Is there such a thing as Hemp burning the skin when nappy is wet?? I borrowed (to try) a hemp nappy for DS1 and well when I changed him it appears like it has burnt the top of his legs where the wet nappy was sittting against.... I have never had this happen with my bamboo nappies!!! :eek:

Could he be allergic???

I doubt it is an allergy, but maye a reaction to the washing powder the nappy owner uses? Was it too tight?

I washed it before i used it and he has never reacted to our washing powder.... No i don't think it was to tight.... it was firm but still had some give if you know what I mean.....

It has just puzzled me..... He is getting to big for his BBB so I am looking for other nappy alternatives (particularly for night time)..... Just don't have a lot of $$$ to spend and not have them work.....

Some people do have allergies to hemp so that could be a possibility. You would think that if it was a hemp allergy that it would react with his skin even when it was dry. But, I would still be thinking that it's a detergent residue build up. You wouldn't be able to tell unless you ran a clear cycle without any detergent and see if there were any suds in the water.
