Hi there i was wondering if anyone can help me i was wondering if anyone knows where i can get a 3d scan done and how much does it cost i live in tweed heads does anyone know of any places around here or any where in the gold coast thanks and all so can you 4d scans yet .

Hi Monique :wave: , Dont know bout the 4D scan, but I had a 3D scan done at Lifespan in Southport, cost $130 but got $80 back from Medicare but took me a month to get in.

i went to life span for my 20 week scan and did not get a 3d one...i got ripped.
jordy and jacks mum is right it takes forever to get in so book early. im too tired to work out how far along you are but if its your 12 week scan most places wont do a 3d scan till the 20 week scan. apparently the baby is too freaky looking :eek:

Hi, :wave: I know that the Australian Institute of Ultrasound at Mermaid Beach does 3d ultrasounds.
Basicly it is a centre where those studying ultrasound get a chance to practise their skills.
All the ultrasounds are free including the 3d ones because your doing them a favour by going. If you take a blank video tape in they will also record it for you!
I went and had a scan there and it was great, they were excellent and so friendly.

Hi there Michelle thanks for that i will give them a ring . nothing like getting things for free especially if u can save $130:smiliedance: also Michelle were they able to tell you the sex of your baby .

with that place at mermaid beach , i went there too and they can give you the sex but they dont check for any abnormalities, so you still should get a proper one done else where...and once again my one there was not 3d..man i have been ripped this pregnancy :laughing:

Yeh they can tell you the sex of bub if you want!
I already knew but asked them anyway (just wanted to make sure haha)
I had 3 different ladies do an ultrasound on me, one by one and I asked them all seperately, they all said A Boy! I was happy then...
surely 4 ppl couldnt get it wrong :laughing:

The 3D scan is just new there, I missed out too unfortunatly but yeh they have it now.
Yeh do make sure you have a proper one done somewhere else too because they dont go looking for abnormalities but if they do find one they will write a letter to your doctor, which they did for me...but all was fine and he is totally healthy :)
