Now that I've got your attention :devil6: , how do you get socks to stay on your childs feet??

My son's feet can be freezing cold, yet he wont leave his socks on and screams if he can't get them off....He also hates me putting a blanket over him to try keep him warm.....unless he's asleep.

I quiet often get nasty looks off people at the shops or hear rude comments about my feet being covered and his not :ecomcity:,and I've had my cousin treat me nastily and b*tch about me for not putting socks on him on his birthday and I always carry his socks with me just in case when I try, he'll leave them on...but so far no success.......

Does anyone else have a problem with this???? If so what do you do?

my mum always put us in tights and socks over the tights so we could still remove our socks put with the tights our feet were still covered. My brother was one for taking his socks off, so tights solved the problem.

its a never ending battle for me. my ds will pull his shoes off and then pull his socks off and then eat his feet lol
sometimes he is happy to wear shoes and socks till we get home thenthey have to come off as soon as he gets home or else he will eat his shoe and cry coz he cant get them off lol
if bubs isnt cold i wouldnt worry about socks. when ds doesnt want socks on i jsut put a blanket over his legs :)

The only problem is he screams if there is anything on his feet, I had to stop putting him in suits as he was stressing himself out and becoming angry when I put he in them........ He wont even allow me to put a blanket on him, so at home I have to constantly have ythe air con on........driving me crazy with his temper..lol

how old's your little one? spencer used to do all that - rip off the socks and the hats, pull of the blanket etc etc. i haven't got the solution but i can say they grow out of it. now that he's 18 months, he loves putting on socks and shoes before going out. keep persisting...i know it's a pain but they do grow out of it.

I find the Bonds socks with the little grip spots on the bottom are excellent for staying on. They have a little roll down cuff that prevents them being too tight around the leg so they don't leave a mark and they stay on all the time. These are the only socks I use now as I found all of the others would slip down. DS doesn't really try to pull these ones off either so they must be more comfortable. Highly recommend!!

my son did that for a little while also, i just kept persisting. he still sometimes takes his socks or shoes off but i just keep putting them back on the moment i notice they aren't on. he is starting to get the idea that im going to win and he's going to loose!! lol
i know its a pain in the butt, all you can really do is keep at it. aiden is the same with blankets too, i have to make sure he's well and truely asleep b4 putting the blanket on.
