I would like to say a big congrats to all you lovely ladies out there who use cloth nappies. I'm guessing it would be hard work!!
I'm one of those people who just can not be bothered and am not afraid to admit it!!
So again I admire you all for putting in that extra effort!!

Thanks!
I find that chucking in an extra load of washing every 2nd day is far LESS effort than dragging my butt to the shops and forking out money for sposies.... but maybe that's just me :D

  my thought exactly. Dragging this old, fat and pregnant ar$e to the shops and then handing over DH's hard earned cash for something that is going to end up in the bin is waaaaaay harder than doing a load of washing.
I must say though that getting up the will power to stop buying cloth nappies is going to be hard work, lol.

I always have a supply of nappies so I don't ever have to make a dash!
Well for me disposables are much harder work...they don't contain DD's poo at all so I find myself scrubbing and soaking clothes, instead of chucking some nappies in a dry pail and throwing them in the wash every second day. So much easier!!!!!

Hey onelittlegirl - thanks for your kind sentiments.
From an ex-long-term 'sposie user and newly converted cloth user I must say I am loving the difference. It doesn't feel like too much extra work and the extra ca-ching is coming in very useful.

I don't see a load of nappies every few days as any extra effort.

Sorry for the compliment, I wont bother next time.
I think people were letting you (and other 'sposie users know) that it's not that much extra effort :) Don't be offended. :D
I'm not a clothie yet (greens are WAY TOO HUGE on Cobes) but I'll be sure to re-read your compliment when we start ;)

Why? Everyone is grateful for the compliment, its just that we dont really find it more work.

I said it because I was simply saying good on you all but then I feel like I'm shot down.
It upsets me when you try to pay a compliment and people think you are having a dig. I generally appreciate what clothie user's do and think that its great that you do use them.

Please dont feel shot down :hugs: I most certainly didnt see your thread as having a dig, i really hope others didnt either. Its great to be complimented on using cloth. In the "real world" ie, not bubhub, all i get is funny looks, questions of "why bother" etc when people realise we use cloth.
Once again :hugs: thanks for the compliment :)

I saw your thread as a true compliment! It didn't even occur to me that anyone would take it as anything else. As I said in my first post-thank-you. It is nice to be recognised for following my beliefs. Cheers.:hugs:
Agreed, no one was shooting you down!!! I think we were all just agreeing that it really doesn't feel like much extra work at all!!!
Sorry if you felt like none of us were appreciative! We are, well I am anyway! It makes up for people looking at you like you run around and hug trees in your spare time!

Hey onelittlegirl, I thanked you for your compliment. I appreciated your thoughts and want to say sorry if you feel "shot down". :hugs:
I guess what most of us said was "thanks and it really isn't that much work using cloth" - that's all I wanted to convey, anyway.:o
cheers
