yes I do and its a waste of time - makes no different
I remember reading on a thread a little while ago that these baby on board stickers weren't actually meant to alert drivers that you had a baby on board rather for medical personell if you had an accident or something and that they should be aware that there was a child on board in case in the accident that child had been thrown from the car.....i think that was what it was:confused:

A couple of days ago I saw a woman driving her car with a Baby on Board sign.......she was doing about 60km in a 40km school zone, and had her arm hanging out the window with a fag. :banghead:

I dont have one and i wouldnt bother wasting my money either as i dont think they make a difference to peoples driving.
I have one but only because it was given to me as a gift.
Like BubbaGanoush said the reason why it was done so was to assist emergency crew should there be an accident and therefore look for the baby.
oh... I've just looked this up on the net and this was actually an urban legend.
See here (http://www.snopes.com/horrors/parental/babysign.htm) for the orgins of the sign.

We have one. Im not sure where it came from though, just popped up on the back windscreen one day im pretty sure DP put it there but i never asked. I also dont think it makes a difference on how people drive cause most people dont notice the sign anyways- and alot of people these days sadly just dont care.
I have one and wouldn't not. We've had a few idiots drive like maniacs but for the most part I've felt safe while driving with DD. Could just be that they are considerate drivers anyway but when the baby on board sign comes down I'll be replacing it with a 'child on board' sign.

Dont want to burst anyones bubbles but the purpose of the baby on board signs is so that (god forbid) you have an accident, police, ambo's etc know to look for a baby. Not to tell other drivers to be careful... coz we all know baby or not that will never happen. :)

I have one which I bought before our DS was born but I don't think that it changes the way people drive - I still get tailgated all the time which since I'm driving a hatchback really freaks me out as they would most certainly hurt bubs if they ran up the back of me.
nope...and dont want one.
..
People should be considerate and safe drivers ALL the time and too EVERYONE.
:yelclap:  Agree 100%
Okay - here's one for you - if you see one on someone else's car, do you change how you drive? I don't. I figure I should drive the same regardless of whether I have my kids with me or whether someone else has their kids with them. I hadn't considered why anyone else had them - just thought it was cos they were proud of their kids (not to say that people who don't have them aren't proud of their kids.)
So no - don't have one and don't intend on having one.
Nope, I dont have one. Dont want one either.
I have one, actually its a beany bear with suction cups and baby on board on its tummy. Its cute and Tom loves it. Don't care what others think, I didn't get is to impress them

I have had one ( ready before ds1 birth) . 2 reasons -and no I don't like yellow!-
-in the event of an accident, I would want them to know straight away there is a baby, so they can tend to him.
-so that if some one started raging for some reason they may actually consider I am carrying a little life. I was road raged when I was pregnant for tootingsome who just slowed to nearly stop in the middle of main road, I gave smalll toot and he chased me trying to get me off the road by smashing into me and chased me for 3 kms. The police did nothing. Ilive in inner city melbourne, and unfortunately have to drive through areas where people think they are actually so important that no one else matters. There are many selfish and hasty drivers who are at breaking point from the pressures of living in the city. I would like to think that they might appreciate why I am driving carefully.
When my brother drives in the city, he has a learning disability and has a tendency to bit a little over cautious, he can be very frustrating to the hurried driver, I put the sticker on his car in the hope they leave him alone. You'd think it's a crime to do the actual speed limit, the way people carry on

nope we dont have one either
I have one. And I have definately noticed people dont sit right up my a$$ any more. I will probably keep it on forever for that reason. My car is blue and I love my car to be all matching cause have spent alot of time doing it up, but at the same time what a tiny bit of yellow if people are gonna drive a little saver behind me :D

I want one. BUt DP absolutely flat out refuses to have on his car.
He said It's bad enough having 2 car seats in it everyday on the way to work

I don't have one, but have often been driving along & someone has cut me off or done something else stupid & I've thought to myself "Bloody idiot! I wonder if they'd have done the same thing if they knew I had a baby in the car?"
Although I then remember that episode of The Simpsons when they flash back to the 80's just after one of the kids was born (Lisa, I think) and Marge rushes in & says "Look what I've just bought!" (holding up a baby on board sign) "Now people will stop intentionally ramming our car!"
It always makes me chuckle!

i dont see why some people dont get one.... nothing to anyone that doesnt have one {so please dont write back being rude} but like sumone said before they are so if u have a crash and the baby seat may have come out of the car or anything like that they no to look for a baby that has maybe rolled under a seat or thrown out on inpacted ITS A SAFTY THING just like a seat belt.... NOT so that other people dont sit up ur bum while driving even no i do hate that....
