Of course you can.
With DD I was only 47kg when I fell preg, and the only place my pregnancy showed was in my belly. My arms, legs, face, bum etc were all still very slim.
A lot of the "weight" that pregnant women put on is fluid as well, so if you are lucky enough to avoid this then you even miss out of the puffy ankles!

I lost weight in the beginning of my pregnancy due to excessive vomitting.... :o .... had I already been a slim build person I'd have been pretty unwell, but I was already rather curvy, so it worked out well.
But it was funny for people who'd not seen me since before I was pregnant at my 21st birthday when I was 6 months pregnant were going "WOW! you look great, you're so thin!" (compared to before :o)
I definately think its possible. If you were a slim build, healthy, active woman before becoming pregnant, you dont immediately just explode out in all direction.
Some do though. Some dont.
I think it is possible to eat sensibly and maintake your existing level of activity and stay healthy when pregnant.
(but those models are probably as common as any model is.... ya know?)

Don't feel dumb, that's what this site is about :D
I was 56kgs when I fell pregnant with DD, and 45kg when weighed the day before giving birth at 36 weeks. I wore the same jeans I'm wearing right now, they're size 8 Levi jeans and I've had them for about a decade hahaha. The only jeans I had to stop wearing were the ones that were higher in the waist, these ones and my other ones sat on my hips so were ok to wear. My belly didn't get that big either because DD sat at the back so my work shirts and some of the polo shirts were fine to keep wearing, just the fitted t shirts weren't able to be worn for the last 3 months.

I've lost weight during this pregnancy, I'm now a size 9 (bump and all), I was a size 10 coming into this pregnancy.
Definately possible :) but you will find most of those models are wearing something to make them look pregnant, or are photoshopped.
Me personally No. I put on tons of weight. My friend didnt put anything on, she lost it as she gained it so she was prepreg weight during pregnancy.

I lost weight in this pregnancy. I was 52 kg when I fell pregnant, lost weight and I'm now 51 kgs at 16 weeks :D
With my first pregnancy, I weighed 52 kg when I fell preg, put on 12 I think, then weighed 57 when I left the hospital.

I havent put on any weight, and thats with a giant baby and a gain of 40cm around my waist, but I wasnt skinny to start with (size 14, 6 foot tall) but my older sister gained 35kg with her twins.
And I eat like crazy, the baby just takes all my calories.
I honestly expected to gain a fair bit when preg, since I could eat whatever I wanted, rather than 'dieting' all the time :)

Yes you can.
Yes. I was all belly, I didn't put weight on my arms/legs/bum/face. No-one could tell I was pregnant from behind, and from the front it basically looked like I had grabbed the nearest basketball and shoved it under my top.
A lot of the times, they use models with fake bellies though.

in my case, nope.
i am always fat when i fall pregnant. it usually takes me two years to get rid of the baby weight. I've seen some pregnant women doing afternoon walking near my house and their are really slim.
with my first i was massive. i looked like a house and felt like one too. this time ive not put on much at all, i dont know how much i have but before i fell preg ds was 6 months i was 39kgs. i had something go wrong with my body and was loosing way too much weight, i was on meds for it when i fell preg and had to stop, i am still thin and get you need to put on more weight from people all the time.

If people walked behind me, they didn't think I was pregnant! I didn't even hit 60kgs, but I was all belly!!

Lol pregnant and skinny are 2 words that wouldn't get used in the same sentence when describing me prenant unless there's a big fat NOT in there as well haha

I didn't put on ANY extra fat when I was pregnant. I was a slim size 10/12 when I fell pregnant and you couldn't tell I was pregnant from behind. After DS was born I was back in my normal jeans within days.
I put it down to plenty of exercise, eating healthy and staying away from junk food. DS was born very healthy at 4.375kg too, so it certainly didn't do DS any harm for me to be healthy.

I was skinny with DD. I was 45 kg when I fell pg and throughout the pg I looked like a skinny woman with a huge bump. People used to say if they looked at me from the back I didn't even look pg then I turned around with this massive belly
I put on what I would consider about average weight during PG- put on about 14kg and lost 11kg...still have those extra 3 they will not disappear, but funny story my mum was really skinny before and after me and used to get away with 1/2 fares on public transport even though she was 24....until they saw her belly!!!

I only put on 7kg with DS but I was overweight to start with :D
I've seen lots and lots of women who are heavily pregnant but apart from that their bodies look like they did before they were pregnant - very slender and fit.
It's not unhealthy if that's the way you are built. I love seeing pregnant women of all shapes and sizes though. Just makes me grin like an idiot. Being pregnant is the best.
