Thrush or Nappy Rash

Hi
How can you tell the difference between thrush and nappy rash.
My DD has never had nappy rash until recently and nothing has changed, except 2 weeks prior to this she was on antibiotics, so I am thinking it might be thrush.
How could I treat it?

Before applying any lotion or potions, have the thrush confirmed by a Dr, CHN or chemist. If it is thrush, there are commonly available antifungals which should treat quickly. Just remember to wash all clothing, towels, bedding and nappies (if using cloth) in a hot wash to prevent reinfection.

If it's not thrush, then you'll need to find the cause of the rash and remove it eg. frequency of nappy changes, possible food reactions, detergent residue (if using cloth) etc. This will be a more effective solution than buying lots of expensive creams to try.
