister would need it once she starts eating solids. i guess i could just play it by ear and DD1 always has her couch she can eat on without making a mess.

Thanks guys!!

My ds used his highchair until just after he turned 2.5. He had a little table & chairs, but the best way to get him up to the table, especially when visitors were over, was to put him in the high chair.
