Pram servicing!

Is it just me, and it might be because I live in my own little world, but is there just no such thing as pram servicing??

Why not?

Why do I have to take my pram to a bike shop to get the wheels pumped up - there's not room to swing a cat in there and they look at me like I'm insane.

I live in Melbourne - there are thousands of babies and thousands of prams, all getting dirty and stiff and nowhere to pop into to get my pram serviced. Or is there?

I mean, they are expensive things, and they need to be safe. I would dearly love to have the breaks checked. I would pay good money for it. I have no 'handy husband'.

Would somebody please start up a pram servicing business somewhere accessible by public transport in Melbourne. Add in a coffee machine and a swing set and I'll be first in the queue.

Enough with the SAHM cloth nappies - what I need is pram servicing.

I did all that myself! Even changed a tyre! Buy a pump (or you could pay me to do it! :D)

We have a couple of these places in little old Perth, so I am sure you would have some in Melbourne! you should call a big pram place like the one in Glenhuntley and ask where they recommend.

There's nothing in the phone directory, and nothing to google. You'd think there would be adds in the free children's paper. I really think somebody is missing a good business opportunity. There are bike maintenance shops and second hand shops everywhere - it makes no sense that there are none for prams. Second hand prams go for loads on ebay.
