Its pretty normal to get numbness in your legs but i dont know about your hands. Maybe you should go see your Dr.
Are you booked in at C'town Hospy?? The clinic there is really good.
my hands went numb for the fluid building up in my wrists, only happened overnight tho' (when they were dormant)
Get it checked out if you're concerned :)

I have not one complaint about the Mat ward. It is HEAPS better now they have done it up. They had a few teething problems but i think everything is running smoothly now.

ok cool
I was getting that too. Not sure when it was in my pregnancy though.
My leg numbness was due to sciatica :crying: . dont know about my hands though.

My mum got that and it's called Carpal Tunnel. She still gets it now, 32 years later! She swears by acupuncture though!! Good luck.
I also find sleeping with my legs ON TOP of a pillow helps my sciatica. Just put the pillow so just your ankles and a bit of your calves are elevated. SO comfy!!

Hi there
I'm no longer pregnant (happy, healthy 4.5 mnth old) but the numbness you describe is very common in pregnancy for a number of reasons:
- Increased fluid in the body (even if you don't really notice it) causes some compression of nerves - hence the numbness
- Relaxation of ligaments (the bits that join bones to bones at joints) get soft and more flexible - can cause your body to move differently and therefore put additional strain on other bits that would cause the nerve compression.
99 times out of 100 the numbness, tingling and sometimes pain goes away pretty much instantly after giving birth (your first few wee's will tell you just how much fluid you were carrying:D )
It is a good idea to get a professional opinion though. During my pregnancy I had regular osteopathic treatments to keep my body moving - in fact my bub has had a few too - birth is quite traumatic remember!! they don't generally manipulate like chiro's (especially not babies) and are very gentle on the body.
Good luck
Pregnancy is only the beginning!;)
