Hi
New to this site. Please help.
My 6.5 month DS continues to wake himself up when he is sleeping. This happens once or up to 4 times a night.
I have tried the sleeping positioners but he just wriggles out or rolls right over the top.
Problem is that he can actually roll himself back, he just doesn't and proceeds to scream the house down. I also have a 4yr DS that is being disrupted by the whole thing.
Little DS does not sleep thru the night and will only sleep for about 40mins thru the day (if Im lucky)
Does ayone have any suggestions or going thru the same thing.

Hi L&Q's mum,
:hugs:
Unfortunately, I can't offer any advice as I am going through a similar problem.
DD is 8.5months and is rolling onto her tummy and crawling around the cot when she gets put down. She doesn't know how to fall asleep on her tum, and isn't rolling back to her back. Instead she is one big, tired, crankypants who won't sleep.
Look forward to any suggestions from those who have been through this

Thanks babycart
You mean I have crawling around the cot to look forward to as well..... YAHOOO!!!
It is driving me crazy. He wakes up so I go in and turn him over but then he wants a feed to settle again. I have given him water once or twice but he has cottoned onto that little trick.
My 1st DS didn't do any of this.
Hope the replies help you as well.

HI
Yes - the crawling is a new trick in this household :)
She has managed to go to sleep on her tum, now to wait and see about how she resettles???
I'm also weaning DD off her night feeds, so feel your pain.
We have been following Save our Sleep for about 4 months, so DD is good at settling without a feed during her day sleeps and going to sleep, it has just been the overnight feed we are trying to drop. We have just taken a tough love approach - comfort, change of nappy and drink of water.
DH has been up twice in the past week at 4am for 60 and 90mins. But the other 5 nights, she slept through :yelclap:
We don't have any other kids to worry about though.
All I can suggest is be consistent and persistent.
With your DS2 - what times are his day sleeps? Maybe it is time to keep him up an extra 15-20mins so he is more tired when he has his sleeps.
At 6.5months, DD was:
7am - milk
8am - solids
9.20am - sleep
11am - milk
12pm- solids
1.20pm - sleep
3pm - milk
5.15pm - solids
6pm - bath
6.20pm - milk
7pm - bed
10.30pm - dreamfeed
overnight - fed when waking
Good luck

I have been told wonderful things about Save Our Sleep and am buying it tomorrow.
DS2 doesnt have a set structured routine. He normally wakes about 6-6:30am and has a feed. ATM I am converting him to formula and bottles because I am not producing enough milk.
He normally wants to go to sleep about 2.5 hours after he wakes up but I have kept him up for an extra hour to really wear him out over the past 2 days and it seems to be working. He puts himself to sleep in his cot.
He always has a bath at 6pm, followed by a top up feed, a little quiet time and then bed where he puts hismelf to sleep. Wakes up thru the night because rolls onto his stomach. If he didn't roll, he wouldn't wake. I spent the night watching him once just to see what he does in his sleep. Never again.
