Hi Emma,
I have heard that it can be common to have nose bleeds while pregnant. My friend who is (I think) about 26 weeks had really bad nose bleeds - and she had never had a nose bleed before in her life!
hang in there

Hi Emma,
Yes nose bleeds are quite common as a pregnant lady has double the amount of blood circulating! This can also cause headaches. I have had both so far - go figure

Hi Emma,
I have never suffered from nose bleeds until this pregnancy (2nd pregnancy). It's perfectly normal in pregancy and not much you can do about it either.

Well here's an answer for all nosebleed sufferers...
My Mum was listening to 3AW (Neil Mitchell) and he had a caller call in to say that he's found that eating lettuce leaves when you have a nosebleed stops the bleeding.
Well at first Neil thought it was a joke but then people started calling in saying that they were on medication to stop their blood from clotting and they were told to avoid lettuce whilst on this medication!!
And here I was thinking lettuce leaves were full of water, crunch and not much else!
Give it a try...can't hurt.
