I am looking at my very first BFP ever!! :smiliedance:
I am 16 DPO (I have a 28 day cycle, 16 of which are usually luteal phase) and had vowed that I would not test during the 2WW.I had even intended to wait a couple of days more past Luteal P. But today, a day before The Dreaded Reds, I cracked; I went and bought two tests....

Before testing, I did a good two minute job of preparing myself for the possible dissapointment. Also, so that DH wouldn't wonder why I was taking so long in the loo, I intentionally asked him to bring me a magazine (to the loo) and of course as I knew he would, he assumed that I was super constipated :D and was planning on being there quite a while.
5 minutes seemed too long to be seated squinting at some imaginary line and after about 30 secs, I threw some papers over the test and grabbed the magazine (Whom was I kidding? Do I even remember what I read??:) )

Of course, after waiting for 16 DPO, I just could not wait it out through the required 5 testing minutes;) . After about two and a half minutes, I peeped and there it was, a pretty dark line, almost identical to the control line!

At the moment, I am excited and slowly taking it in. I want to find a nice way of telling DH...Any ideas anyone?? I think I will wait a day or two.

Thank you all verry much ; this is a great place with fine people, where I have found lots of great support and good advice and I will still be around here to share.
I have my fingers crossed for all of you waiting to test and and those waiting to O. Lots of baby dust to you. May this will be your month!!

Beeata, that's wonderful news.

Looks like from your chart you had some lovin on day of ovulation so it could be a boy.

Hope your DH is as excited as you and you have a very easy pregnancy and a beautiful baby.

Thanks Everyone for sharing my happiness and for the good wishes! :hugs: I'm really happy.
As you'd probably guess, I couldn't hold off telling DH. I did so about 45 minutes ago.
I simply told him I had left him a gift in the pen holder on his desk. He was just about to start some repairs in the kitchen and I preferred to give him the news before he got absorbed. So I prompted him abit asking him, "Well, dont you want to see it, well, it's a gift ...But well, unlike others, this one you can't take it back....''
So off he went upstairs... After a minute or so of silence I went up and he was looking at one of them and asking me what it was, what they were !! (I took another test this morning and had put both). It was so sweet, he was totally clueless....
Jennasmum, like you, I ended up showing him the leaflet that accompanies the test:laughing:
Then his eyes were brimming with tears and unexpectedly, I too was in tears....Happy ones...
Colly, nope, DH didn't /wouldn't fuss about not telling him right away, so long as I don't keep it from him for months:) .
Finally keeping it simple was best
