IN THE BEGINNING:

No of multiples (eg twins, trips): twins - MC/DA boys

Names (or abbreviations will do if you don't want to name your children on the WWW): L and B

Age: 17 months

Prem, full term or overdue: Full term, born at 37 + 3. L weighed 7lb 3oz, B 5lb 12oz

Delivery: elective c/s, a most positive experience :goodvibes:

Worst part of a multiple pregnancy: Getting big very quickly leaving terrible stretchmarks, having a foot stuck in my ribs for 3 months + which was also on a nerve which meant anything touching on my skin on the outside caused excruciating pain, and having to spend 4 months + sleeping on the recliner.

Best part of a multiple pregnancy: Two for the price of one!

And now the fun!

WHICH/WHO?

Which one gives the best hugs? L- this boy knows what a bear hug is!

Which is the most mischevious? B.. a climber from 11 months, he keeps me on my toes and is always pushing the boundaries

Who is the funniest? B... he loves an audience, and once he gets a laugh he keeps going back for more.

Which one is the better eater? Always been L.

Who is the better sleeper? They're both hideous, but traditionally L has always been better than B (but even then he's no angel!)

Who is more dominant? B I think... they both have their moments

Who is the eldest, and by how much? L, by 1 minute.

Who was the first to roll? B

Who was the first to crawl? B beat L by about 10 days.

Who was the first to cruise? B

Who was the first to walk? B beat L by about 1 week.

Who was the first to cut teeth? B beat L by about 2 days.

Togetherness!

Do your multiples play together, without guidance from an adult? Yes, thank goodness. When they're tired they're hopeless together, but when they're both in good moods they entertain each other :D

What is their favourite game to play with each other? Hide and seek!!

Do they fight? (Who normally instigates?) B has a quicker temper than L, and so will normally bite or hit L if things don't go his way.

Do they do everything together, eg wake at the same time, dirty their nappies at the same time? YES YES YES YES! I am so curious to know if other multiples do this too!?

When one is awake but the other is still asleep, does the one up go hunting for the other one? Yes, very cute but very annyoing. I have started to have to lock them in the lounge so they don't go and wake their brother up.

Your favourite story so far: Just the other day I had the camera out, and I said to L (my huggy-bear) to give B a hug. So he went over and embraced him and gave him a kiss. It was gorgeous. B tolerated it (he's not overly huggy) and I managed to get a pic which I might upload :) Pic here (http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/album.php?albumid=1876&pictureid=10290)(note: faces are intentionally hidden, as BH is easily googled and I like to protect them from the nasties out there :p)

When one is awake but the other is still asleep, does the one up go hunting for the other one? not really - with 2 older siblings, i think they enjoy their quiet time!

Your favourite story so far: Involves my now 5yo DD.....she got a few dolls, blankets and pillows (was before bubs were mobile) and set them all up like a big sleepover party ont he loungeroom floor - with L & E in the middle on pillows and 'tucked in' while she sat at the front reading to all her 'kids' And also LOVE every morning when they all see each other awake and it's big grins and cuddles all round.

Reading all these stories on younger twins, brings back so many memories that I had forgotten as mine are 4 now....

My 2 got married the other day to each other LOL..I said to hubby when he got home that they got married and K (girl) goes " we were just pretending mum" in this voice of how could u be so silly to think we really got married LOL LOL!!

Yesterday we drove past Dh in his car, so N(boy) started crying and wanted to go in dads car..So i said lets follow him..(he was only going ot post something) so we did, parked and hubby came over and N got out and went with him..we would be seeinh them again in no more than 5 mins MAX and he is like " Bye K, I'll miss you soo much, see you soon, I love you" I only got a goodbye cause I asked for a kiss LOL!

It just gets better and better the bond..watching it grow is so beautiful!! Of course there are days when you wouldnt even think they liked each other...LOL!

Who is more dominant? Flissy she is the oldest she thinks she is the boss!

Who was the first to roll? Flissy looking for trouble of course.

Who was the first to crawl? Flissy again

Who was the first to cruise? Both at about the same time

Who was the first to walk? Both at about the same time.

Who was the first to cut teeth? Nicky

Togetherness!

Do your multiples play together, without guidance from an adult? Yes they can.

What is their favourite game to play with each other? They like to help each other get in to trouble.

Do they fight? (Who normally instigates?) Yes they sure do flight and Flissy is the instigator.

Do they do everything together, eg wake at the same time, and dirty their nappies at the same time? They used too but not now.

When one is awake but the other is still asleep, does the one up go hunting for the other one? That would be Nicky

Your favourite story so far: Once I was talking to a young man, maybe 19 or 20, who looked at my babies and asked if I had two boys or two girls. I replied, "Oh, they're a boy and a girl."

"I thought they were twins?"

"They are!" I answered, and then I had to explain that, yes, this was possible.

He couldn't seem to grasp the difference between fraternal and identical twins.

Finally he asked, "Are you sure?"

Good idea Nomsie. :)

No of multiples Fraternal twin girls

Names (or abreviations will do if you don't want to name your children on the www) A and H

Age 6 years and 4 months

Prem full term or overdue Full term @ 38 weeks and 2 days. A was 2.680kgs and H was 3.180kgs.

Delivery c-section

Worst part of a mulitple pregnancy I had a huge DVT and couldn't walk, bad morning sickness and needed to buy maternity pants on crutches with a bowl.

Best part of a multiple pregnancy Definately that through it all they were perfectly ok and growing.

WHICH/WHO?

Which one gives the best hugs? That depends on where you are. At school I always get gorgeous big hugs from H while A pretends I'm not there most of the time. But away from school A always hugs us and kisses us when you least expect it.

Which is most mischievous? A

Who is the funniest? H

Which one is the better eater? H

Who is the better sleeper? H definately as A gets the odd night terror. A also started refusing day sleeps from 16mths old while H had always loved her sleep.

Who is more dominant? H, she thinks she is the mummy and always picks A up or tries to tell her what to do.

Who is the eldest, and by how much? A by 1 minute.

Who was the first to roll? A

Who was the first to crawl? A

Who was the first to cruise? A

Who was the first to walk? A

Who was the first to cut teeth? H

TOGETHERNESS

Do your multiples play together without the guidance from an adult? Yes

What is their favourite game to play with each other? At the moment it's schools which can also involve colouring in or "work" or littlest pet shops.

Do they fight? (Who normally instigates?) Yes they do sometimes. Umm H will try to tell A what to do and if she gets too bossy then A will hit her over the head and run off screaming. So we have to step in obviously.

Do they do everything together, wake at the same time, dirty their nappies at the same time? No but they did need to go to the toilet together at school all the time (not sure if they still do). With waking up we have one sleepy head (H) and one early bird (A). Not the same as what you were asking but as of next term they were doing the same after school activities together and if we even mentioned them having a choice of doing something different from each other it would result in tears. Just this month they have both decided to leave the dance classes they were doing and A wants to go to the same dance school as DD1 while H wants to do netball.

Favourite story so far? Ummm, I can't think. They are cute when they play mummy and baby. H hugs and kisses A, carries her (which I keep telling her not to do, she's going to hurt herself one day) and tucks her in. Oh, I have a photo I love when they were about 12mths old with A sitting in a dolls pram and H pushing her both with a big grin on their faces.

Your favourite story so far: My boys are just like any other siblings, not especially close because of their twin-ship. However, I loove those brotherly moments when they show how much they care...

Last night A threw a tanty at bedtime and chose to sleep on the floor behind the bedroom door, with much crying involved (he's having an awkward phase with bedtime).

He quieted quickly so we didn't go in to him.

Later that night he woke crying and we went in to calm him... only to find his twin, E, curled up pressed aginst A, fast asleep. Awww. E gave up his warm comfy bed to comfort A and sleep with him :)
