Mothers' Group (age 27-32) near Sydney CBD

Hi ladies. I'm a new mum in Ultimo and was wondering whether there is a mothers' group around Sydney Metro area. There are groups in Glebe but they seem to have older mothers (over 35).

I'm a first time mum (age 29) and would like to meet up with mothers closer to my age who are also first time mums.

Hi Susan. First time mum here too. I'm 32 years old and my son is 12 months. We live in Rose Bay. I've only moved to Sydney, almost 6 months ago. I've heard of Ultimo but never been. Maybe we can organize something...

I live in Stanmore and go to Leichhardt playgroup Friday mornings 1030am - 1230pm, Uniting Church Hall (Wetheral St?). Would be pretty easy to get to from Ultimo.
I'm 26, but most of the other mum's are slightly older (none older than 35 max). For everyone, except me, it's their 1st bub.
Numbers each week vary from 3-4 to 10 or so. Bubs ages range from 5 mths - 14 mths.

It's pretty light hearted, coffee/tea, tonnes of toys for the kids to play with. In better weather we used to go the the local park and spend the time there.

We're a part of the Playgroup Association, and we pay $30 (?)/yr (can't remember why, but it goes towards stuff:rolleyes: ). Our group pays $2/wk, which we put towards milk, biscuits, etc, plus we donate some of it for using the hall.

I should add that we're a playgroup for newborns through to 18mths, so don't feel that your bubs is too young! Some of the bubs just lay there doing nothing while us mum's talk, while other bubs crawl around, have a feed, etc.

If Newtown is an ok trip for you can I suggest Lennox House (http://www.australist-p.schools.nsw.edu.au/lennoxhouse.html) ... it has playgroup every morning, plus sessions in baby gym, kindy gym and tiny tots music. You pay per session.
