Can someone tell me where i can go to an actually physical store that sells various types of baby slings where i can look, touch and eel, and try out slings before buying them?

Hi,
Baby Bunting used to have a bunch of slings/carriers on display that you can try on.
Good luck

i know baby bunting have the baby bjorn type things and sometimes ergo, but would they have any of the more natural kind ie pouch types like peanut shell or mod mum etc?
i'll just call them ;) lol
There's a couple on Northcote high street that have peanut shell etc, and one has some really pretty locally made ones. And there's nice coffee places!
Bebe in South Yarra have a sling library. You can borrow them and try them out. It's an awesome idea.

You can actually borrow them online or go instore to do it.
P.S. I Love love love my ergo.
baby bunting in maribyrning has the slings to try on!
i love my hug-a-bub!!!
Wow thanks for all your replies ladies! Off do do some looking around :) i am off to the fabric store again today for one more look, but if i can't find suitable material with a pattern / print i like (i made a great pouch sling which i am superbly happy with but was only supposed to be a practice one so not the nicest material.) then will look at buying one :)

another suggestion i just want to make is, looking up doula's in your own area - most doula's (well the ones that i know) will have large selections of slings which you can try out, and then go buy online.
maybe not as useful if you're living in inner-melbourne and stores are easier. but for towns with less good baby stores.
well, i went to the fabric store and...................
Success!!!
I found some amazing fabric with beautiful pinky toned paisley and some bright hot pink for the lining - i made another pouch sling (my first was a practice with cheap sheeting) it turned out BEAUTIFULLY!! I'm so happy so my search for a sling store is now over i am so happy with the one i made i think i will just use that :) both my girls just love it. (2 months and 17 months)
Very pleased with my half hours work and the gorgeous sling i produced from it :) looking forward to our easter festival and carrying one of my babies round in it for most of the day :)
Good on you!
I wish I could sew. I could save a fortune on clothes. Enjoy your easter festival.
