Blackmores Pregnancy Tablets Warning

Just to let you know that I bought a bottle of the Blackmores Pregnancy and Breastfeeding tablets the other day. I opened the bottle and they smell really really awful. I usually take them, so I know they are different to usual.

I rang Blackmores and they're going to refund me the rrp of the tablets if I return them, which is fine.

I just thought it might be helpful to know in case anyone else thinks theirs may be a bit sus too. The batch number is 116136.

had the same with my last bottle, stinks of fish oil. One of the capsules had leaked.

It's funny that you should post about this as I am half way through a bottle of these (140 tablet size) and I thought just the other day that they smelled very badly of the fish oil - did Blackmores say if they are still ok to take??

My batch number is different to yours though...maybe I should call them before I take anymore to see if they are ok to take or not?

Actually they didn't say over the phone if they were safe or not, I guess it depends on the smell. If you're at all concerned I'd replace them just to be safe. Mine smell chemically rather than fish oily, so I didn't want to take any chances.

Dh thought they smelled weird too, and normally bad smells don't bother him at all.

Probably best to give them a quick phone call, I found they were quite helpful.

The number on mine is 116795, whats your Dolphin?

I thought I had gastro, (severe cramps, the runs etc) stopped taking the smelly tablets and it all stopped! Can't be too good if they were doing that!
