DS1 is a VERY VERY fussy eater. The only things he will eat for dinner is chips and sauce, pie with sauce, and cucumber(he calls it cheese  ). Sometimes he will eat fish fingers or chicken nuggets. He will not eat meat anymore.
For lunch he will eat either a vegiemite or vegiemite & sauce or devon and sauce sandwich.
For brakfast he will eat dry fruit loops and that is it.
Other things he will eat are biscuits, chips, sultanas, cake(sometimes) or apple. Apple and sultanas are the only fruit he will eat.
If I don't give him any of these things he will wait till he gets his milk in a training cup. He has that morning and night.
I am at my wits end trying to work out what to give him to eat. I want him to eat more healthy foods.
I would dearly love some suggestions please.
Oh, he will be 3 in september

If he likes pies, try to use this to your advantage and make a homemade pie and chuck a couple of vegetables into it, cut up very small and maybe even shredded so they arent visable to him.
I have been dealing with a fussy two year old eater and I tried almost everything but the things that seemed to work the best were not changing the food but the encouragement, rather than sitting there saying eat your food! I started making a game out of it saying "how many more mouthfuls do you think are left? Im guessing 8" then she'd say "No there are 4" then theres only one way to find out! Also if i prepare her rice and chicken with some vegies I put the rice and vegies on her plate but let her serve her own chicken up from a "big bowl" with a bit serving spoon for some reason once she served it up herself she felt as if she needed to eat it! Also using her 6 yr old brother as an example i say "Wow look at how well Felix is using his knife and fork, can you show me how you use yours?"
I hope this helps I know how tough 2 yr olds can be! x

What about making some pasties/sausage rolls etc. Very similar to pies but you can cut up some vegies really small or process them and mix in with the meat filling.

You could try smoothies.

Try adding an egg and whatever fruit you like. You can even put spinach in smoothies. If it is wizzed up enough you cant tell.

Or make a pasta sauce out of veges and blend it up till really smooth and serve it with pasta in interesting shapes.

 OMG, when I read this thread I thought I had written it!!!
My 2.5 yr old DS is exactly the same, he will only eat toast, toast & more toast!
For breakky its toast, lunch is toast or a sandwich, dinner is plain rice or toast!
He doesnt eat meat, but will eat fish sometimes, he will eat fruit if he hasnt had it for a while, he wont eat cheese, any veges including potato, yogurt, pasta, eggs, ham, the list goes on & on.
He basically only likes bready type things, plain rice, biscuits & crackers. He will eat cheesburgers but we dont really like feeding him junk food, although sometimes I cave in just so he has eaten something.
I have tried EVERYTHING, so I know exactly what you are going through, we used to get so frustrated but now we just deal with it because the more we try to encorage him to try different things the more he refuses.
I am still giving him three toddler milk drinks a day so then I know he is getting some form of nutrition as some days he barely eats at all.
I dont know what to try anymore either I just hope as he gets older his appetite may increase:fingerscrossed:
I will be watching this thread closely for any ideas.:)

Sily question but how would I make the pies? I have never made pies before.

Thats not a silly question at all!
You can find heaps of recipes on the internet for pies I did a search for easy beep pie and this one came up and looks pretty good. Also buying the pastry already made makes it easier and quicker, ive never made a pastry myself and dont intend too

Also if he likes cheeseburgers you could make them yourself and they wont be as bad for him. You can just make some meat pattys out of minced meet cook and then while they are still cooking through a piece of cheese onto so it melts add some tomato sauce and a bun!

thank god... i was starting to think my daughter was the only one who didnt eat properly. when i send her to daycare and i see all the salads and yummy food in the fridge i get really upset thinking WHY DOESNT MY DAUGHTER EAT THIS STUF!!!! its so frustrating. She just refuses to try new things. vegemite and yoghurt is what she lives off. (with a few other things "on the side!"

I will try and make some this week to see how he goes. I might just make them in my muffin tin. I will let you know how he goes.

You could also make your own chips out of carrot, pumpkin or sweet potato and see if he will eat them.. just brush with olive oil and bake in a hot oven until cooked, might be worth a try.

I also make my pies in muffin tins for the kids.. You can use any pastry you like - I use either puff or filo.. and add grated veges into the mince as Im cooking it.
(I just put a slice of tomato on the top for the lid - rather than more pastry)

Same with sausage rolls.

You could try making pikelets with apple and zuccini grated into the batter. They're very easy and if you make a big batch on the weekend then you can freeze the extra for snacks later in the week. Freeze between baking paper, then thaw quickly in the microwave.

We've had success with scalloped potatoes recently. DD especially loves the top bits with the cheese melted on them. Carrots cut into coins were a hit for awhile after DD discovered that she could turn them into crescent moon shapes when she took a bite. We had a lot of half eatten carrots, lol.

You can try getting them involved in the cooking and baking too. DD will often have a taste of ingredients (even vegetables) as she's helping me. Good toddler tasks include: selecting ingredients (DD chooses which egg she wants), fetching fruit from the fruit bowl, counting scoops or spoonfuls, shaking herbs salt or pepper, stirring, pouring (with help as necessary), putting cut up or grated vegetables into bowls. DD also sometimes helps set the table, which I think gets her more involved with mealtimes even though it doesn't necessarily get her to eat more.

And for your own peace of mind, substitute whole wheat bread for white if you haven't already. If you toast it then DS may not even notice the difference. I also give DD a multivitamin every morning, again, for my own peace of mind.
