I am loving all the names you ladies have chosen!! And the middle names! :bee: Don't feel exposed ladies... who can you share these things with if not us? I did hesitate too but putting it out there really makes it real and so exciting!! Plus I feel comfortable sharing with you lovely ladies :D
I feel like bouncing off the walls now! It's all just so exciting! :D xxx

CG yeah you have to think of all names put together, if they are tooooooo long they never give you enough room on forms, or for your email address :laughing: I don't have a family name to carry on unless I used my first name, as i dont have a middle name, and I wouldn't do that to the poor kid as even I don't like my name lol, but both my niece and nephew have my sister and her fiance's names as their middle names.
Yeah I was pretty pooped last night lol, but my feet were KILLING me lol. I sat down as soon as I got home, next time I went to get up I could hardly walk lol. But it was worth it, I saw many woman who looked ready to pop, I don't know how they did it! One woman was in one of those motorised scooters, that's the way to go lol
Thanks Bella, glad my girls agree with ME lolol. I see Cameron and Drew as boys names too, they are girls with boys names and not the norm, not vice versa!! Ah well, don't think I will win this battle but we will see how willing to compromise DH is as to how hard i fight lol I LOVE your names Bella, they are just gorgeous, I work with an Adelaide and she gets Addie, but I prob wouldn't shorten Clementime to Clemmy, sounds like clammy:D lol I like Clementine as a whole name, its just so beautiful. Promise we won't tell DH you shared ;) And bella, if you can't share your belly shots here where can you share them? I am sure you look very much pregnant, its funny how we see ourselves in front of the mirror when we know all our faults and good bits, and the difference that other people see! It only took seeing the pick of my belly yesterday to go 'oh yes, I am actually pregnant, that actually does look like a baby in there' lol So come on, let yourself go, inhibitions aside and get that camera clicking lol:D
Naards it does feel sooo much more real (does that even read right???) when you start putting names out there, and real names, not just our little nicknames! Its soooo exciting I can't wait until we have something more concrete in place, I am so jealous of all you girls being so organised!! If I start talking about it DH will just shush me because 'I am trying to watch this', like he did yesterday, or change the subject. Brick wall where are you? Oh well if he doesn't show more interest in it then I will be making the final decision and he can just deal with it!!!

Kyster - Love Addison its such a pretty name I think all you girls that have dh's deployed or away are just amazing I'm not sure how I would cope
CG - YAY for your 20 week scan it is so exciting seeing them again I hope squishy is a little more cooperative than 'Hermie' was lazy little bugger
Cazz - Haha I loooove baby shopping with DH he becomes so overwhelmed with all the options but then he comes home and researches EVERYTHING until he thinks he has made the right decision 'Product review' has become his favorite website Oh and your belly pic is just beautiful
Naards - LOOOOOVE your belly photo you look gorgeous and Harry and Max are fantastic names they sound very mischievous
Gillie - Berts bump is beautiful I'm really going to have to pull my finger out and get a bump piccy up too!!
Bella - Your names are gorgeous and I promise I wont tell anyone :p
AFM - well seeing as everyone else is sharing bubba names I think its time I put mine out there for scrutiny :D DH is South American so we wanted to go for traditional Spanish names for a girl we like Inez (pronounced e-nez) and for a boy we are thinking Cisco WOW definitely feels real now that the names are out there

Hi Meg! Nice to "see" you :)
Great names, I love them. It's nice to be able to bring some of your family heritage through.
I LOVE product review.....it helped us buy the car and pram and lots of other things come to think of it
So, I bought an epi-no the other day. Too scared to get it out of the box yet but thought it would be worth a try to prevent tearing or an episiotomy. I know it's early but I am a real planner. Anyone else considering?
What about a breast pump?

Hey Gals
All your names are cool adelaide is beautiful for a girl

I took the cot and change table didnt get a good inspection of the cot but if its unsafe ( doesnt look it)
I wont use it , but the change table is fine.

CG - Ive been researching breast pumps too I think I definitely want one as DH is taking 2 months paternity leave so I figure we can take it in turns for the night time feeds if I express and it will come in handy if I want to go somewhere and leave bubs with mum or mil
I haven't heard of the epi-no sounds very intriguing :confused:Due to a few medical issues we are having an elective cesarean so I suppose Ill be tearing in other places whether I like it or not :o

I'll post a picture at 20 weeks, just like CG, I promise!
Does anyone else find that they even when they are hungry, nothing seems to be palatable? I am hungry and want dinner, but I don't know what I feel like eating!! The thought of food makes me go ugh. Actually I do know what I feel like, I feel like SUSHI! or SMOKED SALMON EGGS BENEDICT! or CHICKEN CAMEMBERT!! Sigh. Only five months to go :o

ooooooooooooooooh new thread!!
Bella yep I understand completely!! I too have been craving sushi!! Not good! Particularly the spicy tempura salmon from sushi sushi... argh I could have that now!! he he I always seem to go to spag bol when I don't know what else to have, so that's pretty much all the time! he he
My DH asks me all the time what I feel like and I just don't have an answer.. frustrating!
OK so I just googled the epi-no and I'm scared!!!
I will definitely be hiring a breast pump though... will need it with twins, that way DH can help too. He wants to take a day off a week to give me a rest so the breast pump will be compulsory me thinks!
Hmmm and speaking of dinner... argh!
mincazz79
05-04-2010, 19:41
Yeah I never know want I wanna eat , makes shopping frustrating so much food goes to waste , Bumblebee is pretty much off meat and only eats white bread any other breads make me :barf:
Tonight we are having vegie nuggets and sweet and sour vegies. He likes hungry jacks vegie burger yesterday , so i got one , no chips no coke just vegie burger he was most satisfied with this.
Yeah def breast pump naards otherwise how can you do it , I will get a cowmilker also:yes:
Still trying to figure out strollers have narrowed it down to mountain buggy i think. I like the steelcraft strider but its very wide I also want a lightish weight one .
gilliebean1
05-04-2010, 20:57
Yeah I often dont' know what I want to eat, I will be peckish but not crave anything. I wish I would get cravings it would help at least lol. We bought some meat pies at the Easter show yesterday so had one for dinner tonight, they are yum! Mum also made me a swiss roll today so um most of that has gone too...whoopsie! Thankfully I don't eat any seafood so I dont miss that, although DH did crack open the camembert today when mum and dad came over.... :(
CG def thinking about the epi-no - my OB gave me the paperwork at my first appt, but I have only read it, haven't gone any further about getting one, coz I have been a bit so so, not really knowing too much about it. Do you mind if I ask if it was expensive? I am thinking its worth a go, although not something I will be sharing with others lol Will also prob go the breast pump but not sure if we will buy one now or just see how we go once I get started. But it would be good to get DH involved and would prefer that with boobie juice instead of formula if I can manage it (not that there is anything wrong with formula of course!).
Meg I love your names, particularly Inez, that's gorgeous.
Cazz funny story about DH and DD's book, poor DD  Is it for school or is she just writing for her own interest? That's lovely, hope she gets a lot of pleasure out of it. I think i will have to set DH a task of sitting down and writing his own list while he is at home and in the midst of boredom :D so that we will have something to work with lol Still roughly another 3 weeks off for him!

Dd is writing the book got her own pleasure she really enjoys writing books. I have read some of the story and it's actually good.

Epi-no - $179 from the manufacturers website (so you know it genuine and BRAND NEW). Quick delivery. Hopefully, worth every cent!
Wow lots happening in here of late!
CG – I was thinking of getting an epi-no too, doesn’t hurt to be prepared! Well as prepared as we can be ! I have a breast pump, it’s the avent brand. I think it will be great for DH to feed bubby too.
I will do proper personals today, gotta eat first! I’m loving all the names everyone has picked! I would share ours but at the moment we don’t have any picked out :o! Better get cracking on it!

Morning!! On the phone this morning so it may be hard to understand. At work and I am here by myself all day so we will see how I go. Raining constantly as well so hat could go either way with customers. They either want to stay in or they want to do something so they shop!! Lol
Well I need some advice.... I called my mgr say I was bringing my resignation forward. She cut me off and said " so u are quitting" I then told her that I have already quit (month or so ago) I am just bringing the finish date forward . She bluntly told me she could not talk as she is busy and hung up. Ten minutes later the regional mgr called me asking what they have done. I said nothing at all it is all me. I am looking after me. Etc etc. She has asked me if I can cover the mgr's holidays nxt week. She told me to think about it and she will call today to get my answer.
I know it is the right thingto do but??? May seem silly but DH and I go separate ways soon and we have to pack the house etc spending time with him is more important right now (so are my feet and not getting up on ladders anymore!!!!)
Don't really know what answer I am going to give.

Just quickly, :iagree:Fruik them all!!!! You have more important things to worry about at the moment, sounds like your mgr was ****ty because you bringing your departure date forward would disrupt her plans!! Whatever you decide, you have to do what's best for YOU and you only (ok and maybe DH :D). But don't do it out of obligation! Would they be as loyal to you?
That's just my 2 cents worth lol

Kiz - your too nice but at least you didn't agree to the whole week :yelclap: I agree with the others you and bubs and your poor feet are the most important things at the moment
I am with you all on the cant figure out what I want to eat thing OMG dh is going crazy every night because I cant decide what I feel like for dinner and I'm also craving sushi I really really really want the raw salmon sushi I'm missing that way more than my glass of champas after work which is hard to believe cause according to dh I'm a booze hound usually :o

06-04-2010, 17:20
I'm also craving sushi I really really really want the raw salmon sushi
SAME.............................so badly want to eat a dozen of them. DH has "orders" to get me some as soon as bubba comes out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:hair:
Mac - good compromise.....not long now :yelclap:
gilliebean1
06-04-2010, 21:06
Good compromise Kiz, and bloody good on you for doing such a sterling job in 2 hours!!!!!! Hope you make that known :yelclap:
Meg and CG I will pass on the sushi, but bring on the champers lol. My mum has, um, 'stocked up' for when Bert arrives - we both don't mind a drop of Janz bubbles from Tassie, quite a nice drop and apparently it was on sale at Dan Murphy's the other day for quite a good price if you bought a case or something equally insane!!! So she did :laughing:Onya mum!
I think hospitals should not bother having a cafe, but should have sushi trains for the new mums :D
ASillyMummy
06-04-2010, 21:36
Girls, what you need to do is make up a list that will become your 'hospital hamper' after bub arrives! I have done this, and started sourcing items DH might have trouble locating. I am particularly missing eggs benedict (with smoked salmon... ohhh runny poached eggs, smoked salmon... ohh *drool*.. ) so I have tracked down the closest cafe to the hospital that makes a good version of this breakfast and confirmed that they DO TAKE-AWAYS!! YES!
So my hospital hamper list :chef: currently includes:
- Ice Break (I am addicted to the stuff, and haven't indulged my ice-cold caffeine addiction since I started this IVF cycle in mid-November :( )
- Eggs benedict with smoked salmon
- Triple cream Brie (King Island brand) with water crackers
- Salmon pate (also with water crackers)
- Sushi selection - tempura prawn, chicken and avocado, smoked salmon, and 'egg boat' versions (luckily my hospital is located in what is possibly Australia's most Asian suburb! There is no shortage of high quality sushi places within a very short walk)
This list is still under construction, but whenever I desperately want something I can't have, I go and add it to my hospital hamper list and take solace in the fact that I can be enjoying my new baby AND my beloved favourite foods at the same time in just a few short months time!

Bella LOVE the idea of the hospital hamper I am definitely going to construct a list for Dh now and raw salmon sushi is going to be very TOP of the list from my favorite little man just down the road from our house! Ill let DH know that my room fridge needs to be extremely well stocked with all of these items for the duration of my stay :p
Gillie I cleaned out my cupboards on the weekend and found 2 bottles of Verve Cliquot I had obviously hidden from myself so they will definitely be resurfacing after 'Hermie' arrives
gilliebean1
07-04-2010, 14:11
Bella awesome idea!!!!! I am with you on the King Island Dairy Triple Cream Brie - DH bought one the other day "just in case" we had people over during the long weekend and needed snacks, and its sitting in the fridge mocking me every time I open the door!!!! JUST EAT THE FREAKING THING DH, FOR GOD SAKE
Cazz love love love Logan, Xavier, Ashton and Jeremy, although not sure about the raven and griffin, or scooby for that matter lolol Not feeling too much pain there at the moment Cazz, the pain I do feel is more like my stomach being in my chest cavity and feeling every mouthful of food I swallow lol. BB is probably just making himself very comfy in there and pushing everything north!!
Kyster I really like the name Campbell, and I wanted to put that on the list but I have since mentioned it to DH and he isn't a fan - boo - he wants something a bit scottish as we are a Mc surname and he is a bit of a scots nerd, and I think Campbell is lovely. so glad that your BFF will be with you for your classes and thank god he will be home not long after!!! Addyson Elaina is such a pretty name!
:laughing:Meg isn't it funny what you find when you least expect it - woo hoo for the Verve lol That's a great find!
We still haven't gotten any further with names!
Our parenting class things are on over 3 Saturdays in May - 9am till 1.30 or something I think, I am scared s**tless lol. Not because of any of the content, but I can just see me and DH (ok so maybe just me!) sitting in class and giggling like a little schoolgirl because its all so unreal and bizarre that this is actually happening lol! I think I might end up being sent to the naughty corner for some quiet time :D!
Have to say I am very proud of my DH! He has been such a good boy the last 2 days, and has hit cleaning out the 3rd bedroom with a vengance. It is mostly full of his crap anyway but my god, the amount of stuff that's being thrown out???? He has old videos from light years ago, old clothes, and just crap crap crap. One of our conversations went like this:
DH: I have thrown out a whole box of old videos.
ME: Oh well don't throw them out, maybe we can give them to a charity shop so at least they can get some money for them.
DH: Nah, they are so old and worn, I tried a few of them a few years ago and they were all static and crap.
ME (in my head of course): THEN WHY THE HELL DO WE STILL HAVE THEM SITTING IN OUR HOUSE??????:laughing:
One word: Hoarder!! God love him, at least its a good reason to chuck out all the crap we still have (and I am guilty of that too!). No excuses now! My dad is going to help DH pick up the furniture from the baby shop and Dad wants to do it over the next week or so (um ok dad thanks!)! Dad works about a 3 min drive from where we live so its very handy.
Anyway that's my blah blah for the day - can you tell I am sooo not interested in work??
xoxo

Hey !!
On iPhone again .. At work but like u Gillie soooooo not interested!! Lol
Logan, Xavier, Ashton are lovely names. I have a good friend who loved the name Ashton but saw Aston instead and suits him so well. Her daughter is Hazel.
Kyster I love Campbell and Addyson flows very nice with it!
Bella I love ur idea too of the hospital hamper.... Brie Camembert soft serve and champers yummmmmm!!! The other day I was craving beer!! Lol
Gillie we have a Mc surname too hence the Mrs Mac. But no a. I had to laugh at your DH video story as this is what I do. I am the worst hoarder and my DH is complete opposite! He throws things out all the time and then I need them a few weeks later. Lol
I know what u mean about parenting classes and not feeling real. Still doesn't feel real to us yet either. Hope it starts too soon though.
Hi to everyone!!
gilliebean1 Campbell is a scottish name lol
gilliebean1
07-04-2010, 19:02
Oh yeah Ky, sorry that's why I wanted it on the list, coz its scottish, sorry I didn't type that very well did I lol! Was on a hot chip & bbq sauce high at lunch lol:D Oh, and apparently the Mc's he comes from and the Campbells were enemies way back when apparently, and in doing some family research on my mum's side we go back to the Campbells apparently  so maybe I am not meant to like him lol
Kiz – Yay for getting your pram! Only a few days of work left, I bet you are looking forward to being a lady of leisure, lol! Craving beer  you crack me up!
Gillie – In our house it is the other way around, I am the hoarder and DH is the clean freak, lol! I must admit though, I really want to have a big clean out before bubby is here. Oh hot chips, now I want some!
I must be the odd one out ! I don’t like sushi, salmon or funky cheeses and I don’t drink wine :o! I will however, be looking forward to having a feast of prawns and seafood, I also want my fried eggs with runny yokes , YUM!
WOO HOO 24 weeks today :smiliedance:!
Musk I'm with you I don't like any of that stuff I'm a seafood girl through and through I love my prawns the most eat them at least twice a week
I bought a Valco Q rebel x pram my DH picked that one out I find my DS pushing it around the house all the time lol
We also got the safe and sound meridian AHR tilt & Adjust car seat can't wait to use it all:smiliedance:

Kiz . good news about pram , not long now before you finish work
Yes Logan Xavier james is def the name I wanna give the bumblebee , I saw a sign yesterday and I was like yes yes that’s the name.Dh has agreed but knowing him he will brainstorm and think more and more about it , But my heart is set on Logan.
Even after I read him his story last night , I said goodnight Logan,
Yes umm I don’t like sushi , wine , soft cheeses or shellfish HAHA
So I guess I will just eat bacon.
I am soo happy that tomorrow is Friday I feel like someone ran over me with a truck..
.
Gillie , perhaps no campbell if your family had a feud with the campbell’s , Haha Dh giggling like school girl would be funny to watch.hehe maybe it was one of those things he was gonna get around to doing , Oh I will chuck those out tomorrow …. Years later
Antenatal clinic went well my blood pressure is prefect and I only put on 2 kilos in the last 3 weeks , Doc said that is well in line with what should happen. I have to have another scan at 36 weeks , but 20 week scan showed healthy baby and well pos placenta.

Great news Caz. Love the name too! You are all set now :yelclap:
Thanks for the suggestion on a "Hospital Hamper" list. I have started. Can't wait.
Both of us like to throw stuff out, but me, more than DH. If he puts something down and it's not where it should be - most of the time I throw it out!!! Not when I know it's important but DH just rolls his eyes.
Mac - I have been wanting a good cold beer too!
We've also booked in to the parenting classes at the hospital. 8:30 - 5pm Saturday AND Sunday. OMG - how many birth videos are they going to show us. DH is freaked out.
No other news here other than...TFIF!!!! This week has dragged on and on and on.
CG x
Hi Girls!
Cazz, awesome news honey!! Glad to hear everything is going so well. and yep I love your name choice too... it's funny how stuck you get on it when you've decided.
God I'm with you ladies, a hamper sounds bloody awesome! Mine will have wine (a good NZ Sav Blanc or Pinot Gris), triple cream brie (yep the king island one is my fave too!!! but with bagel crisps) and sushi. I could take or leave seafood personally so I'm not missing it that much. Ooooh yeah I'm picturing it right now!!! Mmmmm
Antenatal classes just makes it seem more real huh! Ours start on Tuesday 4th May for three weeks.. I'm excited but scared at the same time. I've also just joined the Multiple Birth Association so I'm going to drag DH to the Antenatal classes they offer... just to get a better perspective of what to expect with twins.
Kiz, great news on only having a few days left! How exciting!! I'm counting down the days til 30 weeks!
My DH and I are just as bad as each other with hoarding.. good thing he's gone into nesting mode because he's actually cleaning out the clutter... nice!!
*warning big sook coming* So I told you ladies that my Mum is holding me a baby shower up in QLD in May? Well it turns out that I am now sharing it with my sister's sister in law. Now don't get me wrong, I love my sister's sister in law she's awesome and we get along fantastically but I'm just so upset that this was supposed to be about me. It took me a bloody long time to get here and I wanted to share this with my family (and of course with her... as a guest) and I think it kinda takes it away from me... I wanted to feel special because I have never done this before (this is her second baby) and will never again and it is the most important thing I've done in my life! Am I being selfish wanting this to be about me?? Should I just get over myself?? I dunno, I'm just so upset about it.... I'm not often selfish, but do I have the right to be now? Thanks for listening (reading) girls.. I feel a little better getting it out there...
I hope everyone is well xx

08-04-2010, 20:05
NAARDS!!! OMG you are ABSOLUTELY justified in being pi**ed off about sharing your shower with someone!!! I'd be fuming!!! You're not the selfish one, who on earth has a shower for their second child??? I'd be embarrassed!! Traditionally they are for new mothers, you don't get one for every baby, only the first baby! Otherwise it just looks greedy! Sorry for all the exclamation marks, but I am truly appalled for you! I'd be calling your mum up, and putting your case forward. You have worked so hard for this and waited so long, and like you said, this is it for you! You ABSOLUTELY should have your very own shower that is all about YOU!!! Fight this one Naards!! Make sure your mum knows you are upset about this and how its made you feel to get this far and then have to share. If you are going to share a baby shower, it should be YOUR idea, not a decision someone else makes for you! Put your foot down Naards! have a tanty and a cry and wield those pregnancy hormones to maximum effect. Don't give in! Your baby shower is YOUR SPECIAL DAY! i AM SO SO SO UPSET ABOUT THIS FOR YOU! :hair:
Thanks Bella, it was actually my sister who made the decision... I don't feel badly towards her though because I know she just wanted to do the right thing by her sister in law and probably didn't think that I'd be upset... although I would have liked to be consulted. I just feel really ripped off... I will have my baby shower down here with all my friends which will be awesome but it's not the same as with my Mum and my sister... does that make sense?
Thanks for making me feel less like a 'it's all about me' diva... he he

Hi
umm ok thanks cg and naards I like
name !!
Bella bumblebee is my second child and my friends want me to have a shower, I don't know about the whole selfish thing . Did the sis inlaw get to have a shower? Cos I
know I didn't. Naards it's your special time and there is nothing wrong with you wanting a special shower all to yourself! Can u perhaps chat to ur mum and mention nicely of course that you were really hoping to have the twins shower alone? I
hope it all works out for you;) good that dh has gone into nesting mode same with my dh
ASillyMummy
08-04-2010, 20:23
Oh Min, I'm sorry I didn't mean to offend you. I think its different if your first child was years ago, its like you're starting again almost. In your case, I think a shower is perfectly justified. I'm talking about people who have a baby and a shower, then a year or two later have second bub and have s second shower. You kinda think "ummm again?". Also I have only ever been to first baby baby showers, so I assumed it was generally a first baby thing. But you're also right in that is depends if they got to have a shower first time around. It's a good point and definitely makes a difference. She may have never had one either. I guess I was just so upset for Naards having to share and it making her down that I said some things that were probably a bit unfair to other bub-hubbers in retrospect, I'm really sorry if my rant offended you :hugs:
Oh no I don't have an issue with her wanting to have a second shower.. not at all. I guess what I meant was that she had the opportunity to have the 'it's all about me' moment with her first baby and I haven't. I don't feel badly towards her either... she's certainly had her fair share of trouble with IVF and conceiving too so no I don't begrudge her that and I'm over the moon for her that she's having the second child she may not ever have had. The main issue here is I purely just don't want to share... I want it to be all about me... :hissy: :crying: yep I'm having a tanty...

Nah bella sweety u didn't , I just was wondering wat the ladies situation was;)
And yes naards it should def be your thing I agree ;) it's a hard one but try and talk to your mum, funny thing is girls even though my friends want me to have one , I just don't know;) nice thought but ... I didn't have alot when I had dd u don't want her to think look you did all this stuff and nothing with me, even though she encourAges it! O remember when I was younger and how I felt!! We would like her to
be involved as much as possible;)
naards could you do a a shower for you And then one for her the next day or a lunch for you and dinner for her? I don't
know ;)

Naards, i think you are totally justified in being annoyed at having to share your special day. Its not at all selfish or diva like to want to have something that's just about you and the bubbas - this is huge for you and DH. Particularly when this is the one organised by your family. I can assure you that if it was me I wouldn't be happy if i had to have a joint party! Is there any reason why she can't have her own separate baby shower? If its about guests having to double up on attendances, so to speak, I really don't think anyone would be terribly bothered - well I know I wouldn't - I would be chuffed to get to go to 2 showers, even if they were close in time! Without wanting to offend, I think its a bit insensitive of your sister to just assume its ok to have a joint shower, without discussing it with you first!! I think you should definitely say something about it.
Musk - yay for 24 weeks :smiliedance:
Cazz I love the name, I think if DH shows any signs of a change of mind just tell him that the baby has already told you that's the name he wants :D. Secret mummies business and all that lol Glad to hear everything is going well after your appt.
Oh cazz I am sure DD wouldn't feel bad if you had a shower for this baby, I am sure your circumstances were totally different back then and I am sure she would understand. Maybe you could just have a general party and celebrate 'her' as well, in some way?? Dunno, don't want to speak out of turn. I can understand you wanting to include her in all of this, you two seem to have such an amazing relationship, she will be the best big sister, bumblebee is one lucky little baby!
CG I agree - TFIF!! I was sooo looking forward to a sleep in on Sat but furbaby is booked into the beauty parlour :p so we have to drop her off around 930am, about 1/2 hour away from us lol. Never mind, there is always Sunday! When are your classes starting, can't wait till we can all chat about the interesting things we learn  Think I might be crossing my legs quite a bit afterwards lol!
I can just picture us all sitting in our hospital beds stuffing our faces with all our desired foods
AFM DH and my dad picked up our layby today, and DH has set up the cot and change table all ready for Bert! Still have to finish cleaning out the room but its up anyway, which is good! Even the pram is set up lol. Am sooooo excited!! Took Bert upstairs to show him - he was impressed lol :D
Am feeling reallly stretched today, when I breathe in I feel like I am going to pop - LOVE IT!!

Gillie that is such a great idea I will celebrate then both! Wow change table cot and pram how excited I bet Bert was impressed. Yes told dh that when Logan kicked after I said his name that was it! I even picked the cat up walked into his room and said this is logans room! Yes I agree 2 sep baby showers that's your special time with ur mum and sis time to cherish;)
yeah Bella I agree I think
usually
woman only have one shower me thinks. I don't know I have never been to
one hehe
yay musk for 14 weeks , k never went to
antenatal classes due to a few reasons so this will be our first , I hope dh doesn't pass put with birth seems. Bella your scan would be coming up soon how exciting!! Can't wait to hear all about it;)

Oh yeah dh is sick , my
nose won't stop running ! Thank
goodness it's Friday tomorrow
and the more I think of Campbell the cuter it seems !!!
mincazz79 it is very cute and my son is such a great kid never given us any drama what so ever touch wood lol when he was little my cousin bought a little black leather jacket it had a little bear on it so we all started to call him camby bear not now of course he gives me dirty looks when I call him that lol
you can go to my web site to see a range of photos from my belly to my fam and baby furniture plus house I cant work out to download so this will have to do xoxox
http://www.dropshots.com/downunder
Kyster – We’ll have to hit the seafood shops together and pig out once our bubs are born ! I think that is so cute that your DS is pushing the pram around the house. LOVE the belly shots, you look amazing! We have the Snug as a Bug range too, it’s gorgeous!
Cazz – I love the name you have picked for bubs. I’m sure that DD wouldn’t be upset that you’re having a baby shower for this bubba. Maybe she could help you organize it and even invite everyone, like she is throwing the shower for you.
CG – I chuckle to myself about those birth videos! Our midwife said that DH’s can leave the room if they don’t want to watch them. When we got home DH said to me ‘how obvious and embarrassing would it be if I got up and left the room and no-one else did’!
Naards – Great idea about the antenatal classes for multiple bubs. I don’t think you are being selfish about the baby shower, you have every right to be upset. This is a special time for you and you want to share it with your mum and sister and have a day all about you and your twinnies. You have worked very hard to get to where you are today and the least anyone else can do is throw you your very own baby shower! Don’t back down hun, throw yourself on the floor (gently, lol), kick and scream till you get that baby shower all to yourself! You deserve it!
Gillie – I agree, I think we are going to learn a lot of interesting things at these antenatal classes, whether we want to or not, lol. WOO HOO for getting the cot and change table set up ready for Bert! I’m sure he was very impressed, lol!
AFM - Not much happening here, I can feel bubby getting bigger and has been a lot more active of late. I leant back in my seat at work this morning and sat a calculator on my belly and bubby kicked at it, it didn’t fall off but it was so funny seeing it move :D! I am so glad that it’s Friday, I finish at 2pm today so I can’t wait to go home!
I hope all is well with everyone and we all have a great weekend!

Sorry ladies in advance this is an all about me post
Well I have had a very eventful 24 hours.....
yesterday morning I started getting contractions about 10 mins apart I rang my maternity ward and was told to come straight in they gave me medication to stop the labour and steroid injections to speed up 'Hermies' lung development just in case he makes an early entry and kept me overnight for monitoring it all seems to have calmed down for the time being so I have been released but told to come straight back if they start again
Wow what a scare I have come straight home to pack my hospital bag cause god love DH (he tried) I sent him home to get me my pjs, underwear toiletries etc.... and I got a lovely little negligee to sleep in and some skimpy underwear that was impossible to put the huge maternity pads onto :o I also asked for a face washer and hand towel I got a dish cloth and tea towel  So this afternoon I'm packing my bag ready to go and leaving it in the nursery.
On a brighter side it was nice to get a taste of what my hospital was like I definitely made the right choice the room was lovely the mid wives were amazing and even the food was good (although Ill still be insisting on my hospital hamper)
24 weeks today :fingerscrossed: 'Hermie' stays in for at least another 14 weeks

Hope everything is ok Meg. What a scare. I agree, get cracking on that hospital bag. Gosh, if that happened to me I would be in a bad way as we don’t have any of our nursery furniture or anything like that yet, only clothes at this stage :o! I hope that Hermie has finished giving mummy a scare and starts to behave from now on! I had to laugh when I read what DH had packed for you , God love em! Stay safe my dear!

Looking forward to our 20w scan on Monday and hoping I don't see anything that could give away Squishy's gender.
Have a nice weekend ladies. Chat more on Sunday!

Musk- i know!! 3 working days left!! woo hoo
Missed anyone?? I am sorry!
I need some advice ladies...
The other day when DH was talking to his kids, they asked if the baby had been born... DH replied "no not yet" then there was silent and then his 6yr old asked "When is it due?"
Now that is not terminology a 6yr old would know to ask, so DH assumed it was his ex prying again and said it is due "LATER".
Then today his 7 year old has requested to be our friend on FB... now if his DD was 12/13 I would be more inclined to be ok with it. (not 100% but still ok)
What do we do?
Accept her not knowing it is her on the other end of the page? It could quite possibly be his ex just getting information and photos etc (we dont get any from her!!) as DH does not talk to her AT all unless about the kids.
or
Not accept and risk the whole "Daddy does not want to be your friend" routine if it is his DD.
So confused... plus she has changed DSD's birthday to state she is 14 years old because in the rules you need to be 13. I really wish DH would just grow some you know whats sometimes and just call and talk to his ex about these things... GRRRRR!!!
Any ideas??
:(
mincazz79
10-04-2010, 22:08
Kiz , I have asked my dd about that and she has said that 7 year olds should not have facebook , by them being so young it makes them vunerable and facebook exposes them to alot of things they should not be exposed to yet , I agree
Even with dd being 13 there is still alot that happens that is inappropriate , I dont think it makes him a bad daddy at all , in fact he is just protecting the safety of his family, children and unborn child. Yes the question could be does the ex want info , but it could also be why is it right for such a young child to be on a social networking sight ? Sexual predators can gain info to such a young child , especially when the profile is not protected , any group the child joins will then have all info and pictures of child.
It is extremly dangerous , even though my dd has facebook i police it constantly not because i dont trust her but because i dont trst others. A 7 year old does not know not to accept friends( stangers) to their profile DANGEROUS!!!
also your dh and your info is private , it is none of anyone elses business unless you choose to share.
FruitBowl
10-04-2010, 22:27
Thanks Cazz.. You have confirmed our concerns so we reported the profile.
Perhaps not the right way to go about it but hopefully it will be deleted. We looked into it on the terms and conditions page and there was a link to report under age users.
It may show it was us that reported it but DH does not care. He does not want his DD to have a FB at that age and I completely agree. We have not accepted her request and it is still pending.
Another thing that DH thought was strange that his DS does not have one. He is not much younger than DD but there would have been fights if she was on the computer and he was not. They always do things the same. So where is his page? (Not that we would approve of that either) But just made us think IYKWIM?
His ex's older DD (10) also has a FB but DH's has no say in that matter.
I just worry about them sooo much and if it is the ex prying than why not straight out talk to DH about things instead of going through the kids?
mincazz79
10-04-2010, 22:51
I dont know Kiz , Ex's are weird people , I blocked mine from being able to view my page and anything else about me ( like if I comment about my dd's page. Yeah it seems weird one and not the other. It could have been a ploy to get you to give over info. Glad you reported it , way way to young:):)
Dont worry about ex now , no matter what she cant get info if you guys dont want her to know:yes:
FruitBowl
10-04-2010, 23:18
Yeah we blocked the ex and all that are close to her too ages ago!
they are weird people! Thank you for your advice and listening!!
xxxx better go to bed!! Just can't sleep!!
gilliebean1
11-04-2010, 10:57
Oh Kiz...I don't have kids of course but even I think that is way way too young to have FB. Would a 7yr old even know that much about it? I don't think DH's nieces would even know what FB is (they are 7 and 9), and if they did because they have seen DH's sister using it, they wouldn't know exactly what its all about. I would never let my child have FB at that age. I would definitely be suspicious about it being the ex. And if it does turn out it was DD and she cracks it about dad not accepting her request, then he can talk to her about it and explain his reasons behind it which is totally fine. I think you guys have 100% done the right thing. If she is adamant about getting info about you, then let her try, but she is only going to dig a bigger hole for herself as she goes along, its just a shame that the little ones get dragged into it as well!
Cazz - I agree, its not necessarily DD you don't trust, its everyone else out there! I think there does come a time when you have to give a little bit so that they learn and can gain that trust, but with FB its so hard to control because there are so many freaks in the world, that you have to police it. Good on you. Cazz that's so gorgeous about DH's sign, then is a goer now isn't it;), little baby Logan! Love it!
Kyster - love love love the pics, your DS is a bit of a spunk I have to say :D House looks awesome, you must be soo excited about getting it all finished! And its so nice putting a face to a name, so to speak lol! That sucks about your back, big time!! Hope they can do something to ease the pain for you, can imagine nothing worse! You must be very very 'annoyed', to put it nicely lol
CG woo hoo for scan tomorrow - can't wait to hear all about it!! How was the fancy dress party?
Ahh bella i hate modern technology some days!! OUr laptop has a mind of its own too and I end up pressing some button and go back 3 pages - thankfully I can go back forward again and don't lose my post, but its soo frustrating!!
Love the pics peachy!!
Oh Meg, how stressful for you and hermie. Glad the hospital was good, but you are not allowed to go back there for at least another 14 weeks ok, now listen to us girls Hermie, you just stay put! I hope you are feeling ok, you must have been terrified.
Sorry if I have missed anyone
AFM we had a busy day yesterday, furbaby went to the beauty parlour in the morning :D so we spent a few hours shopping, bought Bert some clothes and a present for DH's goddaughter's 2nd birthday - 4 items of clothes from Target for $46 or something - bargain!!! We also put our bassinet and high chair on layby and bought some sheets etc for the cot as the sales are still on and mum and dad are buying the high chair for us - wasnt sure if we were going to get a bassinet or just move the cot into the bedroom but realistically, it aint gunna fit lol. Bassinet it is! Will be good though because at least I can move it downstairs for during the day if I need to. Bert is getting really active now - particularly after a dinner of Wizz Fizz and smarties from my showbags  Cheeky little man lol Think it will be an easy day today, not much planned at all.
mincazz79
11-04-2010, 14:03
Kiz , yeah def sounds a plan , def blocking the ex!!
gillie , Yes now dh says stuff like does logan feel like ?? hehe
smarties and wizz fizz yummo!!
Yeah we are the same , we only have room for bassinett or moses basket that is even after
putting my chest drawers in the cupboard. great news about mum and dad buying the highchair.
Yes I feel logan more and more each day , dd says that she can only feel it lightly , but i have let her know
that in a few weeks she should really love it
I accidently flipped to abckids yesterday and there was this show on called timmy time , where the animals dont talk they make
sounds and logan loved it loads , he was doing flips and summersaults in there.Pretty funny
:)
Hi lovely ladies!
Holy moly Meg, are you OK now honey? That must have been a shock... you take care of yourself, we need Hermie to stay in there for alot longer!!
CG, can't wait to hear about your scan tomorrow! How exciting!!!
Kys, sciatica is just horrible!! Are you going to see an osteo or something? I couldn't recommend it more.. mine feels so much better as long as I'm having regular visits to my osteo.
Cazz, how gorgeous DH making a sign for Logan... wow i bet it seems more real now!! Cute!! We wanna see photos when it's finished!
Yeah Bella my laptop has a key that when I accidently press it it wipes half my post... sad thing is I don't actually know what key/combination of keys does it!! he he
Peachy, gorgeous pics honey!!
Kiz you have definitely done the right thing about FB. It is ridiculous to let a 7 year old join a social networking site like that! There are other ways to keep in touch... there is one specially for younger kids, can't remember what it's called though...is it bebo??
Thanks girls for all your support about the baby shower, I am feeling much much better about it. I think I was just being a little sooky and hormonal... I know it's going to be awesome no matter what! And I'm just honored that my Mum is doing this for me.
I also found out yesterday that I have bursitis in my hips. No wonder I'm in pain! Apparently it was probably caused by my tummy expanding so quickly and my hips counteracting it... unfortunately there is nothing I can do other than ice and rest. It will all be worth it in the end!!
Well this weekend has been quite a busy one. It was my birthday yesterday so was quite busy with a lunch at Poachers Pantry and then drinks (soft drink for me... although I did have one small glass of champers at lunch) and then dinner at a friends. Then went out to Adore Tea for vanilla tea and mortal sin this morning... talk about heaven! It's been such a great weekend, I am very blessed to have such great family and friends! Got some lovely pressies, and my DH got me a baked cheesecake as my birthday cake even though he hates cheesecake... god bless him!!! I have most of it left in my fridge.. I'm having visions of me sitting on the couch with the box and a spoon later... Also DH wrote in my card that this is the last birthday before I'm a Mummy... made me cry, so beautiful!!
I hope you girls had a wonderful weekend!! xxx

yes next bday you will be a mama!! How exciting.Hmm cheesecaken yummo
Meg . Hoping everything is still ok
Hello to everyone else
Afm I am still sick , I took the day off today to try and recover, It was
freezing last night!! Brrr
CG – How was your fancy dress party? I bet you had a great time. Not much happening here, still plodding along, lol! Woo hoo for seeing Squishy today, good luck with your scan.
Kyster – Sorry to hear about your back and leg pain, that really sucks, hope you feel better soon.
Kiz – How did you go with the FB issue, I hope DH got it sorted out.
Gillie – We are borrowing a bassinette from my SIL and I think they are great. So easy to move around the house with you and they don’t take up much room. I so can’t wait to use it :)!
Naards - happybirthday Sounds like you had a great weekend! How sweet of DH to write that on your card! I can just see you sitting up on the lounge with the cheesecake box resting on your bump !
Cazz - I hope you feel better after a nice relaxing day at home, now that is an order, lol!
I have a question for you girls. How the bl00dy hell did you pick your pram? I have done a lot of research on prams and have a few stipulations on what I want. I think I have narrowed it down to about 4 prams but I want to be able to fondle them all and test drive around the shops before I commit to anything. I won’t be buying one till about June cause the warranty on them start from the purchase date, so I have a bit of time up my sleeve but I just want to be organized and have one picked out. Please let me in on your pram purchasing secrets :detective:! I have been thinking about prams so much that I am now dreaming about the little suckers !
mincazz79
12-04-2010, 10:39
Umm well musk I wanted a jogging one , so i looked at alot of them , the conclusion i came to was jogging prams were to wide , Like the strider just would take up to much pavement and be hard to hard to fit in shop aisles, The mountain buggy all though expensive is heaps thinner and seems alot sturdier. It has windows to view bubs and a sturdy metal basket underneath and is very well padded , but of course I could change my mind , It just seemed easier to wheel around the store it was lightere to , I catch buses and stuff cos we only have one car so i need something that is lighter. I wouldnt go for a pram that doesnt have sturdy wheels or has double wheels because when i had dd after my first pram broke , I brought another one with double wheels and they constantly locked and jarred when walking.
It also deoends on whether or not you are going to have more children because alot of them come with bonus seats , we unless a miracle occirs ( natural ) Will not have more so i didnt need a tyoddler seat or anything like that.
I read guide on prams through choice and also read test drive articles on jogging strollers. I go with the brands that are well tested and have passed the tests, I also like bright colours:):yelclap:
But we are not buying ours until June or july also , may things will be on end of year sales by then , I do trust steelcraft but the strider is just too wide for our needs.

Naards - HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Sounds like you had a great time, just as you deserve. How sweet of your DH. What a wonderful way (preparing for your bubbas) to spend this coming year.
Caz - I'm off sick today too. I had the start of tonsilitis yesterday and have the sniffles and coughing today. I'm taking it easy and going to my scan around lunchtime. Can't wait!
Kiz - Sounds like you did 100% the right thing with DSD. Something a little fishy going on there for sure, but even if not. I totally agree that FB is not appropriate for young children.
Musk - PRAMS! OMG....it was hard for us too. We decided on the Steelcraft Strider Plus for the following reasons:
Sturdy
Reputable brand
Travel system (capsule in and out of pram and car)
Ability to add second seat for bub #2
Ability to buy 3 wheeler as well for running/jogging and all accessories are interchangable
Value for money ($550 and all accessories come with - expect for bassinet, capsule and second seat) but everything else like foor warmer, mesh cover, rain cover/UV cover etc)
BUT I still won't know if it's the best one for us until we start using it. However we are confident with our choice.
Hope that helps a little.
AFM - Dress up party was great thanks for asking. Being Miss Piggy was quite uncomfortable though and by 12:30pm we had had enough. I was surprised I made it that late! I did have two Coke mini cans throughout the evening and sat down for most of the night so that . DH was a very good DH and didn't drink much at all.
Sunday morning on the way home we stopped in at my Step - Sis place and her and her DH cooked us a beautiful breakky. DH needed it and I really enjoyed not cooking! My other SS was there with her DF too. Was a lovely catch up.
Off sick today with a cold/flu and waiting for DH to come home from his massage (bad back) so we can head off the the scan. DH on night shift again this week but luckily we have a Show day holiday on Thursday and we both have taken Friday off! Woo Hoo! So a really short week this week.
I have acupuncture on Wednesday too which I am looking forward to.
Hope you are all well.
I'll post some pics later!

OMG Peachey !! Thats soo scary , Any bubbies who wanna come early that would be NO!!!!Rest up and :fingerscrossed: Bubs stays in there until 40 weeks.
CG , sorry to hear u feel unwell , Dh better do a good massge , costume party sounds cool , but i can see how miss piggy would get uncomfortable.
Yes I almost chose strider cos of all those things would def be my second choice:)
Yay the scan make sure to update , so exciting!!

Hi girls
I experienced the same thing as Meg last night spent the night in hospital just to be safe, all is good now! Will update you when we get home today!
Oh Peachy :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:
Tell us more when you get the chance. Stay well!!!!
megkeeley
12-04-2010, 11:51
Peachy - :hugs::hugs:its bloody scary isn't it
I have been fine since though and apparently my cervix is still high and closed which is a very good sign I am still on the medication to stop labour until tomorrow when I see my Ob
CG - Cant wait to hear ALL about your scan today soooooo exciting I hope you feel better soon too
Naards - OUCH you poor thing thank goodness all these aches and pains are for a damn good cause in the end
Musk - RE Prams I went with practical I thought of jogging but I don't really jog now and so its a pretty slim chance I'm going to jog after the baby :p I do walk alot though because I have such a large dog and DH and I spend alot of time out on weekends shopping and eating out with friends so it had to be something easy to maneuver and compact we ended up getting the bugaboo camelean my SIL bought one for her son who I look after a few days a week and I LOVE it fits in the car no probs the wheel base is small enough to fit through even narrow shop aisles the only negative is the price tag its a little pricey
Kiz - totally agree with everyone else on the facebook issue!!! Really what responsible parent would allow a 7 year old on such a site its way too dangerous and Im sure there is another site that is age appropriate I think it is Bebo or something
Cazz - I hope you feel better soon I woke up a bit sniffy and sneezy this morning so DH has whipped me up some meatballs with lots of garlic chilli and ginger in a spicy herb and tomato sauce to try and kill off any nasty germs hes off to work soon and I have been instructed to have them on brown rice for lunch and dinner with a big glass of OJ :p
A big HIIIIIIIIII to everyone Ive missed Ill catch up on more personals later I really need to do some work today I'm working from home but I'm still in my pjs and Ive only logged onto work once :o

12-04-2010, 12:16
Meg , I am soo happy to hear you and hermie are ok
good luck with ob appt tomorrow:)
What a good Dh making you yummy meatballs.
There are so many great prams around its hard to chose!!
Cazz – Thanks, yeah I want one to go walking and jogging with as well. We have a wagon and a 4WD so size is not so much of an issue, as long as I can lift it. I like the idea of pump up wheels rather than harder rubber ones. I do like a few of the 3 wheel steelcraft ones and there is a Valco 3 wheeler I like as well. Hmmm, decisions, decisions lol! Yeah hopefully the june/july sales will bring on some savings !
Peachy – :hugs: Hope everything is ok now and bubs stays put!
CG – Thanks. Steelcraft does sound like a very good brand, lots of good reviews . Prams are one of those things that we can research all we want but we won’t know if its right until bubby is here and we are using the pram every day. I’m sure you have made the right decision. Glad to hear you had a good time at the party, wow 12:30pm, I would be smashed !
Meg – Practical prams, now that is a definite ! I do a lot of walking as well and some is on dirt so big sturdy wheels are a must. The bugaboos are really nice prams and you are not wrong they are pricey!
It's good to hear about the prams we have all picked (well not me yet, lol)! It would be a boring world if we all picked the same! I'm sure in the end we will all pick that perfect pram :D!
gilliebean1
12-04-2010, 14:04
Oh Peachy, huge :hugs:, this is getting a little scary!! Rest up and give bubs a stern talking to!
Musk - re prams, the main thing for us was compact, as I have a Corolla hatch and DH will be driving the 'family car' (when we get it) to work and back every day (!), I needed something that would easily fit into the back of broomie. We have the Baby Jogger City Mini. We only really had 2 in mind, the other was the Maclaren Turbo or something (umbrella fold) but in the end we decided on the baby jogger. I have had a bit of a burn around the house since we bought it home and its really easy to manouvre, one hand fold and raise. I suppose the only downside is that its probably not going to be great for off roading as the wheels aren't that big, but we don't do much of that anyway and the walking we do would be on pavement. But, as you said, I guess we will only really know when we come to use it, at the moment its folded up in Bert's room - but it looks great up there, very compact lol. Oh, and with our one all the accessories are extra, which is a bit crap. But all in all, i am very happy with our choice and can't wait to strap Bert in to go for a spin (but not until 40 weeks mate, dont go getting any ideas!). It is sooo hard to decide though, you can only do so much research before you lose your sanity, so in the end I would just say trust your instincts!
Meg - love your jogging comment  Glad to hear you and Hermie are doing ok and that DH is looking after you! Hope all goes well tomorrow with your OB.
CG well done on the party - I would have struggled to 1230 as well! Sorry to hear you are so sick, take it easy and get lots of rest. Can't wait to hear how you go today!
Cazz I have heard good things about Mountain Buggy. I didn't give the warranties a second thought when we bought them, until I was up in Bert's room yesterday putting a few of them in the drawer of his chest of drawers!!!! Bugger! Glad you are having the day off to recuperate - take care of yourself x
Naards HAPPY BIRTHDAY for the weekend (coz you have to have 2 days of celebrating!! Sounds like you were spoilt rotten, and deservedly so! What a gorgeous thing for DH to write on your card!!! Can you believe in 12 months time you will have 2 extra people buying you pressies - OMG!!!!! SO AWESOME!!Oh yyuuummm cheesecake....can we all come and join you lol. Your pain sounds awful, cheesecake will make it feel better, its a medical fact lol :p!
I hate Mondays! Really, they suck! Apart from severe lack of motivation and not wanting to be here today, not much to report with me today lol. My boss who is the most painful annoying man ever, is supposed to be back in the office tomorrow, and our nice boss is planning on being away for the rest of the week, and just the thought of it is giving me hives and stressing me out :hair:

Well ladies. Back from 20 weeks scan and everything is PERFECT!
Although, I am totally bummed that we didn't get any good photos....they're only of like the thigh bone, head and abdomen etc. Nothing that screams "here's your beautiful little baby". Looks like I'll be waiting till our 4D scan before I can share any pics.
Sorry.
I am also having trouble uploading to the BH album so once I figure out how to reduce the file size of my photos, then I can post some for you.

Hopefully he listens.

CG- YAY on a perfect scan! I did not get any great photos for my 20 week scan either. But cannot wait to see your pics!!
Cazz- awesome find on those sheets!! Tell Logan no more coke! lol
Meg- how old is your nephew? Enjoy Mama in training!! :D
Peachy- Oh so so sorry to hear you had your scare! I am so glad everything is all ok now. How frightening!
Musk- we chose our pram on the features and benefits. Ours is light weight and it also has the reversible handle so bubs can face me when younger and face out when older. Something that suits our lifestyle I suppose.
Naards! happybirthdayhappybirthdayhappybirthday When i read what your DH wrote on your card it made me teary! So beautiful and thoughtful!
Gillie- try not to stress (easier said than done i know that for sure!!) Stupid mean boss man! grrr...
I am hooked on Merlin. I managed to get the second series and I cannot stop watching it!!
I fare welled my furbaby today as she flew back with my Dad who came to visit for the weekend. We decided it was cheaper to fly her as baggage rather than freight and saves us a kennel when we are in a hotel after the uplift.

mincazz79
12-04-2010, 17:33
yes green especially a jade colour is beautiful , I have to work out what we are going to do with the nursery. There is a double bed in there at the moment , I am not sure whether to move it or leave it . I think leaving it would be a great op-tion for nights when bubs is uneasy and dh needs sleep , But it takes alot of room , we can still fit the cot , change table is going to be kept in the bathroom for easy access . I just feel if i get rid of it , i might then need it later on. I saw there gorg baby jungle animal stickers that just stick write on the wall , I have never painted in my life and neither has dh , so i am not sure if we will paint the room.
I guess we still have time and it will all come together.:)
Still all u ladies are soo org and I havent done much at all.
I have a question is anyone else feelin alot of pressure under ur ribs or breastbone?? I asked the doctor at hospital she said it was just everything being pushed up , what do u gals think , its painful

Hi girls, just another quick one from me!
Sooooo... sunday night my tummy was tightening at regular intevals and i had some cramping!
Went to hosptil was put on a monitor and had an internal examination of my cervix! Cervix was closed and long which was good! Monitor was picking up small contractions so they gave me some drugs and kept me in for obs over night.... YAY!
Next morning a repeat of all tests were normal except urine which they thought i might have had a bladder infection so i was put on antibiotics straight away! I have now found out i dont have a bladder infection.. arghhhhhh
So on my own i'm putting this all down to me being a little run down, dehydrated and a bit hungry... i think that it was braxton hicks... stupid midwife was like... oh you wouldnt be able to feel those... hmmm well i wasnt going into labour,.... so what else could they have been!
I've been very cautious since! i feel really fragile like i cant do much incase it happens again! I had a similar thing happen last night! my tummy was as hard as a rock!
so we arent sure what caused it all... so time to try ad forget about it and think about cooking this little one for the next 16 weeks!
Hope everyone is well! will get to personals later!!
BTW chicken girl your belly is the cutest thing ever!!
lots of love!! Peachy xxx

Ok.. this may be an all about me post until I can get my head sorted and do personals.
After DH reported the FB page we got an email saying they have deleted it. So awesome we thought!!
Until this morning when we got 2 more friend requests not only from DSD7 bit also DSS6 ??? WTF??
This time they have their photos up.
What to do NOW??
On another note, went to work yesterday after my week off (only 2 days to go!!!) and the place was a MESS! it was a disaster area!
The manager is now on annual leave and she closed the night before so why the F didn't she make sure the store was ready for her staff the next day. I looked to see when her last sale was and it was at 1.30pm so it is not like she was selling!!! :banghead: She knows why I am leaving her early and yet she makes it harder for me! I took photos of the place and it was extra work for me to get it customer ready. I am furious!
Cobbec- Hey!! Sorry to hear your Emma is sick! Hope she is feeling better really really soon!! Congrats on your princess!! Abbi Rose!!
CG- i have days like that so don't worry about it too much!! But you feel awful after eating sometimes dont you? :hugs:
Meg- Yay for working at home!! Woo hoo!! Have fun with your nephew!!
Mincazz- Thanks for the role call I was just thinking about that the other day!!
Hi to everyone  Will be on and off here today! DH was on duty last night so restless night sleep last night as no furbaby to sleep with either  But will see DH tonight!!

Your manager sounds like a nightmare what a bi#ch for doing that some people have no consideration AT ALL!!!!! Makes me feel lucky that I have such an amazing boss (even if she is DH's sister :p ) I'm still on fulltime salary but staying at home at least 3 days a week I suppose she does get free daycare so everyones a winner :D

15-04-2010, 10:24
Yes Meg I think it quite possibly the ex. I am not underestimating the kids as they are smart and I have seen them use the computer. Not so much in typing etc.
It is just weird that this has come up now after all the probing questions they have asked through the kids. And now with photos.
I am thinking of not accepting them and leaving it, and if they ask tell them why.
Just had a call from work, the NEW 2IC did not show up for work today! I am NOT going in! I am exhausted! The part timer arranged an appt today and when she asked me I told her to call the Mgr..
Karma...
Now i feel bad!

22 WEEKS TODAY!!!:smiliedance:
Hey Gals
Kiz , I guess there is nothing else you can do , the problem with facebook and sites like that
is that they are not really monitored , still best not to add them as friends.
I hate that when you get back to work and everything is everywhere . its called common sense people , thats sux , but you will
be out of there soon , just do the final countdown.24 weeks yes thats fab!!
oh no furbaby good that Dh will be back soon , and it wont be long until you see furbaby again.
Meg , great news about fantastic news
Afm , the othern night our oldest doggy slept on our bed , he normally sleeps with dd , anywy he seemed
to lose his breathe and struggled for a min . i called the vet yesterday , he needs a diarectic ( have no idea how to spell)
our poor dog , since when did 7.5 make an old dog? We love him so much , man and why does it always seem like vets
want all your money .. its like we payed 750.00 in march and now they want 500.00 for a scan that , I am worried , he just seems uncomfortable alot
prob wont show anything other than what the xray showed!! Grr makes me a lil angry.
Sorted finances out with dh , we will refinance our mortgage , he has had a bad start to the year work wise
so its the best choice.
Cobbec – Nice to hear from you, sorry to hear that Emma has not been well, I hope she is getting better. WOO HOO for a GIRL and what a beautiful name!
Meg – A full week at home, sounds like something I need ! Enjoy the time with your nephew.
Kiz – Wow, this lady does not give up! I cannot understand how kids that young can be on FB. By the sounds of it it’s the mother using the kids to try and get info and stuff on you and DH. I hope it all works out for you hun. Your manager sounds very annoying, not long and you won’t have to put up with it anymore. Don’t feel bad, it is not your problem!
Cazz – Yay for 22 weeks! Glad to hear that you have sorted everything out with DH. I hope your furbaby is alright. I hate it when our furbabies are not well.
AFM – Bubby has taken a liking to kicking or punching me down low, especially when I need to pee , cheeky little devil! I am looking into doing a breastfeeding education class in addition to the antenatal classes. It is one thing that my SILs and friends have said, the antenatal classes touch base on breastfeeding but you don’t learn nearly enough and that they wish they had gone to a specific breastfeeding class. Can’t hurt I suppose, the more informed and confident about it the better I think.

Hi ladies, sorry you will prob note some 'tone' in my responses today. Will explain at the end.
Kiz - WTF????? That's just plain wrong! There is no way a 6 and 7 year old should be on FB, and if the ex is aware, and allowing it, even worse! You and DH have done the right thing. If the kiddlets get the craps because you haven't befriended them well tough titties!!!!! I wonder if they even know how to use FB, let alone upload a pic??? God knows I struggle with that concept and I am 34  And WTF is the go with your manager? That's terrible behaviour, and good on you for taking pics. You shouldn't have to clean up someone elses 'mess', you are doing them a favour this week! Don't feel bad!
Cazz - sorry to hear furbaby has been unwell again. Sometimes it does feel like the vets take you for a ride, everything pet related is soo expensive! Hopefully its nothing serious and he is back to his old tricks again soon. Give him lots of hugs and lovin' in the meantime. Glad you and DH have sorted out your finances - its such a bloody stressful topic!
Musk - cheeky little ratbag you have there :D BF class is a great idea. It is something that you want to have a bit more indepth knowledge about, and you don't know how helpful they will be at hospital once bub is born (have heard some great stories, but also some bad ones where the new mum gets no help!) Knowledge is power girlfriend lol
Bec - yay for a girl!!!! The pinks are coming back lol. And I LOVE LOVE the name, its beautiful. Hope Emma gets better quickly
Hahaha CG you are a crack up! Don't worry about the eating, bubs is prob having a growth spurt therefore mummy needs more...well that's always my excuse anyway
Meg - great for working from home, and good practice with your nephew! You have a great set up there, your work seems flexible and you get to spend some wonderful quality time with your nephew, and that's so special.
Sorry If I have missed anyone - want to get this in an posted before 2pm - god forbid the internet police come knocking again!!!
AFM, sorry if this is a bit of a drag me post!! Had appt with endocrinologist yest and my hormone levels have slightly increased despite the last increase in meds, so she has upped them again as they are still too high!!! :hair: The rate I am going they won't even be sorted by the time Bert comes!! So frustrating. Anyhoo, will be back for routine BT in 4 weeks to see how things are going and she will take it from there.
Also had appt with OB today, and I have complete placenta previa, miniscule to no chance of natural delivery for me. He showed us the placenta on the scan and explained everything and drew pics etc and he said that it is highly unlikely that it will move, due to its current position, its a complete "U" shape right at the bottom. I am just so gutted. Not that I have a problem with c-sections at all, don't get me wrong, its what's best for Bert that is most important, but its just come as a shock that its complete, and not just partial. After all the crap we went through I desperately wanted to be able to try for a natural delivery and that's now not likely to happen. Its a bit of a blur but he mentioned an extra scan around 34-36 weeks I think it was and they would then decide on delivery. But everything else looks fine and dandy with the B Bop, he was moving around heaps and he def confirmed the presence of boys bits so I am stoked! And he is flipping and dipping and getting up to all sorts of mischief in there today, it feels soo funny!!!!
Righto sorry for the rant, I am off to kick myself in the **** and tell myself how lucky I am to be having a baby and to get over myself, maybe chocolate will help me with that lol
big love ladies xoxo

15-04-2010, 16:34
Sparklesare crashes in sorry...hey girls, good to see you all baking along nicely.
Gillie: Love I have it also, as you know I had a few problems with my placenta and landed in hospy at 30 weeks as Twin B's heartbeat was being compromised from it.
Its a hard reality I know re a C Section, but take the advice from your OB as the right advice for whats best for Bert. I didnt really want a C Section either, but I am looking at one..in precisely 4 weeks today!!:yelclap:
Wait for your later scans I say the scan at 30 or 34 or 36 depending when your OB does them will tell you more accurately. My Placenta Previa has calmed right down, but I am still considered high risk because of the twins anyway but thats added to the joys.
Whatever gets Bert out in the world and in to your arms is the best result...Thats my theory for Peanut and Walnut.. And enjoy the rest of your pregnancy hun, dont think rain on your sunshine...its a special time...but I tell you I am getting VERY OVER IT!!!

Gillie , yes I know how u feel , Yes you should be happy blah blah!
but wait its ok to feel dissapointed about c section and not having
a natural birth , I remember when i gave birth to dd , and after she came out
the placenta got stuck , then the doc was like Oh we will have to
do an epidural so we can remove it !! I thought fk off I have come this far , i managed
to get it out , but in reality if the epidural had to be done , it just had to be.
dd was posterial and the birth was quick but very painful and i tore and blistered when
she was trying to come out.
It is ok to feel angry i promise . What are meds For ? I have hypothroid and the levels are stable m, but there is always a chance the levels may either decrease or increase in later pregnancy
Besides sweety even though , it may not be natural , you will have your bubs on your chest straight
after skin to skin contact , You can prepare yourself for a c section and if by some miracle it doesnt
have to be a c section , you will be ok.
Yes we are pregnant and its a miracle , but it doesnt stop us from second guessing
ourselves. Yay def boy bits!! How cute!
Yeah I have to have another scan at 36 weeks also , because of past history with posterial birth
midwife said something about addressing it diffrently next time :)
Musk , yes def BF classes , we didnt have any and man was BF frustrating@!! I intend on finding as many BF education classes and resources as I can

Aarrghh girls, thanks so much for your words :hugs:, I have kicked myself in the butt and think I have snapped myself out of it, kinda, he has been kicking and thrashing around today to tell me mummy, its ok, don't worry :p I also sent OB an email with a couple of questions I thought of at work, so hopefully he answers them quickly, I think I am just frustrated after yesterday's appt and today, it just felt like a complete kick in the guts, and I am no doubt being overly emotional as well lol. Me? Overly emotional? Surely not  It goes without saying that Bert's health is the number one most important thing to me, so this princess is just going to suck it up lol
Cazz my thyroid is underactive, TSH levels are still too high, in normal range, but she wants them lowered. Its all a bit blah blah, I just pop my pills now and do as I am told lol
Sare yayyyyyy for 4 weeks, can't believe you are so close to meeting the nuts! I am sooo excited for you! So OB has decided C is happening?

Gillie - I am also having a C section I have a funny tail bone that tends to chip or fracture very easily and apparently a natural labour will more than likely damage it its no danger for 'Hermie' but a painful recovery for me (I figure sore woo hoo and bottom might be a bit much) so Ive opted elective C section Im trying to be positive about it by thinking oh well I can plan it my parents can fly up from Melbourne for the birth and not miss out Im a little worried about post recovery but my mum is going to stay with us for the first 3 weeks to help out (god help poor dh :p ) and my DH has 8 weeks paternity leave Ive been trying to do lots and lots of research to help speedy recovery and to know what to expect still a little scary though :o

I am so glad its friday i feel terrible , dh woke me last night and said babe i cant sleep
please stop snoring , so all night I kept waking up and worrying that I was snoring!!
all i did was toss and turn all night . Logan got some sleep i think , That makes 1 of us.
I was snoring cos i cannot breathe properly , when i told dh i kept waking up , he said babe
i just needed to fall asleep. I think I will have to put the vapouriser on tonight.
I can see myself nipping over to the cafe and getting a thickshake my head hurts , my throaut hurts and
my sinus's hurt.
Ok enough of a whinge!!
Furbaby has started to sleepdownstairs in the family area on a chair , he seems to just be happier there.

Sare yayyyyyy for 4 weeks, can't believe you are so close to meeting the nuts! I am sooo excited for you! So OB has decided C is happening?[/QUOTE]
Hey Gillie, I have until next scan at 36 weeks (if I make it :o to decide if I want to attempt natural. Twin B is transverse (sideways) across my belly which can cause cord tangling, neck extension of bubs, and a couple of other complications, plus the risk of needing him to "manually adjust" bubs to move it down to the birth canal. The neck extension is the biggest concern as can restrict breathing and OB said it nearly always ends up in an emerg c Sec which I ultimately dont want from a stress point of view. If I have to just lock in the C Sec and be done with it, honestly, I think thats the way we are headed. Looking at induction though at 38 weeks, so May 13th or thereabouts, OB wont entertain anything earlier . :yelclap: Time to meet these little monkeys!

Sparkles - All the best for the next few weeks! I bet you can't wait to meet your little ones.
Gillie - :hugs: for the news about no chance of natural birth. I would feel the same way. I just expect that that is what will happen, as you did. But whatever it takes to have your little one in your arms safe and sound right?
Meg - OMG.....it's so hard isn't it. I wish I could just sew my lips together!!! Jelly slice - what is that abousolutely delicious sounding creation? YAY for being home all week and having a flexible job.
Musk - Good idea. I think I'll have access to a lactation consultant so if they don't give me enough info at the parenting classes, I might look into that one.
Cazz - Hope you sleep better tonight! I also hope you furbaby gets better. My DH and fubaby were snoring their heads off the other night, all I could do was laugh! DH only rarely snores and I just need to nudge him and say "shut it!" and he re-positions and it stops
Mac - What a joke with your work hey? Glad it's nearly over.....
Are you all ready for the move coming up?
Peachy - how are you going? I hope everything is ok.
Naards - How are Harry and "Larry" going? Not too much longer for you at work either hey?
AFM - Lovely day at home yesterday and today. Public holiday for the show yesterday and took a day off today. Just watched Dr Phil and Oprah. Went to the gym and did the groceries this morning. Now I'm going to start preparing a quiche for dinner! YUM YUM.
Squish has been quite active the last few days, it's so lovely. Counting down now till our 3D/4D scan on 12 June. Can't wait!!!
Hope you are all well.

Hi Girls!
Sorry I've been MIA for a few days. Life's been a little hectic!
Gillie, what a shame about having to have a c section! But yes I agree with the other girls, we need Bert to arrive safe and sound.. no matter where he comes from. I do understand the disappointment when you think all along it will be one way (and imagine it that way) just to find out it won't quite go to plan. :hugs:
Meg, I am an eating machine! I cannot believe for one minute that I've only put on 7 kgs! I deserve to have put on 100!! I too like the sound of this Jelly Slice!!! Well so far today I've had my peanut butter toast, a muffin, a lemon and lime tart, some hot chips and a felafel k'baby... situation normal! :o
Musk, yep I'll be definitely going to BF classes, I think the multiple birth association holds these too. It could be a logistical nightmare! but I'm gonna give it a go...
Cazz I hope your furbaby is OK honey? I hate it when my furbabies are sick. Mine have an infestation of fleas again!!! I'm doing the right thing and fleaing them (flea baths and the expensive frontline stuff!) but I think it's the dog next door that keeps passing them on! How do I ask the neighbour to flea her dog without it sounding rude??
Sparkles.. that's amazing about the 4 weeks! The countdown has begun! God I can only imagine how hard the decision is to make with twins. All you want is for them to come out healthy but you don't want to have to make the decision.
CG, Oh I'm so jealous of you having the day off! I can't wait til I don't have to come to work anymore! 6 weeks to go though!
I hope everyone else is well!!
AFM, well I've just been the worst imaginable pain. I think I definitely have SPD and I just don't know what to do to help relieve it. My osteo is trying her hardest but I think there's a limit to what she can do. I literally just walked to the mall (5 mins away) and back at lunchtime and I'm in excruciating pain!!! :crying: Aqua fitness is really good because it doesn't cause pain while I'm in the pool but not sure if it's doing more harm than good?? I have an appointment with my midwife on Wednesday, I'll ask her about it. I just didn't think I'd feel this bad this early! Sorry for the whinge ladies...
In other news, I just worked out my leave and i can generally take nearly a year and half off with only a 10% pay reduction! One of the perks of being in the same department for a long time (20 years!)... and being so old!! he he
Got a nice quiet weekend planned... what are you ladies up to?? xxx

CG - tell me about it my ticker says 15 weeks but my OB told me on Tuesday that next appointment he will give me my tentative C section date which will probably be 2 weeks to 10 days before which means I only have 13 weeks ARRRRRRGGGGGGGGG scared much now :o
OMG Meg I'm that sounds amazing... combining a few of my favourite things... condensed milk, lemon and lime jelly!!!! Yum!!! I'm gonna have to make it tonight me thinks...
This is also a favourite of mine... you can actually put any kind of chocolate in it... I've tried choc mint and choc hazlenut and always put more hazlenuts in! Oh and the cherry is good too with extra cherries! The only downfall is that you freeze it and cut it into biscuit sized bits and then you eat them... all of them!!!

he he I bought the ingredients for the hazelnut one at the shop this arvo... only saving grace is that it takes a while to freeze so won't be ready til tomorrow when DH can help me... ;)
hey all hope all are doing well. Im home alone for the weekend yuk hate being alone lol was wondering if any of you can help me for the past 8 days I keep getting sharp pains bout 3 a day my tummy tightins up so much it takes my breathe away i find myself having to breathe through them they last bout 1 min does anyone know what it could be?:(

Kyster, sounds like they could be Braxton Hicks... but I'm only guessing of course. Have you asked your midwife/OB about them?? I'd be checking that one out, especially if they are strong enough to take your breath away already?
Hi everyone else
Quick hello to sparklesare, OMG girl are you seriously only 4 weeks from seeing your bubbas??? That went so damn quickly!!!! Are you still in NY or back in Aus now? Jeez time flies... I hope my pregnancy goes as quickly as yours has! Although, I am 20 weeks today (WOOHOO!!!!) so I guess it is going pretty quickly now I think of it...
Oh Gillie, don't fret too much about the caesar, I know I desperately want a natural birth too but because I am overweight I have been told that I am slightly higher risk category for needing a slice'n'dice. I was upset for about 10 seconds until I realised that HELLO I have been through hell and back to just get pregnant, I can cope with a bit more unnatural stuff to finally get my hands on that bubba! When you get down to the nitty gritty, a natural birth would be wonderful, as would've been a natural conception, but hey that didn't happen either... and I dealt with that :goodvibes:
How is everyone else's weekends shaping up? I am going to my sister-in-law-to-be's hens tomorrow, chocolate high tea at the stamford plaza, yay! Looking forward to it

hey gals
CG , Thanks I finally did get a whole nights sleep , I think I
managed not to snore .Thats great about the public holiday and
the extra day off. Yummy Quiche , Squishy is really there , isnt that
a great feeling , sometimes when Logan goes quiet i wonder
if he is still ok. Oh yes 3d scan woo hoo , I have to organise mine.
yes when bubs come we wont know what has hit us.
Naards , Yeah NO!! you cant really go and say hey idoit flea
your animals!! so hopefully furbubs recover from fleas. Dermy is
ok , he seems a little bit more comfortable after starting meds.
Sorry to hear about your pain , I hope you feel better soon
Great news about work and taking so much leave , You have earnt it
so enjoy it. Slice sounds lovely , I best not make it though , cos
I will either eat it all , or not touch it.
Meg , wow 13 weeks crazy!! but sooo exciting
Kyster , sorry about being home alone , I also hate that!!
Could be braxton hix , but i also noticed when i had scan that when
logan stretches out i get sharp tightning pains. I notice it a few times
a day and can imagine him digging his tiny feet into the side of
my abdomen.
Bella , Great advice about c section and that right you didnt
get there naturally and maybe bubs wont either , but its ok the end
result is the same.
How exciting enjoy the hens night.
AFM . I am actually enjoying where I am working , The gals are funny and talk to me
loads about being pregnant and labour , gosh the funny stories people tell you.
I find myself being a bit of a worrier and it makes it so much easier having
the dobbler then i know he is ok, all though I must admit he is active this morning.
Found myself getting jealous or ****ed about the amount my dh talks about his stylist what she
thinks and she feels!! Man preg hormones ... I know there is nothing going on , i just wish he talked
about something other than MONEY , WORK and what the damn stylist thinks!!
Dont worry normally i am well balanced really I am:laughing:
The sciattica pain is killing me and I am seeing the hospital physio on wednesday!! woo hoo
hopefully they can fix it.
ok well i am still sick with this bug , so weekend will be filled with rest , i am hoping that a kitty comes in soon for a cuddle.

Hi gals ,
Just found out my neighbour is pregnant also !! 20 weeks so we are like 2 and a bit weeks apart.
see she had mc before I started ivf and i ddint wanna tell her i was preggers due to the fact she would need some time to get over it.
We keep to ourselves but always say hi , and a few weeks ago i saw her from the side and thought is she?? And today she came over with her hubby and said we have some great news , i also told her i was preggers also , we were both very happy for eachother , she is not sure what she is having but is also having the jam and strawberry flav cravings maybe she will have a boy!!
I hope all of your weekends were good , I am feeling better :)

Morning everyone!!
yum those slices sound good! I may have to experiment in the next few weeks.
Well work is no more for me!! hurray!!! The new Assistant Manager has called in sick both times I was covering the manager and I have not got one single word from the manager. Left my store keys in the safe when i left.
This morning I have dinner in the slow cooker, a chocolate cake in the oven and two loads of washing already done!
i am a little on the off side today though but trying to battle through it. I have a really sore tooth and also I have been having weird cramps in the side of my stomach.
Really tired!! I had the worst dream about living in an apartment unit and it being broken into and our things being smashed several times to see the offender murder and cut off peoples limbs. Bleh! could not sleep which is why I have already got so much done this morning!
Mincazz- Yay for not snoring!! Yay!! how is Logan going? It is amazing how fast it is all going isn't it? Snoopy is having fun bashing mummy up! Dh thinks it is funny. I know what you mean about the preggie hormones! I feel like a beach ball sometimes and get really annoyed with DH when he does not spend time talking to me yet can talk to other people for hours. but then i realise he has already told me the stories he tells them, he just tells me throughout the day rather than in a limited period of time.
Kyster- :hugs: How are you going honey?
Bella- OMG how was your chocolate high tea?? Hmmm chocolate... glad i have a cake in the oven!!
CG- How exciting about your 3D/4D scan! I do not think anyone does it up in Darwin :crying: What an amazing bonding experience to have though! That is one day before my bday so i will remember the day well!!
Naards- The flea thing is a little hard! We have good friends we go and visit and they have animals everywhere including chickens and my little furbaby got her first tick! looks like we bought one home from their house because she has never had one before. Glad Harry and Larry are doing very well! Keep those recipes coming! Sorry to hear about your pain, but great news about the time off work for so long!
Gillie- how are you feeling? i hope you are feeling better about the CS. I have to have a scan later on to make sure my placenta has risen. I also agree with the other girls, as long as Bert is safe and arrives in a way better for him! :hugs:
Peachy Meg and Musk- How are you three????
5 weeks until our whole life is turned upside down with DH going and me moving!
Was thinking also that i think another thread is doing it when we all trade our mobile number to another one. I know when Snoopy is born DH is sending a mass text to a group of people in my phone I have labeled "privileged" as I am not sure when I will get time to post and the bubhubber can post the news for me! I hope that made sense but it is just an idea and i am just throwing it out there!! or it also might be better if we just post the news when we can!
Well that is my next load of washing done so better go and do that! Hope everyone has a great day! Will pop on later as housework needs frequent rewards!!
Gillie – Please don’t be too hard on yourself about having to have a c-section. I know it would have been a shock to be told ‘this is how it’s going to be’ but it doesn’t matter which ‘hole’ Bert comes out of, as long as he is happy and safe in your arms . I use to think that there was no way I would have a c-section and I would do absolutely anything to avoid having one, but after trying so hard to fall pregnant and then boarding the IVF train, to me now, it doesn’t matter what type of delivery you have, it is the end result of having your baby in your arms. You are going to be a great Mum, no matter how Bert arrives!
Naards – I hope you are feeling better. Excellent news on being able to take 18 months leave, that’s great!
Meg – Wow, let us know if you get a date for your c-sect, how exciting. Those recipes are a bit evil I think, lol!
Kyster – Sounds like you are having Braxton hicks, have you checked with your midwife/OB?
Cazz – How did your weekend of rest go? I hope you are feeling better. Nice to hear that your neighbor is pregnant too and your dates are so close.
Kiz – I have heard that around 24 weeks onwards you can get cramps and pains up either side of your stomach, which is the uterus stretching more as the baby grows. I suppose the space in there is getting quite limited, lol! I know you wouldn’t be looking forward to DH going, but are you looking forward to moving? I think the SMS buddy is a great idea, maybe we need to find our due date calendar again. Wow you have been a busy little bee this morning! WOO HOO for no more work! :yelclap:
AFM – I have booked in for my breastfeeding class, so that is one thing ticked off my list, lol! I also have to get a doctors appoint for DH to have his whooping cough needle (hahaha!) I had my midwife appoint on Friday and bubby is measuring perfect. She couldn’t find the heartbeat cause every time she put the Doppler n my tummy bubby would kick it away ! She ended up doing an ultrasound to find it and said it sounded great! The Doppler was picking up my heartbeat, bubbys heartbeat and the swooshing from all the kicking, lol! Cheeky little baby! :p

Mac - :smiliedance: No more work dance! Yay for you and Snoops.
I have 58 more days until you can all do one for me. Some of you will have had your bubbas by then! So they can join in too! I like the idea of us having an "annoucement buddy". Maybe we could create an announcements thread say around mid june? OMG....it is comig up so quickly! Boo hoo for furbaby's tick. Yukko. Not long now till the big move. Where are you headed again?
Musk - Good on you for booking in the BF classes. I also made DH get the WC vaccine, much to his disgust. Having been in the army and been jabbed with every vaccine known to man - he's a little off them as you could imagine. But, because he is such a wonderful husband (and soon to be daddy) he got it! Apparently they have a new parents vaccine course that is free after bub is born. I opted to pay for it though so we are both protected before bubba greets us. Only $30 or something.
Kyster - How are your pains going? I hope DS and your close friends have been keeping you company!
Naards - Poor furbaby
Cazz - That's lovely news about your neighbour! Your little ones can play together :yelclap:
Bella - Mmmmmmmmmmmm Chocolate high tea. Yum Yum Yum! We stayed at the Stamford for our wedding night! Spectacular views. When do you finish up work? Are you with Qld Ed?
AFM - Had a lovely 4 day weekend. Finally cleaned by floors the way I have been wanting to. Watched a couple of good DVDs and DH painted Squishy's wall. YAY! Had our friend over just now to check out where Squishy's air con will go (heats as well for our colder climate) and I think my Birth Skills book is at the post office waiting for me to collect it.
I am really into cakes, biscuits and muffins at the moment. OMG - I could eat it all day. Oh, that and tuna salads with Paul Newman Ranch dressing. Not together.....
DH on nights so I mis having my best mate around to chat to and cuddle : ( Oh well, at least he has some time to get things he wants done around the house.
Next weekend - another long weekend, we are taking Furbaby up to the park to have a picnic and play with her toy as a special treat cause her little tummy sore has nearly healed up!
Other than that - work is a drag.....

Im still getting those pains Im due for 24 wk dr app on wednesday so lots to talk bout with him lol and to top it all off now I have the flu lol and no husband to look after me just my ever so sweet and helpful Campbell thank god I have him. Take care and thank u for all yr caring and kind words. xoxoxoxox
Hiya Girls!
Kys, you poor thing having that horrible pain and the flu!!! I hope you get better soon honey. God bless Campbell for being there for you... what a great support! I do understand about the pain though, mine gets worse and worse everyday... hard to know what to do about it!!! Sometimes I just cry out in pain when trying to get up (well more often than sometimes! Argh!)
CG, oh god I love muffins, cupcakes, cakes, biscuits... anything sugary and carb loaded! he he I found two different types of cupcakes on the weekend and it's hard to decide which ones I like the most! In fact I still have some in the fridge... hmmmm Yep and I agree, work is a drag! he he
Musk, that's so cute about bubba kicking the doppler away! Very very cheeky! So glad your midwife appointment went well... and good news about the BF classes. I really need to look into those too...
Kiz, great idea about the mobile swap! That way we're not all wondering why we haven't heard from someone for a while and start panicking! And fantastic news about no more work! Woohoo! I am counting down the days! (well weeks.. he he)
Cazz not good to hear you're still unwell, I hope the weekend of rest cleared it up for you!!
bella, that's strange about you maybe having to have a c section because of weight?? I am a larger person and my OB has never even mentioned it (outside the fact that I may have one due to having twins of course). And yep chocolate high tea sounds bloody awesome!!
AFM, Harry and Larry have been kicking up a storm. The joy of having twins... kicking in my ribs AND in my cervix all at the same time. I thought I was gonna hurl! At first the kicking in the cervix was just weird but now it hurts and is weird at the same time  And it happens during meetings... interesting trying to hide the look of surprise on my face when that happens! he he
Is anyone else having pain in the ribs already? It almost feels like I have a foot or something wedged between my ribs and my liver... and it feels crampy... fun!
God listen to me whinge... sorry ladies! I am trying to keep my eye on the prize but sometimes it's just hard work! But of course at the same time I am so overjoyed about expecting these special two that sometimes I just sit and smile to myself.
I'm off to Sydney this weekend for a girls weekend with my sis... we're seeing Tears for Fears and Spandau Ballet on Friday night... I'm so excited!!!!!

All is well here!! Getting SO excited!!! Cant believe how close we all are to meeting our little babies!!! argh... so exciting!
I've been having heaps of trouble getting comfortable at night and wake up with weird pains in my sides which feel like a stitch! ahhh the joys!!
Hope everyone is well!!

Good moring lovely ladies
CG – DH doesn’t mind having the WC vaccine and we would rather him have it before bubby is born too. Yay for getting Squishy’s wall painted. Thanks for the reminder, I need to order my Birth Skills book too. I have heard some great things about it.
Kyster – Sorry to hear you’re still in pain hun, I hope you start to feel better real soon. Sounds like you have a good helper with you though while DH is away. How funny it would be to have a little window in our tummy to check what bubby is up to in there !
Naards – OMG, the kicking in the cervix is a weird feeling hey! Oh and don’t forget the ones into your bladder! Even if it’s not full I nearly pee myself, lol! I read the Up The Duff book week to week and a couple of weeks ago I thought I would take a peek at the next week along and it said something about baby could be up into your ribs about now and I thought ‘no, bubby is not that big yet’, well the next morning at about 4am I was getting kick after kick into my ribs ! Serves myself right for sneaking a peek! Enjoy your girls only weekend, sounds fun.
Peachy – Good to hear that DH’s business is going so well. I have to say that getting comfortable is one thing I don’t have a problem with (touch wood). I have a belly bean pillow which is amazing!

Afternoon Ladies :D
Musk - LOVE the idea of a window in our tummy hehe would be so great to be able to peak in and see whats going on
Cazz - You poor poor little thing way too many aches and pains for one person just keep your eye on the prize at the end Logan will definitely make it all worth while
Peachy - Fantastic news about DH's business and such a good wife for being so helpful
Naards - I hope you enjoy your girls weekend and listen carefully Harry & Larry behave this weekend for your mummy keep all rib and cervix kicking to a minimum :p
CG - AAAAHHHHHHHH muffins, cakes, slices, anything sweet I cant get enough I make sure I take furbaby for a big hour and a half walk every morning to try and compensate for my sweet tooth
Gillie - I just booked into a c section birthing class at my hospital rather than the normal birthing class as OB told me alot of that class is focused on the labour and pain management the c section class still covers breast feeding and everything else but is c section related
Mac - :yelclap::yelclap: YAY no more work for you now sit back relax and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy
AFM - Well so far I'm feeling quite blessed touch wood I'm still sleeping really comfortably at night I don't have any aches and pains and I haven't gotten a single stretch mark (but not sure if these appear towards the end I'm hoping not??) I'm getting lots of kicks but they are all on my right side down low so not causing too much pain yet
Dh decided we need a last little get away while its just the two of us and before I get too uncomfortable so he has booked us a weekend on the gold coast at Palazzo Versace in two weeks Im very excited cant wait to relax at the resort spend a morning at the dayspa and indulge in a mocktail or 2 :smiliedance:
Cazz my dear you are in the wars aren’t you. Please try and put your feet up and rest. Hopefully you feel better soon. :hugs:
Meg – I think you and I are in the same boat, I have been feeling really well and no aches or pains (touch wood)! I have a sneaking suspicion that the good old stretch marks come towards the end, we may be lucky and miss those too ! I have been exfoliating and moisturising my tummy, sides and boobs every morning and night since before my transfer. Not sure if it will prevent them  but it feels nice and helps with the tight feeling across my tummy. What a nice DH to book a weekend away and the resort sounds devine !

hi gals
just a quick one , I went to hospital physio this morning , i have pelvic instability and sciaatica nerve stuff going on , The guy was so kind and just lovely. I got a pelvic support belt that sits just on my hips( will take a little bit to get used to ) he gave me tips on ways to minimise pain getting in and out of bed , car , sitting standing. he asked me to do a core exercise , i started to do a crunch:laughing:
This was wrong !! So i have heaps of exercises and instructions , no stairs , no mopping , no vacume among other things , I now waddle like a duck and am only allowed to take small strides when i walk , quack quack!! Also he gave me a massage and i had to be very in control ( it hurt!!! )
I am going back to on Tuesday
Kys babe if you are in loads of pain see a physio quick smart!!! I already feel better from the bellt .
Oh and i was worried cos i am a little cuddly that it was because of the loose fats . but physio said that even athletes can get it , and that pregnancy is harsh on the body...
he says i will be better in 5-6 weeks and it will make my labour easier once it has been corrected:yelclap:
Hi Girls!
Oh I am so jealous of those of you that have no pain, sometimes it takes me a few minutes to get up. The pain is excrutiating!
I had my appointment with my midwife this morning (I love her!!!) and she does think I have SPD (symphisis pubic dysfunction) and that is why I'm in agony. She said it is kinda common this early in twin pregnancies (well it's common in normal pregnancy but you get it later on) because of how fast the bubbas are growing and since mine are big she's not surprised. So (like Cazz) I have to go and see a physio next week and get fitted with a support band. Fun!
Everything else is going very well though... my blood pressure etc is perfect. Both heartrates strong. She really put my mind at ease, all the pain and discomfort is all part of normal pregnancy and apparently I should be very pleased with how I'm going. Particularly to be having two larger babies at my age. She also said that it is now more than likely I will be having a c section because they are both breach, because of the SPD and my age. That's fine, I'm happy as long as they come out healthy.
My DH has been a godsend! We're getting carpet put in tomorrow so alot had to be done around the house to get it clean and he has done all of it, with absolutely no complaining! Such a good man, I really don't give him enough credit!! :valentine:
I hope you girls are well! God I want a cupcake!!! xx
Cazz – That’s great that you now know what’s causing your pain and hopefully the physio can sort it out and you can be pain free in no time . Anything is worth a try if they say it will help make labour a bit easier.
Naards – I’m sure the support band won’t be a problem, especially if it helps with the pain. Excellent news that the twinnies are doing so well :yelclap:! At least with a c-section everything is planned and you have an actual date for when your bubbas will be born. What a good DH you have, he’s probably not game enough to complain to a pregnant woman ! Now go and get yourself a cupcake, lol!
Having heaps of movement today, strong kicks so I think Bubby is line dancing in there ! Now is the time I need that womb window !

Hey gals
Naards , great news about Harry and Larry's size , Oh and your health woo hoo..
Yes the band will take a lil time to get used to , but instant releif you shall get.
What a great DH , mine is fantastic also , when we got the paper that said no vacume , no mopping , he
goes well i do vacume now so i will do other stuff also :valentine:Yeah I also read that Csections were common
especially with twins , wow not long now and you get to meet Harry and Larry.
Nah no cupcakes for me , All though I did have an italian jam donut YUMMO!!! I am still incredibly crazy about jam and strawberry stuff!!
Musk ,Great to hear bubs has taken up line dancing , Yeah womb window is a fantastic idea!!
Cg , did you get your muffin??
I am relaxing on couch i took off the support belt while i am lazing on couch , Logy is kickin up a storm
seems more busy and buzzy at night ... Dh felt him kick for real last night:smiliedance:
Meg , belly casting kit sounds like loads of fun , Good luck ! Will have to let us know how it turns out.

Naards- Good news about the twins!! I am so so sorry you are having a hard time with your pain. I hope you do get relief! :hugs:
OMG cupcakes!! I am glad i baked up a storm on Monday! Muffins hmmm... ! I am having one of those days where I just cannot be satisfied and just need to eat!! Yesterday was the opposite though. Balancing out perhaps?
Musk- hehe.... line dancing!! I love country music!! I swear Snoopy is doing somersaults!! I am excited about moving. Especially now that ADF has let DH hold back a week so we can spend our anniversary together before he leaves.
Meg- Belly cast sounds AWESOME!!!! Cannot wait to see pics!
Window in our tummy's!! Awesome I love it!!
I had my OB appt today... Snoopy's HB is 146bpm.... I am measuring correctly and Snoopy is still measuring one week ahead! I was told he* has long legs!! That does not surprise us though with DH being 6ft 9".
Have to have another scan at 32weeks but I am sure I can manage that
Does anyone freak out when they wake up on your back?? I woke up the other night on my:laughing:back and was like... "argh!!!"
Mincazz- Glad Logan is behaving!! Just relax now and supervise DH doing the housework!!
Gillie and Peachy CG, - Hello!!
Have I missed anyone? Argh! Personals on an empty stomach = not accurate!!
mincazz79
21-04-2010, 19:48
Kiz , wonderful news about dh staying another week yay!!
I never realty seem hungry cept when cravings hit or I get dizzy!!
Long legs hehe tall bubs
yeah I wake up on my back alot and totally freak! But the physio was saying today that you will always turn because it feels high pressure in chest and generally uncomfortable , I put pillows behind my back so if u end up on back I am elevated if course this was for pain but realised last night that it means my pelvis ends in a tilt which isn't such a bad thing !! Worst would be I'd ur a tummy sleeper ouch!!
Cazz, glad you've got things sorted... good for you DH doing the housework... I swear mine would just get left lol
Naards, glad all is going well and the twins are a good size...
It was DH's b'day today and boy oh boy did Emma love the choc birthday cake... I have pics up on FB if you want to add me... my user name is Bec Telek...
Not much else happening here.

Cobbec - Oh I love the first few times babies get chocolate its hilarious my nephew went crazy this easter with his first choccie egg it was soooo cute
Cazz - Wish I didn't get hungry I'm hungry all the time I'm amazed I haven't put any weight on yet cause I eat ALL day EVERY day :p
Mac - Long legs how gorgeous I think mine will come out a midget cause I'm only 5ft 2 and DH is 5ft 6 so height definitely is not on poor 'Hermie's' side
AFM - Well we did the belly cast last night it was hilarious DH took great care casting the boosie area I had to keep reminding him that it was the tummy we were really after :D but it has turned out great I have to leave it to dry for about 3 - 5 days then paint the hardener on and then Ill take some pics and put. My girlfriends want to hang it on the front door for my baby shower so everyone knows which house to come to I'm not so sure about this one :p

Morning gals,
great news about belly cast, hands up who wants one??HAHA that would look funny on the door, I could just imagine the strange looks of passers by!!
bec oh that is soo cute mmm choccy!!
Meg , yeah well you need to eat!!! Hehe
bubbas needs all the nutrients
the worst thing is I forget to eat and then feel really Ill, I need to remember to eat!!
I am at the moment at hospital cafe eating porridge with sultanas, fruit salad and apple juice worst hunger pains this morning!!!
23 weeks today!!!!
Btw is anyone else snoring ? Dh says I am terrible !! I have sinus issues so maybe that's it or maybe it's the centre of gravity !!
Don't think can eat fruit salad to filling porridge, hmm maybe fruit for later!!
learn to eat!!
FruitBowl

I think the belly cast on the door is an awesome idea!!! You should do two for everyone to sign one!!
Bec- How cute your little one and Chocolate!! I am glad you all had a good time!
Mincazz- You are a good girl eating your porridge and fruit, I am impressed!! I do not think I am snoring any heavier than my normal light snore. It is DH who I have to shove all the time!! I am having trouble sleeping though, getting comfy then DH breathing on me and his breath stinks so I feel sick.. lol..
My lower back has been killing me too!
YAY for 23 weeks!! I looked at my ticker yesterday and I am like OMG!! 15 weeks to go!!!
Bubs is transverse atm using the edge of my placenta as a pillow.
Hmmm fruit salad!! I should stop lounging about today (first day home all day!) and actually clean!
Kiz – That’s excellent that you and DH can spend your anniversary together. Sounds like Snoopy is going great, we have another scan at 32 weeks to which I am looking forward to. I wake up quite a bit on my back and think ‘oh crap’ and then roll over, lol! Apparently there is a nerve that runs up the right side of our backs and it’s when babys weight is on it we can get numb or tingling hands/fingers. I think it is ok until we hit the third trimester when bubs is getting bigger. I have given in before and just laid there cause is was so comfy !
Cobbec – I bet Emma had cake everywhere, lol! It is so cute seeing little ones eat cake for the first time.
Meg - about putting your belly casting on the front door! That would be a sight for the neighbors, lol!
Cazz – Yum porridge! I don’t snore but DH has told me that I talk in my sleep :o, I have done so for ages so nothing new there, lol!
AFM – I have now booked into our antenatal classes which run for two consecutive Saturdays plus our BF class is on a Saturday as well. So we have a class on each Saturday for the first three weeks in June ! I hope my brain can handle it all, lol!

Hey again
Meg , hmm smelly feet . ould be that when you are preggers you overheat which could mean sweating , try peppermint footspray or teatree oil .its good gor feet ..
Haha nay friday is tomorrow , BIg boss cam ein be4 and asked me if I was coming back after bubs , I said yes , Cos you know maybe I will , But request to work in back office , all depends on the cost of childcare.
I dont know I cant even hear myself snore!!
we have a spare room also , perhaps I will sleep in there.
he he he you girls crack me up!!! Today is offically Thursday but it is technically my Friday... :smiliedance::smiliedance: Off for my 80's New Romantics fix in Sydney tomorrow... so excited!!!
Kiz, I agree with Meg (of course not the it's Friday bit ;)) don't even stress about it... take it easy, there's no rush for anything.
Meg, I'm with you on the smelly feet... I took my shoes off at the osteo and was sooo embarrassed!!! Tried to tuck them under the chair but the smell made it's way out of there.. I also have smelly armpits... well actually not 'pits' but rather 'pit'. I have always had one smelly armpit of death and it's come out in full force! I was lying back in bed the other day with my arms behind my head and I thought 'jesus what the hell is that smell!!' well it was my evil right pit!!!! And I'd only been lying around in bed ie. not over exherting myself in the slightest! I could have passed out! I wonder if they make super dooper 'hot mumma' deodorant??
Hmmm snoring... well I have always been a snorer (do not under any circumstances tell my DH that I have admitted to that!) so I would say that yes it has probably gotten worse. Although perhaps now that I only sleep on my side it's better?? DH hasn't complained... perhaps he values his life! :p As for the sleep talking well I am a terrible sleep talker AND walker! DH thinks it's hilarious that he can ask me absolutely anything when I'm sleeptalking and I'll answer... makes it very hard to keep a secret! As a child I also sleep walked alot... when I was about 8 I sleep walked across the road and asked if my friend could come for a swim (yep imagine an 8 year old with her yellow swimmers on, towel over her shoulder asking if her friend can come for a swim at 3 in the morning :o) but I didn't only do this once... try three nights in a row! I will never ever live that one down.. he he
Musk, that's fantastic that you're all booked in. Argh I keep forgetting to book into my BF classes! I really have to ring the Canberra Multiple Birth association and find out when theirs are. I feel so disorganised!
I hope everyone is well!! xx

:laughing::laughing:naards wow how the mind boggles , how on earth did u manage to put swimmers on while asleep!!

Bf class a full day on 17/6

I have a question:

22-04-2010, 16:58

ChickenGirl
22-04-2010, 18:08
Naards - That is hilarious! About you sleepwalking and about your pit . So jealous that it's your Friday.
I have been smelling a little too lately - feet (Meg) and pits and I usually don't get any. So let's just put it down to a) hormones b) super spidey smell and c) being warmer and sweating more.
Plus, since starting IVF I've only used crystal deodorant (no smell) so that could be contributing.
Meg - can I come on your babymoon weekend to the coast? So jealous!
Cazz - I'm finishing up at 34 weeks, well that's when my paid mat leave starts. If I'm not well, I can use sick leave. I'll be taking 14 months off (9 @ half pay) and the rest with no pay so I need to bring in as much as I can before bub. So, only paid leave for me until bub comes.
Mac - Why wouldn't you go to the Demons? I would! I've been to a live show of RockWiz which was awesome! Squishy loved (or hated) it  And we've got tickets to Jimmy Barnes and the Black Sorrows in a few weeks for my birthday! I just take a jumper to pad out my tummy and hopefully dull the noise a little.
So many of us booked in to our classes! Hooray! So much fun.
After craving cake ALL DAY yesterday and not having any. I went spastic when I got home and baked choc-chip muffins, orange and poppy seed muffins AND and apple tea cake. OMG....delicious. That's what I get for not satisfying my craving sooner.
Tofu stirfry for dinner tonight - last night of DH on night shift for another fortnight.
Everyone looking well pregnant by now I guess?

i just remember being preggers with Ash and if logan is posterial i know what backache and pain i will get.
Dh and i agreed on either end of may or start of june , but if I can I will try and stay until the end of june:)
My work doesn't pay mat leave... I will try to hang out til the end of July but will see whats happening.
I have booked into a VBAC class, birth classes and bf class... We never made the birth classes with Emma and I have yet to be successful with BF.

Hi ladies!
Wow this thread ran away from me very quickly. We’ve been sooo busy this week that I missed clicking on an update email from bubhub, then wondered why everyone had been so quiet for a couple of days. Checked tonight, and you have all been chatting away but I wasn’t getting updates because I hadn’t clicked on the last one, doh! So here I am, and I’m finally recovered from the rage of losing my last big post that I did, so I am going to attempt another one.
Musk, I love that bub was kicking the Doppler off your stomach! I can feel the baby moving heaps, but not strongly enough to feel from the outside yet. Definitely no Doppler-kicking problems around here!
Chickengirl, yep I am with Ed QLD. I am only on a contract for this year so I have to take ALL my paid maternity leave THIS YEAR because you can’t be granted paid maternity leave past the end date of a contract. I get 14 weeks paid leave, so if I took it at full pay that would mean going on maternity leave about a week before bub is due (obviously ridiculous) or if I took it at half pay for 28 weeks (ALL of which has to be taken THIS YEAR remember!) it would mean going on maternity leave at the end of next week!! I’m only 21 weeks pregnant, so the thought of taking my maternity leave now is even sillier than the full pay option of taking it at 39 weeks! Both are obviously out. So what I have chosen to do is take a combination of full pay and half pay. I want all of terms 3 and 4 off, so term 3 will be full pay and term 4 will be half pay (because by then we’ll also have the baby bonus payments to supplement my half pay. It works out about the same for each term). The half pay/full pay combination means I’ll officially be going on maternity leave at 32.5 weeks, but because of the school holidays being immediately before I start my leave, I will actually be exactly 30 weeks on my last day of work! Yay! Sounds really soon, BUT realistically since I have had this pelvic girdle pain since I was five weeks pregnant, and its getting progressively worse, I doubt I’d last much past 30 weeks anyway. What birth skills book are you referring to? Who is the author? Is it any good?
Naards, yay! Enjoy your girls weekend away! I know what you mean about pain, I am in agony whenever I have to… let’s see… get out of bed, sit up in bed, roll over in bed, climb stairs, lift one leg at a time to put on pants, bend over to pick anything up off the ground or reach something on a low shelf, stand for more than a few minutes, walk more than a couple hundred metres at a time… I have almost forgotten what full mobility and pain free living felt like! I am definitely going to have to go see a physio I think. Re the caesarean, I was told that because of my thicker padding, they MIGHT not get great reception on the strap-on heart rate monitors they use during labour to monitor that bubs isn’t in distress. This would mean that if bubs WAS in distress they might not know it and just continue with the labour normally. Possible result – stillborn baby. Shocking thought. I have said yeah well if it DOES turn out that they can’t determine bubs’ level of distress during labour then wheel me into the operating ward because I am taking NO risks.
Hi Peachy! You and me both, I read this forum every day (almost) when at work but am too busy to respond from work. I always promise myself I’ll respond from home, but hardly ever get the time. I am also very uncomfortable at night, I have been sleeping so badly. I get up to pee, I have bad dreams, I toss and turn, and with my hip issues that is EXCRUCIATING.
Mincazz, I know how you feel about money and bills coming in. We’ve just had to borrow a few thousand $$ from my parents because all our bills started pouring in at once and I freaked out. We applied to refinance our home loan (to get rid of credit cards we racked up doing IVF and from taking time off work last year after the miscarriage – I took two months off work, couldn’t function as a human for so long). Well the bank said yes your incomes are very high compared with when you bought 2 years ago, your house has risen in value by $100K in that time, everything is great etc. Then they declined our refinance based on the fact we had credit cards. “But we’re going to consolidate them and get rid of all our bad debt!” we cried. They didn’t care. They are so so so strict with lending now. So we’ve made the decision to sell our house and buy a smaller, cheaper property. So bub will likely never see the beautiful nursery we painted and decorated. I cry thinking of selling, I love my house, and our first bub is buried in the front garden with a stone marking her grave under her tree. I can’t bear to lose our house, but we can’t afford our current mortgage AND our other debts now, let alone if I was to go back to work only part time which I am determined I will do. I am toying with the idea of digging bub’s little box up and bringing her with us, but not sure if the box would come open if we tried that (couldn’t bear it if that happened) or if that’s grave desecration? If we leave her, the new owners will almost certainly pull out her garden and tidy it up anyway (it’s pretty over-grown) so they may find the little china box we buried her in and open it, and I couldn’t bear that thought either. I don’t know what to do. I wish we’d put her in a pot plant, but at the time that seemed wrong. Oh now I am crying just thinking about it :( . But really we have no choice. We can’t stay here. Oh money problems really suck don’t they… I hope yours aren’t as bad as ours are.
Meg, enjoy your babymoon at Palazzo Versace! I was looking up their website on the weekend because their spa does special pregnancy massages, and they have a “mothers day” special for every weekend in May. Two nights accommodation, high tea, buffet breakfast, champagne (for the DHs I guess LOL) and a spa treatment, all for just under $1000. Considering how expensive Palazzo Versace is normally I thought this was a really bargain! A bargain we can’t afford, but if we had the money spare I’d be doing it for sure! Have fun, I am so jealous, can’t wait to hear all about it!! Love the idea of putting belly cast on the front door, wonder if that would be good feng shui? Bringing good baby vibes through into your home?? LOL
Mrs Mac, don’t worry about waking up on your back. I have been doing it too and I never ever sleep on my back normally. I asked OB about it and he said lying on your back does NOTHING to hurt the baby, it affects the mother, and we’d know it was affecting us because we’d start to feel a bit light-headed or dizzy whilst lying there. If we were asleep we’d either move or wake up (not pass out or anything!) and if we were awake we’d definitely move before it got too bad because we’d be uncomfortable. He said it’s really nothing to worry about.
Bec, good to see you back here! Must be so busy with a little one, and another little one on the way, whew you must be tired! How funny seeing little Emma go nuts over chocolate. I am an Emma too, and I am also a chocoholic, so it must be in the name LOL :D
AFM well I am super excited that we get a three day weekend this weekend, gosh I need it so badly. Then next week I have only a two day week because on Thursday we are off to Hamilton Island for my brother’s beach wedding. I still need to get something to wear, will be hard finding something that fits bump nicely and is the right balance between formal and beach casual. I don’t want to be mistaken for a beached whale and have the coast guard called by accident LOL. We get back from Hamilton Island next Sunday (so only gone for three nights, all we could afford!) and luckily Monday is Labour Day holiday here so I can ‘recover’ from the weekend away before going back to work! Then luckily it’s only a three day week because the Thursday is show day holiday for us, so yay I have a two day week and then a three day week coming up. Going back to five day weeks will be a shock to the system after that!
We had our morph scan today and bub is doing great! Measuring about a week ahead, heart rate steady on 144 every time we hear it, perfect! We didn’t find out the sex but I think the technician slipped up because both DH and I spotted a bump between the legs of bub. I think bub is a boy, so naturally I thought it was a boy-bits sized bump, DH thinks bub is a girl so he thinks it was a modest little girly-bits bump. I asked the technician if there was any chance we’d spot bub’s bits by accident and she said no, but then when she printed off the pics she’d taken she printed them all EXCEPT the one which me and DH think showed the bits. So we’re a bit annoyed that she didn’t take better care because we expressly said we didn’t want to find out, but luckily the quick look we got was inconclusive so the surprise isn’t completely ruined.
This is a quick 5 second 4D clip of bub: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlPqeHvUmxU left hand is up beside the face playing with the nose, and bub yawns at one point too, awww cute :goodvibes:
Gosh I am sleepy now and hands are aching from typing. Bub hub better not lose THIS post or I’ll really lose it!!!
Hi all well had my OB app yesterday got a bit frustrated cause the only answer I got for all my questions was a dull look on his face lol Addyson is still in the breech position Dr goes I don't understand why she wants to stay that way she has room to move I responded my be she doesn't like standing on her head lol he said my Bh are nothing to worry bout because her head is not down there and with my lovely back nerves well grin and bear it lol Ill give him grin and bear and to top it all of now my blood presure keeps dropping so I'm getting dizzy all the time this sucks well at least I got away with the first 5 months with just tiredness.
Last night I spoke to my ever so sweet DH I said to him I think he will need to come home sooner rather than later he says I can't leave my guys without a SGT and leave the next guy in line to run his team I then said excuse F*** them I'm carrying yr child which makes me more important I need you more than anything lol men they just don't get it sometimes.
Sorry bout the rant :ecomcity:

Cobec yeah I know the feeling I am the same can only stay as long as I can;)typing quickly in bed on iPhone so if spelling mistakes don't worry.
Bella, I'm not sure we are trying to refinance now, that sux can u try a diffrent bank , a credit union may he more relaxed !
But it's ok if u have to sell a house is just a shell , you and dh and bubs will make changes but then it will be all ok;)
in relation to bubs you could take her with you, perhaps ask a family member to help you ;) she should come with you also.I think it's ok as it's your land.
That plan with mat leave sounds like the best. I know ivf took alot of our money also . But the beauty of life is we can build thar up
again!! If we have to change homes it's ok , it's all a path, I remember a few years ago we were so much debt, couldn't afford the mortgage . We moved interstate , rented and got another house it's a big cycle . It's ok we are all here for you;) it's great you can afford a smaller house and to pay debt , then their are no more nasty credit cards to have to worry about. You and dh will be free to enjoy eachother and bubs, you never know the vulva can appear very enlarged also ;) in regards to pain get looked at, I am going public so physio was free!!! It's going to take time to get better but it's ok.
I hope you have a wonderful week and that the angels send you loads of happy news and luck !!

Hello lovely ladies!!
What a weekend so far!! Crusty Demons was awesome! I never thought we would enjoy it and Saturday morning DH and I were debating whether or not to go, but free tickets so we decided too. Now DH wants a trail bike!
So many unsavory people were there though and the people weren't really our scene but the entertainment was good! We were on the grassed area and there was a mum and two little boys sitting behind us and we had our blanket spread out and I had my pillow (for my back comfort!) and one of the little boys kept creeping onto my mat beside me, practically pushing me over to let him! I did not mind much but when his mum spread out the corner of OUR blanket so he could lay down a little that is when DH said something! The mum also lit a cigarette :barf: and was not even smoking it! She lit it and placed it down on the ground and let it go for ages! It seriously made me sick. Plus her other little boy was sitting right beside it..
The person in front of us was smoking as well and so were the people to our left. An announcement was made half way through stating no smoking so the people to our left decided to move but left ALL of their rubbish there! It was disgusting!
DH smokes but he had the decency to wait for the interval and go to the smoking area!!
Sorry crusty demons rant over..
Anzac day was lovely, I watched DH march and took photos as this is his last march as an active servicemen. It was very emotional actually. Then DH surprised me and took me to lunch afterward and then he hired some movies and we relaxed all afternoon and cuddled on the couch. I think he has realized we have not that much time left together before he goes.
Today we plan to do a little housework and to wash his uniforms and I am meeting a really good friend for lunch today. This afternoon DH wants to take me to go and buy a nappy bag! :yelclap:
I have been getting quite a few Braxton's this weekend though and annoying!!
I hope everyone else is having a lovely weekend! Will be on here a little bit this morning while waiting for washing!!
Cazz- Did you sickness get better?

:)hey gals
Kiz , crusty demons sounds great! But I guess you get that!! rudeness and skankyness, abs drives me crazy when people light up smokes right near you , i makes me get asthma and i wanna vomit.
Dh marching would have been good , wow his last active march.!! , great news that you spent quality time together , My dh did his back in ( an old car accident wound that keeps flaring up from when he was 22) so he was laid up in bed for most of the weekend. Enjoy your lunch , sounds like a nice plan.
Braxton hicks are annoying i just ignore them
AFM , Yeah food ummm , still liking jam!! I am now able to eat something other than white bread , but if I eat the wrong thing I am in trouble :barf:
I guess it is just a matter of trying it , and if i cant eat it then i just cant!! bit of a shame though !!
Butt is still killing me , i had to mop yesterday , i know I am not spose to , god it killed afterwards, Dh was going on and on about his back and I was like umm excuse me i am in agony and i have to push a watermelon out in 16 weeks !! at least his back gets better after 3 days!! LOL
Ok well enjoy , hope everyone else is well

Hi my lovely ladies!!!
Sorry I have been MIA over the last week, ive just had a very blah week, and then was off sick Thurs and Friday (which I am sure I will get tutts over tomorrow!) and I have just stayed away from the computer! Feeling much better now though so I am bbaaaccckkk!! I prob won't be great with personals because I have missed sooo much! But I will do my best, might just give my thoughts on a few of the topics raised instead lol!
Firstly, you girls have a LOT to answer for! I log in this morning, read all these posts about yummy cakes and sweets and baking and I said to DH right, I have to bake cupcakes today :laughing: So I have just taken my chocolate cupcakes out of the oven and they smell DIVINE!!!! I was soo annoyed I couldn't lick the bowl lol. DH of course stepped up to the plate and licked the spoons for me, and I am sure the furbaby would have obliged as well, given the chance lol. I want to try Meg's slice with the jelly - yuummmoooo, I am no Betty Baker, and my cupcakes are courtesy of White Wings, but I will give things a go lol!
Bella...I feel for you having to sell your house after putting in so much work. In relation to your precious little angel...I would definitely take her with you. It will probably be so hard to do, but I think if you have some help and just take it very slow, she will be safe. You and DH love her and have a right to have her with you. If you do take her, is there anyway you can...um...put her in another form of memorial? Like another kind of wooden or china box? I don't know, I certainly don't want to upset you or speak out of turn, I have tears in my eyes just thinking of your decision and am sending you sooo many cyber hugs. But you will be able to rebuild again, and a house as such is just bricks and mortar, your 'home' is where you, DH and your bub is. That's what's most important.
The whole debt thing is sooo hard. I really can't see us every buying a property. How on earth are we going to get 50 or 60K in the bank for a 10% deposit??? Certainly not in Sydney anyway! We are putting all my wage into getting my credit card and a couple of other debts paid off before I go on mat leave, but they won't be paid off in full that's for sure! We need to get a "family car" which is more money we have to find, and its just never ending and so incredibly stressful. We have started going to Flemington Markets in Syd on a Sat morning to get our fresh fruit and veges - its a bit of a rat race but my god, when you spend 70 cents on a bag of beans (enough to feed us for a couple of meals), $1 a kg for carrots, $3 for a decent bag of potatoes, we come away generally having spent around $10 for our veges, maybe a bit more. But we only need to take coins with us!! I don't think we have broken a note yet! You can't do that at Woolies! They also have a butcher there (in a separate area) and their meat is reasonably priced, and we went to Aldi today and bought a few things to try, and they also have a pretty reasonable butcher next door, so I think with a bit of planning and organisation, we can at least decrease our food bills! I don't think you can ever avoid the big supermarkets, but we are going to try as much as we can to save money.
Kyster - i agree - men just don't get it sometimes, particularly those in "that" job lol. You definitely need him more than the guys over there and should be a priority! Your OB sounds like he needs a bit of a humour check lol
Well I put in my mat leave last week (don't know if I mentioned that before). As Bert will be born latest 38 weeks, I have put in to leave at 34 weeks, which is 2 July (all going well)!!!!!! Am taking 7 months at this stage, so back in Feb, but will hopefully extend it out to 12 months, as I really don't want to put Bert in day care at 6 months, and I also don't want to rely on mum for 3 days a week so early on. But we will just have to play it by ear. Woo hoooo I can't bloody wait. It will be a busy time until then, as one of the girls in my team is going to China for a month over May/June and she backs up my work, and we will have about 2 weeks handover when she gets back. She will then take over my work when I go. So Bert is under strict instructions to stay put until then! (a) I don't want him coming early, and (b) I need the pay packets!!! I am already losing one by taking the early 2 weeks - eek - but that's the way it is and that's just going to be fine! I get 8 weeks paid leave - 4 weeks when you first go and then you have to come back from leave for a month, and then you get another 4 weeks (paid over 2 fornights).
We had a good long weekend - yesterday we went to the Dawn Service at our local RSL club, as DH alternates the years he marches, and he marched in the Syd march last year with his Sqn, then we came home for a sleep and headed to another RSL in the afternoon for the Magpies/Bombers match! Needless to say DH was VERY happy with the result lol. Anzac day is DH's day every year so whatever he wants to do, we do, which is fine. I tell you though, Bert is one patriotic football loving little Mac lol. All through the Dawn Service he was going NUTS, he honestly didn't stop! And then at the RSL in the arvo he was sooo active during the footy, then when they were at quarter times he went quiet, then when they came back he started up again lol. Definite future Magpie on board, much to DH's delight lol.
Anyway I have rambled on soo much, I might go and ice my cupcakes (thanks girls :D) and have them for dinner lol.
Big  to everyone I have missed, I will make more of an effort this week to keep up to date!
Oh, and I am definitely up for the mobile number swapping thingy! Also, if anyone wants to catch up on facebook let me know and I will PM my details. Bec, I am going to go back and find your previous message and try and add you!
xoxo

Oh and PS Cazz - stop mopping lol. Rest yourself young lady!
Hi Girls!
I hope everyone had a lovely weekend!
Kiz it sounds like you had a wonderful weekend! It would have been emotional seeing DH marching in his last march as an active serviceman. How special being involved in something so wonderful! So what nappy bag did you get??
Cazz, naughty!!! You know you're not allowed to mop! I can imagine you were in pain afterwards!
Bella, I'm so sorry you're in this position... money really is the root of all evil! And don't feel bad (well don't take it personally I guess I mean) about being knocked back for the refinance, apparently hardly anyone is getting approved at the moment. A lady I went away with on the weekend's husband is a mortgage broker and the banks just aren't loaning the money anymore. He got 5 millions dollars worth of loans knocked back in just this year alone. I hope everything works out for you honey. So glad that your morph scan went well! And yeah I think honestly that girl bits can look quite a bit like boy bits too... we have our 3D scan tomorrow so will be confirming Harry and Larry's sex.
Kys, boys can be so inconsiderate! They don't think before they open their mouths! I think also that because the baby is not with them 24/7 like they are with us that they just don't think. I hope he comes to his senses and realises that you are the top of his priority!
Hi to everyone else!
AFM, well we just had a wonderful weekend in Sydney! It started with the Spandau Ballet and Tears for Fears concert... I've added a piccie of Harry and Larry's first concert here he he http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/album.php?albumid=2136&pictureid=10812
Then we went for a long lazy lunch on Saturday down at Circular Quay and spent the night at the apartment with Just Dance on the Wii (was hilarious!). Then on Sunday we ventured down to chinatown.. we got on the monorail and I had my very first experience of a gentleman getting up for me!!! Well I was very exciting about that to begin with but it turns out that gentleman was Nathan Cayless, captain of Parramatta!!! How good is that!! :D Not that I had any idea of who he was though.. :o
So anyway got home last night and have been sick with a cold/sinus since... but the lovely surprise is how much work DH has done since I've been away! Because we got carpet he not only moved stuff out of the way but put everything back and cleared out nearly a whole miniskip of stuff at the same time! And he picked up our cots!! God bless him! I'm so lucky to have him...
I hope everyone is well! xx

Oh Naards soo jealous! I love my 80's bands - would loved to have gone! We saw Go West when they came out.. but we really only went because Pseudo Echo and Paul Gray were supporting and Bert, of course, is Paul Gray's love child and my nephew is Brian Canham's love child :laughing:, we left about 4 or 5 songs into Go West lol. Sounds like you had a fantastic weekend! When you said a man, a Sydney man at that, got up for you, i was thinking are you sure you are in Sydney lol. Are you sure it was a man lol. That just doesn't happen up here  How cool that it was Nathan Cayless! Nathan Cayless warm bum seat lol what a good man DH is!
Oh Kiz I meant to post something about DH's march, that must have been so incredibly emotional for you. Its wonderful that he is here for his last Anzac Day as an active serviceman.
Kiz – Glad you enjoyed the crusty demons, even though the people around you were very inconsiderate. It’s good that you and DH were together for his last march as an active serviceman, I'm sure you were very proud of him. Did you end up getting a nappy bag?
Cazz - :shame: for mopping! I hope you had a rest are feeling better.
Gillie – I agree! With a bit or research and planning we can save a bit of money here and there. I buy our fruit and veggies from a market as well and I get a few weeks worth for about 15 bucks, bargain! We are also going to cut back a bit on our internet account and also our foxtel, every little bit counts . Woo hoo for mat leave!
Naards – Yay for Harry and Larry’s first concert, you look smashing! Glad you had a great girls weekend and by the sounds of it DH was a busy little bee, lol! Like Gillie said, you gotta love a warm seat from a footy players butt !
Well, we have sold our house! The house we are buying needs a lot of work done to it, we can do the essentials before moving in, which is great. When we actually move in I will have about 8 weeks to go  so that is a bit scary! We have a lot of people who have offered to help us, which I think I’ll appreciate more than I know! I think it will take me about a week to clean just the inside! I’m pretty sure there will be a nice warm bath after each day to ease the sore bits! I promise you girls I will take it easy ;).
The Pregnancy Babies and Children’s Expo is on in Sydney, I am going on Friday, so only three days of work this week for me, woo hoo! If you are interested go to www.pbcexpo.com.au (http://www.pbcexpo.com.au/) you can even print off a free ticket. The expo is on in other states but at different times.

it doesnt matter as you say its just a shell!! in the end with or without it , you still have eachother
some people have loads of debt and mortgages , i see it all the time where i work and we just cannot borrow them'more.
I think it all stems from keeping up with the jones sometimes. But what can you do??
Its not out of reach Gillie ,just for the moment.wow market sounds cheap!! Limiting us to 200 a fortnight cos we are all
very naughtty and dont eat half the stuff we buy!!
Your anzac day sounds great, fancy lil bert loving footy already . man watch out!!
Kys ,Man , men sometimes need a good kick up the bum!!! How are you feeling? I hope a little less sore. Yes addy may just be comfy that way , I carried Ash posterial , man mega backpain!!

How is everyone else?? Rearing to go , yay 4 day week!! :yelclap:
Hi Girls!
I thought I'd pop in quick and let you know that our 3d scan went very well last night. We got to see two clear pictures of Harry and Larry's faces, so cute!!! We also got to confirm that they are indeed two boys! And at one stage of the scan they were kicking each other and then had each other in a headlock... he he typical boys. It is so amazing to see that they interact like that even though there is a membrane between them. It was the most amazing experience though... almost surreal for me though, I still have a disconnect between what was on the screen and the fact that they are actually in my belly! Weird but awesome!!
I hope you are all well, I've been at home all week with a sinus infection but after a couple of days of AB's I seem to be getting better... all good.
Oh and I'll post some pics when we get them next week :D
megkeeley

Thanks to all of yr support I haven't heard from DH in a while hopefully he will call soon.
My back is still bad just have to put up with it I guess:hair:
Naards – Glad to hear that your scan went very well! Typical boys already mucking around lol! I hope you are feeling better, it really sucks not feeling well. Will be looking forward to seeing pics of your boys .
Meg – Hey, how have you been?
Kyster – I am so looking forward to the expo, my mum is coming with us as well. Hopefully it won’t be too long till DH calls. I feel for you having a sore back try and get some rest or maybe a nice warm bath might help.
Funny thing happened the other morning, I was lying on my side giving DH a cuddle and I could feel bubby moving around, when we got out of bed DH said to me that he could feel the baby move against his back :). I thought that it was quite cute.
It has been very quiet in here lately !

Hi gals , It looks like yesterday was my turn to have a terrible fright!!
It started out that I had some period like cramps which I ignored , I felt sick and dizzy at work , by the end of work , i felt like I was going to fall over , needless to say i ended up in emergency and then was taken up to maternity ., after many hours of tests and realising I had had some real contractions!!! they calmed down thanks god , dr was especially scared that I would birth and extremely prem baby , my blood pressure went from 100/84 to 118/94 my blood pressure is pretty much always consistent. So they think I have preclampsia , which I was told to vistit clinic next week and that I might need medication, spent last night tossing and turning and back and forth to the toilet ( maxalon and I do not like eachother)
So heres the thing , it was scary and the blood pressure does worry me , but should I go back to work tomorrow?? I need all the money that I can get , and the bp problems were not that bad or they would have given me meds then and there!!
The doctors and midwifes were amazing ( it wasnt even bu actual hospital)
but I do miss my specialist , i know we couldnt afford it , but he would know what to do :(
I am mostly just tired today!! the swelling in my fingers has gone down and I have managed to get my ring off.
Dr said apparently precalmsia occurs in pregnancies more than 10 years apart , lucky me .
Logan is fine his moving around and his heartrate was perfect.
Naards you scan sounds just beautiful cant wait to see pics soon.
Kys , i hope you hear from DH soon :) Try and rest:yes:
Musk , enjoy expo
anyone else
Cazz
Cazz, not good to hear about your scare honey! I hope you are OK. With work I wouldn't even know what to advise. Did the docs at the hospital give some advice?? I do understand that money is important but the health of you and your bubba is so much more important and preclampsia is nothing to sneeze at (but I know you know that). Perhaps your specialist wouldn't mind answering the question over the phone? Even though you are not through him/her? I presume you are referring to your fertility specialist? Surely you paid them enough through IVF that they can put your mind at ease? Might be worth a try?
Please take care..
mincazz79
29-04-2010, 12:57
hey
naards they didnt advise much except seeing the antenatal clinic and getting checked out , their was a mention of perhaps needing medication. yes I guess i could ask him, but i have also just spoken to clinic and everything will be faxed to them and they will call if needed. the thing is maybe with the fright of everything and just generally feeling unwell i got high blood pressure??
who knows , i am going to work tomorrow cos i will picked up and dropped off , I will def finish work sooner rather than later:) Thanks for caring.
gilliebean1
29-04-2010, 14:06
Oh Cazz, what an awful thing to go through! Maybe it could have been the stress that increased your BP, but don't assume that's the case because it very well may not be! In terms of work - hard call - the money side is so important but I agree with naards, yours and Logan's health is number 1. If you do go to work tomorrow, can you tell your bosses that you have had an issue and you need to take things slow and steady? At least then you can work but if they know then they can help you out if you need to leave early or go in late or have regular breaks, whatever you need. Def try and call your specialist - its worth a shot!
Musk - how funny that DH could feel bubs moving! Its just great at this stage, there is so much more happening that they can be part of now (even if it is just being kicked in the backside lol). We are heading to the expo on Saturday - i can't wait! DH just wants to get all the freebies , and I have told Bert if he behaves I might buy him a pressie lol Great news on selling your house too!:yelclap:
Kyster - hopefully DH calls you soon - must be awful not knowing when you are going to speak to him. You are one strong lady! I hope you start to feel better soon my dear :hugs:
Naards ohhhh how awesome about the 3d scan! Must have been soo surreal to see their little faces. And how sweeettttt that they were getting up to mischief in there too lol. Hope your sinus infection clears up soon!
AFM, not much happening, counting down till I leave this place lol - 9 weeks to gooooooo!!!!! After being off sick last week NEITHER of my bosses have really said boo to me, and our GM has been the same!!! Luckily the girls I work with are great and don't have an issue but still, I swear they think I just wake up in the morning and go nahhh, can't be bothered today!!! Lottery win where art thou???:D Bert is still being super dooper active which is awesome. DH went back to work yesterday and its the first time I have seen him nice and clean shaven since he got back lol. He turns into neanderthal man when he isn't at work and lets his beard grow - yuucckkkk!
Yeah so this weekend, Baby Expo for us on Saturday, dinner with friends on Saturday night and then not much on Sunday (Collingwood/Carlton game is on, so the world stops in our house!!)
We got our pics early!! Woohoo!!! I have loaded some here... http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/album.php?albumid=2230

Hi gals ,
Bec i went to tch , cos thats where I am working at the moment , But I am booked into Calvary. Yeah thats what I thought , That they would tell me when its time to stop , either that or my body would.
I am back at work today only doing a 4 hour shift , spoke to Dh last night and I am going to at least try and stay until 20th may , dh read the section on preclampsia in the baby book and asked me heaps of questions.
DD stayed home yesterday and took care of me , I felt bad because she should be at school , she has hurt her ankle the day before in girls fitness so i guess it wasnt that bad.
Had to take my rings off and I am now proudly wearing them around my neck.
I hope everyone is well , dh is finsihing early today and taking me home , Cant wait for the weekend.
Take care
Cazz:)

Cazz - glad to hear you are feeling a little better. Now you take it easy - nothing strenuous and don't push yourself, and if you start to feel dodgy again STRAIGHT TO HOSPITAL!!! Dr Gillie's orders lolol. That is so lovely that DD stayed at home to look after you. She sounds like such a lovely young lady! Logan is very lucky to have such a wonderful big sister!
Naards oh my god those pics are amazing, although I am thinking that young Harry is loving the attention juussttt a little bit lol  I am still amazed at the technology available these days, that you can actually 'see' your baby's face! And those legs! WOW!!!
I am going to ask my OB when my next scan is, my card says 29 weeks but I don't go back to see him for another 2 weeks, and its so hard to get an appt with Sydney Ultrasound at the last minute when I have to coordinate DH being there as well, I might just book in a time and get the referral when I see him. I can always cancel or change it I suppose. Hmm thinking out loud, sorry girls!

yea we have had a few...our OB has a looksie at each appointment but its not in great detail, he just checks the important things and the placenta now, but we still get to see Bert which is nice. The 18wk scan was our last big one, so I booked in for 21st May for the next one, just in case, which will be about 29 weeks.
Yeah go have a looksie Cazz for sure! Glad that Logan is making his presence felt after wednesday, so scary.

Hello!!
I swear I am busier now I am not working! Speaking of work... I finished two weeks ago.... The Regional Manager called to "see how i was" but then said how desperate she was as something has come up and she has no staff to open the store on Saturday. I was out at the time and I said, "It should be ok for me to do the open until someone comes." I really did not mind as the Regional has been very nice and good to me.
Got home and there quite plainly on my calendar was "BABYSITTING 7am- 10.30am" Opps!! So I called the RM and told her I cannot open sorry. She said that is ok, just open when you get there. I once again said yup no problem. She told me where the key would be etc etc. All sorted.
I then about half hour later got a voicemail from the manager saying, "Thanks anyway but blah blah is going to open now so your services are no longer required" I was like phhht... fine.
THen today at 1.30 in the afternoon I get a text from the RM asking me where I was as they needed me?! WTF?? I msg'd her back with the Mgr called and said "my services were no longer required" so I made other plans.
WHY??? Doesn't a resignation mean... NO MORE?!
Sorry had to get that off my chest... did not hear anything until 10 minutes ago when the RM text me back saying "Sorry love, must have been a misunderstanding from her end... blah was sick and blah was all by herself. Thanks anyway."
Why does that make me feel bad? ARGH!!!
OK... had to get that out.. be back in about 1/2 hr for personals.

Kiz , thats crazy , I too would have thought that to resign was to resign.
lol mnger sounds like an abs ***** , thats likes making trouble and going behind rmanagers back , It great that you said you would help!! But let them fight their own battles , No staff well tough then,
All you got out of the situation was a complete run around:yes:
Good to hear you are doin well
gilliebean1
02-05-2010, 11:41
Kiz I agree, no staff = not your problem! Resignation means that you don't work for them anymore. Its good that you are happy to help and I think that's a nice thing to do if you can, but really, if you say oh sorry I have other plans well that's your decision!! You don't owe them anything!! Don't feel bad, that manager of yours sounds like a right cow! I wish I knew where you worked in Darwin so if I ever went there I could intentionally boycott it lolol
Cazz sounds like you had a great day yesterday, nothing wrong with dodgy TV and an afternoon kip lol
Meg - love Hermie's responses! Its funny when they decide to get active! He was probably saying 'nooo mummy just a few more minutes' lol
Hope you enjoy the expo - we came away with soooo much information (and so many bloody bags!!) it was really great, and a few good samples to boot too! I found this really good little wrap up called a Woombie (hope I can put that on here?) thats like a stretchy cocoon sleeping bag thingy, but snug, not like the normal sleeping bags. They had a little baby fast asleep in one in the middle of the expo with people crowding around and so noisy and he looked totally content! So I think I am going to get a couple of them off their website to try, wouldn't mind having one for myself actually lol. We were there for a good 2 or so hours, I wanted to go back again today too lol
Also got lots of info from the Boobie feeding association, and also SIDS because I am soo paranoid about Bert sleeping in Summer because our house is SO hot (35 degrees outside = 35 degrees in bubs room!) and DHA refuses to install any kind of cooling system and normal fans do nothing. They were a bit shocked and said its not ideal, but gave us some good pointers on how to deal with it so I feel a bit more at ease. I am not looking forward to this Summer at all!!
Last night we had dinner with a couple of friends who we hadn't seen for ages, well DH had seen the bloke as they were on deployment together, but I hadn't seen his fiance since mid November as she went home to her parents in Melbourne while he was away. They bought us some lovely pressies and the cutest pair of little ugg like boots! My god they are gorgeous. Today is a day of rest, the Ma and Pa are coming over for a visit and to watch the Collingwood/Carlton match (DH is Magpies and Dad kinda goes for Carlton but not a fanatic, and will just want to razz DH up lol). Mum is making me a chocolate cake, so I will be happy lol
Ohhh Culture Club is on Video Hits!!
Gillie, we only have ceiling fans in our house and Emma was fine even on the hottest of days. She just slept in a short sleeve body suit, no sleeping bag or blankets.
Well I have painted the 1st wall in her and Abbi's room... just waiting for it to dry so I can 2nd coat it. Then to 1st coat the rest tomorrow night. We have a purple wall and the rest is a light pink... I also bought wooden letters to put above their cots for their names. Finally picked our pram today... we are definately getting the Mini City Jogger Double. It's the one we've liked from the start and have decided that it is the one.
Hope everyone has had a good wkend...

Hi gals
Ya i agree ceiling fans and open windows protected by flyscreens should be fine , all though I do find it gets alot hotter upstairs and we have aircon downstairs the 3 of us have spent many a hot summer night camped downstairs I guess the bubs will join us in this if its too hot, i guess the thought of wheeling bubs into the bathroom(coolest room in the house) may occur if needed. I remember seeing a thing like that once i think it was called a hugglebug. Great lots of movement
Great bec , I am sure the girls room will be gorg!!
Went to our maternity tour today , a hospital is a hospital really , the lady doing the tour didnt mention the fact they had birthing balls , mattresses and cushions ( i instead read this on a website afterwards)
All in all it was worthwhile going ! lots of pregnant people.
They told us really keen ladies can go home 6 hours after , but most people stay atleast 3 days , I laughed and said I will be the one wanting to go home , especially if i am stuck in a 4 bedroom. no offence to the other ladies . but home is def where I will feel more comfortable, we all of course hope for this labour where we go home and there are no complications , but I guess if I must I will stay longer:yes:

Thanks Cazz and Gillie it just really annoyed me that they made me feel that way. But all over now!
Cobbec- The room sounds gorgeous and the wooden letters above their cots is an awesome idea!
Cazz- Your visit sounds like it was enjoyable! I have not thought about how long I plan to stay in hospy, as long as I need too I suppose. Or until I am crazy and need to escape! lol.. I fell asleep last night after my rant! So tired lately. I have my GD test on Thurs.. so crossing fingers..
Gillie- Ohhhh hot!! I would be worried too in Summer. I am lucky where we are going, the house is constantly airconditioned however when it is cool enough "dry season" we all hang out mostly outside in the undercover area that mum has partially closed in and it is awesome!! Snoops will be spending nappy free time there!
Ohh the expo would have been AWESOME!! I am sooo jealous! Love the woombie idea, I am looking into Grobags.. but they are exxy.
Hi Meg! I am good thanks! Feeling all sorts of pains and cramps! Latest one is just under my boobs. Maybe bubs is kicking my ribs or something. Lots and lots of movement and the other day I panicked because i thought there was too much movement! HA! Never sane us lot are we? Glad Hermie and you are going ok!
Naards- GORGEOUS scan pics!!! LOVE THEM!! They are adorable! xx
Hi to Bella, Peachy and anyone else I have missed!! Sweet and Sour Pork tonight.. DH is cooking yay!!

Oh now I'm hungry! I better get my mac and cheese on the stove! Mmmmmmm
Kiz I notice the belly the most when I try to pull myself up to the table and then when trying to lean over my food to avoid getting all down me (unsuccessfully).... I am literally as wide width ways as I am sideways at the moment! he he I am seriously worried how I'll fit in the plane on Saturday!! :o

03-05-2010, 22:15
Haha, oh you girls are too funny  I totally agree with the bending... I have warned DH that the day is quickly approaching when he will be required for leg-shaving duties! Getting down that low to shave legs is currently causing a lot of grunting and panting. I'd let them go wild for winter but one of my pet hates is leg prickle, I just can't do it. I like my legs smoooooth!
Naards you will be fine on the plane (where are you going?) I just got back home yesterday after 4 days on Hamilton Island (not a babymoon, it was for my brother's wedding). I actually asked the attendant for a seat belt extender as I walked into the plane. Before I used it though I checked and the normal seat belt fit snug and comfortable just under my bump, but I still used it because having the extra length was sooo much more comfortable! You'll definitely be fine :) I was annoyed though when the lady in the seat in front of me reclined her chair though, the back of her chair ended up being about 10cm from my belly, way more snug than I liked!
The biggest bummer about Hamilton Island was that it was a destination wedding so everyone else is drinking wine, eating prawns, jet-boating, jet-skiing, walking around the island, having a merry old time, and here was I sipping my lemon lime and bitters and watching the action from my chair. BORING! I'd love to go back one day (with the kids of course :goodvibes: ) and experience the whole island properly! And as for walking, well with my hips/pelvis, can I just say THANK GOD FOR ALL THE LITTLE GOLF BUGGIES THAT EVERYONE USES TO GET AROUND!! :smiliedance:

Bella - It sux a bit watching from the sidelines but I do soak it up when everyone else gets my drink for me and tells me not to dare get up and help with the dishes etc...hehe lazy I know :p
Gillie - I have found myself sitting quite a few times with my knees in the 'open for business' position and needless to say they are definitely NOT open for business :D
Naards - Hahaha I was laughing imagining you thrashing and grunting in the middle of the night for the loo I'm kinda still at the rolling out stage but very soon I can see the grunting and thrashing beginning
Well I had to get DH to paint my toenails for me last night it was just to uncomfortable to reach them myself he did a stellar job didnt go out of the lines once unlike me who just paints half the toe and waits for it to wash off the non nail parts in the shower
