Sale anyone?

We have just moved to Sale, Vic from Sydney. We dont know anyone & am really looking for someone to chat/catch up with!
Hopefully someone is near by?

hi there we are just about to move to bairnsdale and im petrified as I dont know anyone or have any family near by... am hoping to use my kids as a meeting people tool.:p.. cant remember how far sale and bairnsdale are i think less than an hour away so if we both still friendless in a month i will be happy to meet up:D

Where r u moving from? We just came from Sydney, before then we were in Melb, so ive done the whole move thing before but its a bit scary & lonely i know! All our family is in Melb but thats still over 2 hours away!

i thought i had to reply as i was just about to post a similar thing in the next day or so..

we moving from melbourne- and this will be our first big move- well not for DH he moved to Oz about 13 years ago but this will be the furthest I have been from my family and friends so im very nervous- but good opportunity for DH in relation to work..

why the move from sydney to sale???

so far we are having trouble finding somewhere to live... DH due to start in 3 weeks and well lets just say rental options in bairnsdale are a touch limited:rolleyes: we own two houses in melbourne and im struggling with the notion of leaving my house where we have just renovated and moving to a run down house or one thats not currently for sale (not keen on weekly open houses)

Oh wow, where from in Melb? Our families are in & around Rowville/Wantirna area!
My hubby is in the RAAF and so first we got posted to Sydney, were there for 2 years now we are here as hubby changed positions and has training as a plane navigator here! So we will be here for a yr or so!
2 hrs isnt so bad from family but not like its a thing that can be done too often for us!
What about ur kids?

hey im quite close to your family we are in endeavour hills... we are only planning on being down that way for a year or so- we want to be back in time for DD to start school.. wow RAAF i guess you guys will be moving around a bit during his career.

Yeh after training has been done we will be posted somewhere else and then should be settled for awhile.
Endeavour hills, very close to our fams! i have few friends there!
