Hi Dp i have been talking about increasing the time that DSD is here. BUT Dp is too scared to ask. So i was wondering.

Where can we go to set up a custody/time allocation and to work out thing like birthdays and holidays, like Mediation would be good but we would like something legally enforceable.

So where would we go to do that? And what sort of things can these people do to help? If any one could help that would be awesome.
We live in Victoria as well.
Thanks in advance.

You'll have to go through the courts if you wish to do it legally, which could cost a bit of $$$.

You can go to mediation and get them to set up a parenting plan that you can THEN take to court if you'd prefer to do it that way. Might help your DP, too. The mediators will contact his ex.. he doesn't have to say a word :D

Mediators are great, non-biased and draw up a plan that suits BOTH families.

Our mediation was done through Relationships Australia.

We sorted all times out & worked out what we wanted in our parenting plan & then they typed it up for us & that's what we stick too.

Good luck with it.

Im not sure what its like in VIC but in W.A doing things through mediation IS lagally enforcable, but both parents must agree and sign to papers.

Say if you go to mediation and your partner and his ex decide to go 50/50 or 60/40 or whatever you decide, then they both sign the papers and it is sent off to a judge. then it is just the same as a court ruling
