I need a vent...

I really need a good vent right now, otherwise I'll never get to sleep tonight... And thoughts would be appreciated.
Okay, so my SIL is back from overseas for a month... she left when I was 6m preg, so hasn't met DS yet. She's been home for two weeks already, and we only get told tonight that they'll (MIL, FIL, SIL) be coming to visit us - we live 8hrs away. Since she's been back I feel like shes not even interested in seeing DS... as a mum, that hurts. I'm so offended and angry, I dont even know how i'm going to be civil when they come.
Up until now DH has been totally with me as far as being offended, and now after talking to his MIL and her saying they're coming up, I get the "Dont get pi*&ed about it". I'm sorry?? Are we still on the same page here? :banghead:
And whats got me FUMING is that shes been on Messenger for the last hour, looking at my icon saying 'online' and didn'y even say hi. Grr!! I'm starting to think she's go the sh*$s with me... and thats fine, but DO NOT take it out on MY son... your FIRST and ONLY nephew (first offsrping of any of her siblings!!) Apparently shes missing her BF from OS... nice to see when her priorities are!!:thumbsdown:

shes jealous of you....sorry but what else could it possibly be?? I agree with you, she has no excuse to ignore her nephew.....man I would have been hanging to see my nephew if I hadn't ever met him!!!

MY SISTER IS THE SAME!Shows no interest in my son.I dont care anymore-its her loss!Her problem is that when I was preg and had Riley,everyone paid us attention and she got none.Jealous!!I would say your SIL is the same!Dont sweat it,shes not worth it:hugs:

Sounds like she's just totally caught up in her own life, which doesn't excuse her rudeness for not showing an interest in your son but maybe she's so self absorbed she doesn't realise she's offending you (I just know that's what my own SIL from o/seas is like but now she's got her own bub were all supposed to be besotted with him)!!!

If I were you on the day they were coming to visit would take DS shopping for the morning or to the park so you get home after they arrive and show the same disinterest towards them as they are too you, they probably would expect you to be hanging out on the front porch anxiously awaiting their arrival.
