ok, this may sound silly but, my ds has never eaten much egg to actually see if he is allergic. he doesnt eat cakes coz most that you buy contain dairy or soy. when he got gastro just before easter i was starting to introduce egg custard but he hadnt taken a liking to it then he got sick :(
anyway i cant give him the egg custard baby food coz it has dairy in it.
how can i give him egg? i am scared he will react badly too it coz he seems to react to so many foods :(

hi jessgray, usually even the smallest amount of egg can cause an allergic reaction. So :fingerscrossed: your bub won't be allergic to it if he has already had it before.
I had my DS tested before I gave him any of the things he was allergic to(dairy, egg, tuna and peanuts|). It was great so now I know just to avoid them all together and I didn't have to go through teh "trail and error" stage.
If I were you I would wait and not give him egg untill you have had the allergie test done. That way you can be safe.
Good luck and I hope he isn't allergic to the egg.

Yep, I'd avoid it and wait. He really did dip out in the allergy stakes didn't he? Poor thing...

thanks :) i hope he isnt allergic. i dont think DP has come to terms with the rest of ds's allergies yet lol
i just thought it might sound silly to be a bit worried about intorducing egg.my mchn asked me last time she came if ds had eaten egg yet and i said nope.
