He has a significant birthday coming, and i am broke, unable to find work etc....:(
What can i get him for say, 10$??
What can i make him?
I am crafty in a sense, but I'll need to know now what to do, in case i stuff it up (which i will do a few times over)
He is a real blokey bloke, but a gentle soul if that makes any sense.
Thanks for any help given, i really appreciate it..
Oh, and if you need to know more, just ask!

I dunno if your DP is into this sort of thing, but one thing I made for DF once that I am so proud of is this:
I got a box, just a pretty box, and a few sheets of red paper, and some tissue paper.
I wrote 100 reasons why I love him on a 100 red love hearts that I cut out of the red paper. I put them in the box which was lined with tissue paper.
I then made one big love heart, and wrote him a short love letter, titled 101 reasons why I love you (and made the love letter the 101th reason why I love him).
I also threw in a few of those love heart sequins too. Put the lid on the box and gave it to him :D
It's a bit cheesy, but if thats something DP is into then that might be something nice?

Hi,
Do you have any photos that you could put to music on a dvd? If you know your way around the computer you could put a little something together.
I can give you some tips if you haven't done it before but want to give it a try.
Wouldn't cost anymore than some dvd's to burn it onto. Or even just do it on the computer and give it to him from there. Then it would be free!
Good luck.

What about a book of checks for different things..... not nec sexy ones but I am sure he'd love some of them ;) but fun and silly stuff too eg.
Picnic in the park
1hr of time to himself
a massage
a special meal
an icecream at the shops
a night at movies (post date this one and save for it)
a night in with some videos (his choice) popcorn and a drink
a date to cook a special meal together - after the kids are in bed

Another option is to see if you can get something run down that he would enjoy restoring. Perhaps an old shed off ebay.
Or something that is the beginning of something, such as a tackle box if he might have an interest in fishing, or a putter to get him to try gold, something that is basically a gateway gift to something else that can be fleshed out later.
Get an old hard cover book. glue the pages down so its open halfway. spray paint the whole thing it gold (or any other clolour you might like). Stick a picture of the two of u on one side and a note, letter, poem, date u got together etc. on the other side.
Makes a nice ornament thingie Lol

my friend did this for her dad's 50th:
Put a list together of significant people in his life- friends, family, sports stars, actors, authors, old bosses, teachers, whoever has been important to him in some way. Write and ask them to send him birthday wishes, then put all the responses into a book. We were absolutely FLOORED at the people who responded, included eddie maguire, lou richards, tim winton, bill clinton, bob hawke, gough whitlam, paul mccartney, kerry packer, paul kelly, all personal messages. And of course the really special ones were from the old teachers and footy coaches he had as a boy, and old long lost school friends.
