Hi guys thanks for the warm welcome. Kelli, have we met before? Sorry, I am on quite a few forums. I love meeting up with lots of other mums. I am on another forum that we meet up once a week now and it's great. That's why I joined here to see if there's more.
How's everyone's weekend going?

I am a bubhubber at heart - that being said, both the kids have had colds and DH has been working mad hours, getting tax done and blah..... Am glad the week is over! By the time i remember to check the townsville thread, am half asleep. Tell them they haven't scared me, and i will post sometime this week.

Hi Relvy, look forward to chatting

Hi Kristy,

I moved to Townsville when I was 14 so I have been here for 15yrs, and would not go back to Sydney to live but I would go for a holiday. How long have you been here??

Hubby works for Tradelink Plumbing. We went for a drive out to the damn a few weeks ago. It is nice out there.

05-08-2006, 15:14
ohhh, what did she call her bub?

madmumof3
05-08-2006, 15:17
Kelli: Lorina called her bub Keysha. She even went home yesterday!!!! She is superwoman!

Minke
05-08-2006, 15:18
i've never knew there was a dam at Kelso? Last time i lived here I spent most of my time in the city (lived in West End). I think i've seen more of townsville in the 1 month i've been back then 5 years we were here before! (we've been driving around looking at land:rolleyes: )

Hospital, after having a baby should be viewed as a holiday! I stayed five night both times!:D

madmumof3
05-08-2006, 15:22
Kelli: I stayed for 5 days with my 1st DD, 3 days with my 2nd DD and not even 48 hours after DS. They were all c-sections too.

Minke
05-08-2006, 15:23
that would be why your username is 'mad' mumofthree :D ;)

~rambox~
05-08-2006, 15:24
I was going to stay the whole 5 days with No: 4 but I missed the other 3 so much I only stayed 2 days.
After being home for an hour i wanted to go back

Minke
05-08-2006, 15:27
I had to stay in with DS - blood transfusions 2 days after i had him (c-section), so they wanted to keep an eye on me, but with DD who was natural (no complications) I stayed the whole five days in an attempt to not spend time with my MIL! That sounds nasty, but really i am a nice person.... :D

Relvy - where did you have your boys?

~rambox~
05-08-2006, 15:29
I had all 4 at Wesley Park Haven. Beautiful hospital and I got the family room this time round which is like a mini motel room. What about you?

madmumof3
05-08-2006, 15:30
lol Kelli, I was mad way before the kids came along....ask DH lol.

I liked having a night with just me and DS when he was born. That's all I wanted. Had him on late wednesday afternoon and went home early Friday morning. YAY! I hate hospitals.

Minke
05-08-2006, 15:32
Had DD at the Townsville Mater - had Dr Steve. DS was born at Mackay Mater. The townsville mater was far better, but no more for me... ;) I didn't know they did deliveries at Park Haven?

~rambox~
05-08-2006, 15:37
Yeah, They are also almost complete with their huge bath so you can have a water birth there.

I can't imagine four boys! Do you get asked all the time if your going back for one more "to try for a girl"?

One of my friends has four girls  and is just preggers with her fifth and everyone keeps saying how nice it would be if she got a blue one! She said she's so used to having girls she'd faint if it came out with a willy! (and she'd said she'd have to buy a small pair of tongs  ;) )

~rambox~
05-08-2006, 15:49
I am the same, i would not know what to do with a girl. I am thinking about one more :banghead: but i dont care what it is.

My boys r real boys as they find dead animals and bury them under my stairs arrrrgg

My hubby is at work, so just me and the kids. I am used to Saturday nights at home...

Relvy - if you ever need to see the other side you can borrow my princess (as she likes to be called). She is the ulimate in girly-girl - have no idea where she came from (i was always a tomboy) think she must get it from her father . I now go to dancing three afternoons a week! And she has the attitude going already at 5! (we've started saving up for boarding school!)

****... Chloe is still not well (read runny nose), so have had her home from school.

:yelclap: On a brighter note - got my Trolley monster today! Bit excited (won it off ebay the other day) it is so cool!

Other than that, have to go shopping tomro for bubby present - my friend had a boy the other night, and pick up my quit smoking book (which apparently works - i want to know if it works if you have a five year old who likes the sound of her own voice! )

Congrats Relvy for quitting, do you still get the mood swings and cravings with zyban?

Talk to you later, Kelli

Hi,

Sorry to hear that Chloe isn't well. I hope she clears up soon. What's a trolley monster?

Minke
09-08-2006, 22:25
It's one of those things that fits into the front of a trolley... to stop the kids from sucking on germs.

10-08-2006, 08:31
Hi Girls,

Sorry haven't been on for a few days my computer crashed. No I didn't get mood swings or cravings whilst on the Zyban. I feel so much healthier for quitting and my hubby is also going to give it a go.

I also have a Trolley Monster and connor didn't get half as many sicknesses as the older two did when i didn't have it.

I Have a new Nephew that was Born Yesturday :smiliedance: He was two weeks over and weighed 9pd 2oz  They Named Him Cooper Dane. I also Have my Sister in labour at the moment and she is also having a boy and guess what his name is ........... Yep Cooper John:laughing: at least i wont forget their names.

I will let you know how much Cooper 2 weighs when he graces us with his presence.

Talk soon
Bec

Minke
10-08-2006, 12:41
Relvy - Will have to tell my friend about the Coopers - her boy was born on Sunday night, 8lb 9oz and his name was.... Cooper John! (She's in Hervey Bay atm, but will be moving up here next year...) I didn't realise it was that popular! BTW love all your boys names!

DH and I are getting serious about the quitting smoking thing... I have a cough that doesn't really go away, and it just costs sooo much! DH keeps telling me to imagine all the stuff I could buy if I gave up (am also addicted to shopping :D )

Better go, Jack is cracking...

Umm - I don't mean to butt in on private conversations.......but what is this about and is it me? cause I would not like to think that people are not going to turn up to actually meet and make friends because of something said in another thread or something? :(
If possible - please explain?
