hey ladies... just after some help here...
I had a D&C 15 days ago for a blighted ovum... i was just wondering how long it takes for the HCG levels to drop to nothing so that it doesnt show up on a home test??
because with my last pregnancy (blighted ovum) i found out at 2.5 weeks with a HPT and i tested because i was clumsy and I thought i smelt funny.... same symptoms last night and i just tested for kicks this morning and i got a :bfp: is it possible after 15 days?

yeah it is possible. I was still getting bfp's after 2 weeks after my d&c. Takes a few weeks for the hcg levels to go back to zero. If ur concerned ur doctor can do blood tests to see where your levels are at. They should be getting pretty low by now

but surely low levels wouldnt give me a BFP (http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o309/tanasha13/photo-1.jpg) like it did.... if it had have been faint i wouldnt have thought anything of it...:confused:

how many weeks were you when you had the d&c? Remember depending on the sensitivity of the hpt anything higher then a hcg of 15 will give you a bfp. I was 8 weeks when i had my d&c and it took over 2 weeks for mine to drop.

I was 7 weeks but I did a hpt four days after my d&c as well as blood tests and they were already dropping!!

Hey Baby girl, is the test still really dark? i had a m/c and was doing home hpt to watch it go down, it faded then went darker, DH and I had bded so even though I knew you usually don't ovulate until the hcg reaches 0 i was hoping maybe. Wasn't the case, it looks like it may have been left over tissue from the m/c causing the levels to go up again.

Everyone metabolises hcg differently, some fast some slower, I have had a complete m/c now with the help of methatrexate and I had a level of 4500, in 6 days it had dropped to 2100 and its been another 3 days (9days total) and its still positive, probably around 400-500. So if ur level was higher it still might be as high as 1000 giving a strong positive.

I found following the hpt and seeing them fade at least told me they are going in the right direction. When it got darker i knew something was wrong. I bought a heap of IC's (internet cheapers) so I wasn't wasting a ton of money.

I hope everything is OK and things get sorted out soon.
