So what did u have for dinner tonight (give me some ideas for tomorrows night dinner!)
We had lamb loin chops with morroccon chamoulla dry spice rub. And a salad with corn, cucumber, tomotoe, red onion, parsley, fetta and a mayo dressing. Corn was on sale, 4 cobs for $2!!!

I nibbled on beef samosas as I made them to freeze for my DS's birthday party on Saturday.
We ate the dodgy ones as the others were popped in the freezer :D DS also had corn, not a good night for vegies

I roasted up some veges, made some pastry, and did a rpoasted vegetable/ricotta tart for dinner.
It was nice, although I didnt' realise till we tasted it that I'd used unsalted butter in the pastry so it came out a little "dessert"-ish.

dumb question but what are devilled sausages?
my dinner was super quick and easy - took 15min! thats why i made it - I put the whole corn cobs in the microwave for 10min, diced a bit of tomato, cucumber, onion. Cut the corn of the cobs. Chucked in some parsley. Then a few hunks of fetta. Mixed some mayo with lemon juice S & P.
Lamb - just cooked in frypan and sprinkled with the rub, then when it was almost cooked squeezed a lemon over it.
Seriously on the table in 15min!
My DH is anti carb and anti over cooked food so its lots of salads....

I only cook separately for DS if we're having something spicy (esp Indian cuisine), DS hasn't acquired that taste yet. I usually have frozen homemade stuff I can reheat for him on those days anyway (like cauliflower cheese).

Its smart thinking ;).
I cook a double lot of what ever we're having & kids get 2 lunches & a dinner out of it. Do it most nights.
If we have something like we did tonight (hamburgers), kids wont eat it which is why their a night behind us.

DS only eats something different if i know he wont eat what we are having or vice versa. I dont eat Tuna Bake so i cooked something different
DH and I had ricotta and spinach lasagne.
DD had the last of the vegies from the crisper...must do some shopping :D
Bacon Carbonara (low fat version from the Symply Too Good cookbooks). Was very delish, even DS ate it, and he isn't big on eating dinner at all.

pinkfluffymarshmellows - what are dutch sausages?
its sort of like rookworst , but better , it is thick sausage and is cooked when you get it (smoked not grilled) then you just heat it in boiling water
much better for you than normal sausage and does not have the same fatty salty flavour
